AutoCAD 2013 :: Enable Single Drawing Compatibility Mode
Jun 13, 2012Where is the setting to enable Single Drawing Compatibility Mode in 2013? It used to be under the system tab in the options and is not there in 2013. Is this option still available?
I want to open multiple drawings in the same AutoCAD window by double clicking a dwg file like I have always done. Is this still possible in 2013?

May 14, 2013In PS CS6 standard screen mode my interface is off the bottom of the page. So I don't see doc Size, zoom % etc. How do I scale it back? I can't grab the bottom corner to scale it up or anything. Because its off the bottom of the page.

May 21, 2004I am running photoshop CS on my laptop which is a Compaq presario 1503 AP.
I have had this problem since I used Photoshop 7 and now Photoshop CS. When I want to go to a new paragraph or the next line using the enter key, it just doesnt work.
When I hit enter, the text just exits the text entry/edit mode.

Annotation scale option is displayed only in the model and viewport mode but not in the lay out mode (attached)!
Based on what annotative objects living on the lay out but neither in the model (or viewport) are re-sized? At this mode, there is no option to choose the annotation scale?
On other words, how to choose the annotation scale in the lay out mode?

AutoCAD 2013 :: How To Manage Ribbon Interface With 16:9 Monitor
Apr 23, 2013we cannot afford giant size monitors. An average AEC firm would have a 23 inch monitor or 21 inches. Now almost all the monitors are 16:9. So already the height of the monitor is reduced when compared to the 4:3 monitor.With the Ribbon Interface, the height of the drawing space becomes even less. Of course the ribbon can be minimized etc. but it is a nuisance revoking it and minimizing again. the 2008 version IMHO had a better interface with dashboards which occupied the vertical space on the right side. This way the height of the drawing space is not affected. It used to be a good interface - why change this into Ribbon mimicking MS Office for a CAD program?
I know that you could still have the Classic interface - but you lose the convenience of the ribbon. Frankly, I am a "command line only" person. But I would like to get used to the Ribbon also. Only at this point of time it started to irritate me the small height of the drawing space.
By very huge monitors? or may be you are using highly advanced models where you have a choice for a 4:3 format? I am struggling. I would like to use AutoCAD the way the rest of the world uses - though I am very fast in command line and know by heart most of the commands & shortcut keys. Sometimes i work in FullScreen mode.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Professional 2013 Can't Run Studio Environment Interface?
Mar 16, 2013I think that something is not the way it is suppose to be at my ribbon I have a Inventor Studio icon but by defaults is not active (it's grayed out) so in order to turn it on I have to go to add ins and turn Inventor Studio off and than on again and in that way I am able to activate the Inventor Studio button but after that all the buttons in the Rendering Studio tab are inactive so I cannot use them. And I cannot figure out where is the problem. Is it because I am using the student version of the software and it has some kind of limitations on the rendering engine, or it is some kind of malfunctioning of my installation. Everything else is working normally I can modell I can do a rey tracing viewport renders but I cannot run the studio environment interface.

Mar 8, 2013os windows 7, upgraded to Gimp 2.8.4 I open an .xcf file and go to single window mode. everthing looks ok the zero offsets on the rulers are where they should be and I can see the bottom of the gimp window where the % size change is. I then ask for a new tool bar which is provided and locked to the widow. if i go to full screen and then back the picture is pushed down as are the ruler zero's and i now can't get to the bottom of the screen. this annoying behavior does not seem to happen in multi window mode. attached is a screen capture.

Nov 15, 2013I'm using GIMP 2.8 on a windows machine. In single window mode I accidentally dragged the edge of the toolbox across my window and now it won't drag back. I get the resizer double-headed arrow but the edge won't move. I don't know what to do. It's entirely unusable in single window mode now, which is what I usually use.

Photoshop :: Document With CMYK Colour Mode
Aug 30, 2011I've only ever created graphics for the screen, now I'm trying to create something for print.I started a Photoshop document with a CMYK colour mode and soon discovered it would only let me choose colours that look murky on screen.
I've been all over the internet to read about CMYK vs RGB etc and I've seen things to suggest that printers can't print the vibrant colours we see on screen. Fine, but what about the magazine I have next to me where I can see beautiful vibrant turquoises and fushias? How did THOSE colours get on to the paper?
If a CMYK colour looks murky on screen will it look more vibrant when printed?

Oct 24, 2013I am working on a project and i am surprised to find a strange multiply blend mode behavior. When i open a new blank document to try again the multiply behavior, all seems to work well.
Is it possible that the document i am working on became corrupted ? I work on a 2012 Macbook Pro Retina 15", Mac OS X 10.8.5 and Photoshop CC 14.1.2.
This is what i see :
- Normal blen mode.
- Multiply blend mode.
Revit :: 2013 Is Not Displaying User Interface In A Correct Manner
Dec 30, 2012I am terribly worried because since I upgraded to Windows 8, Revit 2013 is no displaying the User interface in a correct manner. Many icons/commands are hidden and for example I want to edit a floor, click on it and the Edit boundary doesnt show up unless minimize the panel buttons but it doesnt show up in the expanded panel. Then, once you do it, the red cross and green check mark dont display either. You have to again look on the minimized panel buttons.
Then you finally find where the Edit bounday icon is, click on it, and the option for choosing the boundary lines dont show up and have to expand the panel button.It's been months since Windows 8 is out and Autodesk didn't update Revit to work properly under this new OS?Weird thing is that Revit 2011 seems to not have issues running on Windows 8.

Oct 17, 2012Getting the following message when dragging layers between files - Could not complete your request because an adjustment or fill layer cannot be converted to the destination document mode. Original file was client created and supplied. I have isolated the issue- two hue/saturation adjustment layers. I can and will just recreate them in the new file, but am looking for a root cause or long term solution as it is a new client I believe will be sending me a good amount of production work.

Dec 4, 2012I have no problems publishing to one file from multiple tabs, or plotting to multiple single files named after each tab. I want to batch plot to a single file with bookmarks named after each tab in my AutoCad file. I would think that it would name each bookmark "Filename-TabName" as it goes down the batch plotting (publishing) list. Right now, I print to individual files and combine. This creates bookmarks for each filename like I want, but I have to name my tabs in order, or re-order everything each time which is time consuming.
Is there a setting to create bookmarks as you print to a single file that are named after each tab? This would be cool and very useful. I cannot imagine that I am the only one who wants this.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Can't Start New Document
Aug 30, 2013I may have no prior experience of autocad, but I'm pretty sure what it is doing isn't quite right. When clicking on the IPub icon, then 'New', an options window titled 'Insert...' opens. If I click on the 'New' button the same thing happens. If I click on 'Insert Model', I get the same dialogue window. I have started following a tutorial and I cannot get the 'New' > file types window that the video author gets.
I did a reinstall (not an uninstall > reinstall) and the problem persisists. It is the 2013 version on an education license.
GIMP :: Single Window Mode - Filter Options Windows Behind Main Window On OSX
Mar 11, 2013As a new user I really prefer the single window mode but have a real problem in that every time I open a filter the window/box that open opens up underneath the single window and I cant see it without minimising the main gimp window. I've played with the preferences windows management options and seem to have all the file options curves etc on top now (these were opening under the single window at one point) but nothing I do seems to want to make the filter boxes open where I can see them - It's making GIMP quite unpleasant to use.

How to make a file ready for a cnc, and how to make 2d drawings without putting 600 measurements all over the image? Every time I try to do a 2d object, the whole thing is a mess.

Jan 8, 2014Somehow I activated a mode where when I click on an object, if there are several objects there, it will bring up a little menu to pick which one I want, similar to Inventor if you hover or say "Select other...". How do I toggle this mode? Turns out I like it sometimes but usually I don't need it.
