Revit :: 2013 Is Not Displaying User Interface In A Correct Manner
Dec 30, 2012
I am terribly worried because since I upgraded to Windows 8, Revit 2013 is no displaying the User interface in a correct manner. Many icons/commands are hidden and for example I want to edit a floor, click on it and the Edit boundary doesnt show up unless minimize the panel buttons but it doesnt show up in the expanded panel. Then, once you do it, the red cross and green check mark dont display either. You have to again look on the minimized panel buttons.
Then you finally find where the Edit bounday icon is, click on it, and the option for choosing the boundary lines dont show up and have to expand the panel button. It's been months since Windows 8 is out and Autodesk didn't update Revit to work properly under this new OS?Weird thing is that Revit 2011 seems to not have issues running on Windows 8.
I updraged to Lightroom 5 and noticed that the interface is a lot bigger than Lightroom 4. I have an Acer Aspire S7 which has one of those HiDPI displays. Is there any way to get the interface the size it was in Lightroom 4.
I can't get access to the tools at the bottom shown in this screen shot.It is actually at the bottom of the row below the Links option that is cut off. So I can't attach the chin to the head!
My preferred method of utilizing commands such as move, copy group etc. is to select the entities to be moved, copied or grouped then select the appropriate tool and proceed. Recently my computer has decided it wants me to select the appropriate tool prior to selecting the entities to be manipulated. I can not figure out how to get this program to return to the method I am most accustomed to??
Photoshop is THE ONLY application that's missing the sweet slider to darken/brighten the user interface. I just discovered that even Illustrator CS4 has this ability, Premiere does, After FX does, so, what's the point? Why can't I darken Photoshop a bit? I think it's a bit more crucial to darken the UI in Photoshop than it is in Illustrator, as you're more likely to perform very sensitive color corrections in Photoshop and anything bright stands in your way,
I was working on a Picture, when I realized that something is missing. Now I figured out whats wrong.I am missing the "Done" button while croping a photo and the compare button ( Y | X ). I don't know how to describe it better but I hope you can see what my problem is. I have no clue how to get the bar back to my user interface
How to switch from the Ribbon interface to the Classic interface in inventor 2012? It is not in the same place as in inventor 2011. This ribbon interface just don't do it for me.
I created my own workspace from Map Classic Workspace and created my Toolbars (like in 2011).My new Workspace is default and current yet every time I open Map 3d 2012 I still get Express ribbon.
I already closed every ribbon in Customize User Interface and saved again but then I get this message: The Ribbon does not have any tabs or panels currently loaded. When I choose My workspace even if it is already default, ribbon disappears.
PS11 and the EXACT same problems in PS9. This image shows the black on black problem of many drop-down menus. It doesn't affect all drop-down menus but it affects ALL font-related drop-down menus, and, for example, the adjustsments panel (but others also). Some drop-downs are fine (white on black, as it should be). Some aren't.
Backstory:
A catastrophic UI flaw if ever there was one. I use "catastrophic" because that's an error message I got from Acrobat 9 PX after I had a run in with the FlexSPY monitor Adobe uses on its software, when it didn't let me use Acrobat until I reformatted. The Acrobat 9 dialog said it can't proceed because it had a catastrophic error, and then the number 142:20.
I have customized a standard user profile Sam in my win 764 XDP7 interface. (added buttons, etc)
Is it possible to export/save that interface and pull it into the program and use the interface when I "Run As Administrator"? Or do I need to just spend time rebuilding?
As a User, when I work with a web site file, I have to republish locally all pages every time I open the file. It does not remember where I stored my preview. I am hoping that by running as administrator that will no longer be necessary. (My website file built in XWD6 moved to XDP6 and moved to XDP7 ends in .xar not .web)
I've just reformatted my PC and reinstalled Xara Pro 6. I used to have it set for the light background as it's easier for my eyes. I can't remember how I did this, how to change the program background colour from dark to light?
m using max 2011 on xp 64 bit platform from last 7 month ...but yesterday,i gave for rendering n its got hung, after restarting the max its get stuck at just before user interface loading.. n it wont show in task manager applications window but it appears in processes window n uses 15% memory.

I have no issues when using autocad for simple 2d drafting, layers and commands seem straightforward enough, but I am having real difficulty with the 3d interface when set up with 4 viewports, similar to Rhino (top, front, right and perspective)
Question #1: can I link the viewports so that moving around in 1 moves the other simultaneously to the same zoom and location?
Question #2: can I set up the MButtonPAN (or similar for orbit) command to orbit ONLY when in a perspective viewport? (in rhino, the right mouse button always orbits in a perspective viewport, and pressing shift with right mouse button can pan, ideally this is what I need or some variant of it). It seems very cumbersome to have to use the orbit button every time I want to adjust my perspective view!
Basically I want to make my workflow as similar to Rhino as possible, as it has become deeply engrained, and so far the crossover is not going well.
When I opening any of the drawing using File Dialogue in my c# application, user interface is getting minimized. How can I set User Interface to top level in any of the drawing ?
I am wanting to change the current greys to the blue backgrounds that used to be the default. I emailed Gary and he said to ask this forum, so here I am asking this forum. He said that it was a keyboard command to change it to an older version. So I am asking what are the keyboard command(s) to change the gray look to the blue look of old.
I installed 2014 on a Mac Tower (fairly new) and a Macbook Pro (very new) and this same thing has happened to both. After Clean installs and the usual trashing of prefs. I looked at the mel code for the error message I have been getting..
How can the user interface text size be adjusted in photoshop elements 12? I have found plenty of people also asking how to make this adjustment but I have found no way to fix it.
Is there the option to change the UI font in PSE 11 - i can not find an option, despite this UI problem being around for at least PSE 10 and PSE 9......
I was wondering whether there is any way to choose the color of the user interface. By this I mean the toolbar, layers panel, etc. NOT the background, I've already figured out how to do that. Right now the toolbar/layers panel is this light grey color, and I'd like to change it so that the entire screen is a dark grey color, just as it is in CS6.
I'm trying to adjust the colour of my grid using the "Xustomize User Interface" dialog.
in Elements - Grids, I can only adjust the minor gridlines using "Set by intensity", or the major gridlines (0,0) using "set by color". There doesn't seem to be a way to adjust both elements independantly unless I'm missing something.
I find the default interface in CS6 difficult to read as the menu/tool labels seem very small to me. I can manipulate via Windows, but then the fonts in the windows of all my other apps are too big.
Is there a way to change the size of the fonts in labels in the user interface within Illustrator itself? I thought there used to be a way in preferences some where, but that was a long time ago - maybe even pre-CS?
How to insert a Linefeed or Newline into text in the WEB-Gallery UserInterface defined in 'galleryInfo.lrweb'.
Example:
Code:
<pre> tooltip = LOC "$$$/AgWPG/Templates/HTML/Panel/WarningIcons/RequiresLarge=Changes to Image Pages settings aren't currently visible. Click in the image grid to change to an image page.", </pre>
Result should be:
Changes to Image Pages settings aren't currently visible.
Click in the image grid to change to an image page.
I made the switch from acad 2006 to 2014. I was able to add quick leader to my dimension menu in customize user interface, but I don't have an icon in my dimensions toolbar. I figured it out, I needed to customize toolbars also, not just menus.
I am running Lightroom 4.1 on two Macs, both running 10.7.4. On one of the machines the Alt/Option key does not work properly in the Develop module.
When I hold down the Alt/Option key and move the Exposure or Blacks slider I expect to see the clipping display. Instead this action moves the whole of the sidebar of the user interface. I can move it to any place on the screen and off the edge of the screen. Clearly this should not be possible.
The problem machine has a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet attached, so I have tried updating the Wacom drivers, and also removing the Wacom software completely. Neither solves the problem. My other Mac does not exhibit this problem.
I have defined 3 user-defined contours for various elevations in my pond. I would like to disply them differently from one another, so I set their display styles in the analysis window where I created them. Unfortunately, the are only displayed per the settings in the surface style which is 1 - not what I want and 2 - all identitical. I have tried various settings in the surface style, but the contours will not display the way I have selected in the analysis window.
I am displaying stationing for my points, the points were brought in with a user defined classification. Then a table was created with the classification.
Base file- table looks good / when I xref the table it loses the station formatting.
I even tried importing all my user defined tables and styles and still didnt work
How can I draw a straight line without that protractor shaped dotted line following my cursor making it lag and also not snap correctly to the next line? Also, I have noticed that I can't set my user interface to auto cad classic settings. There seems to be no option for it in workspace settings.
