AutoCAD 2010 :: Why Does No Node Appear On Left Justified Text
Aug 31, 2012Why does no node appear on Left justified text, yet it appears on right and center justified text?

View 8 RepliesI am trying to determine whether or not the following is a bug:
1. Begin creating a new block using the block editor.
2. Add an object (circle) for reference.
3. Add an attribute with the following properties: Constant, Visible, Value (i.e. "34"), Justify: "Middle-Center." Make the tag
4. Save the block, exit block editor.
5. Insert the block into model space.
At least on my system, the constant attribute always shows up left justified. If I explode the block after inserting it, the constant attribute shows correctly. In addition, the constant attribute seems to be left justified with the TAG label from the block definition itself.
I'm using the Multileader Align tool for my labels and it works great as long as my labels are left justified. I noticed this issue has been brought up before but didn't know a way to make it work for right justified text.
My problem is this: right justified text will not justify properly. It will not justify the same way that left justified text does. If you can follow this, leaders that have text that are left-justified will align according to their leader lines and everything looks neat and correct. The leaders that are right justified do not align properly because they align to the left side of the text. See the following screen shots and you'll understand...
Incorrectly justified leaders.

I have a couple of different files that I'm working on that I want a particular text box left-justified. I will get it left-justified and save the file, but the next time the file is opened the text is centered.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am creating a block that has a single letter included with it. I will need to rotate this block depending on the position within my plan, but I want to keep the label upright and able to be read left to right. I can't seem to find a way to set this preference, does it exist? Or is there a round-about way of doing it? Don't tell me I have to make separate blocks, each oriented a different way to the text stays upright..
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn the dragged state, I don't want to use 'As Composed' because the label is composed to be parallel to the line, but I want it to flip to horizontal to the view when dragged. This is working fine with 'Stacked Text'
What is not working is the text justification. I want it to remain centre justified, as it is composed. But there doesn't seem to be any option for this when you use the 'Stacked Text' option for the dragged state. I thought that setting the 'Leader Justification' to false might do it, but that just makes it always left justified. Am I missing something here? Is there no 'Top right/bottom right/middle center/top left.....' option for Stacked Text? And if not, why not?

In ModelSpace, when I drag the crosshairs over to the right edge of the screen, the crosshairs will vanish and reappear on the left side of the screen. This is a major problem: If I am reaching for an object off to the right and overshoot with the mouse a little, the crosshairs will suddenly be way over on the left. But much worse than this, I have a toolbar oriented vertically on the right side of the screen. I literally cannot get to that toolbar because the crosshairs swap over to the left side of the screen, instead of changing over to an arrow cursor to make use of the menus.

Wonder if can Can Image stretch from left or right or top or bottom side instead of diagonal ?
Reason is picture or tiff not correct length to the object of build.
I did scale to right length on "X" but the "Y" is off so how ?
I know that in Photoshop have stretch all side whatever I want but not in autocad 2011
The text on the right is middle-align, prefect, the text on the left is also middle-aligned but is offset. How can i fix the left text to match the right?

Okay, I'm new to associative arrays, I'm attaching a drawing so you can see what I'm trying to accomplish with this. I'm doing an elevation view of a slab that has a cross section of the rebar. I've shown one of the bars spanning from left to right, represented by a rectangle, and the cross section of the bars running front to back represented by circles. You can see what I'm trying to show here. In the drawing I've attached, the top three sketches are examples of how this would look if it were working correctly.
What I'm trying to do is create an array (of circles) that will stretch to the length of the bar spanning left to right. I want the quantity of items in the array to automatically change based on the length of the bar and the spacing of items, so if there is 6" of spacing between the items instead of 12" it will automatically add twice the amount of items to fill in that space. I've been trying to use a path array, and it isn't working the way I want. I'm not familiar with rectangular arrays, so not sure what to do there either.
I would like to create a block that has an attribute that will always read left to right no matter which method used to rotate the block itself. I know this can be done attaching a rotate parameter to the block and not the attribute, but i want it to also work when using the rotate command.

I am using AutoCAD 2011 and I have been always used the Left click double click to edit text and now its not working. Is there a setting I'm not aware of that I can change.
I have switched computers from my laptop to my workstation. My laptop has an Nvidia card FX2500M, and my workstation has an ATI Fire V5600.
I work with the ribbon minimised to tabs. On my laptop, when I click a tab the ribbon opens directly below the tab (i.e. justified to the left of the screen); but on my workstation, the ribbon opens below the tab but justified to the right of the screen. This means I have to move the cursor back and forth across the screen.
Is there a Reg setting to change the justified back to the left of the screen?
When the ribbon minimise is on other settings (e.g. minimise to panel tiles) the ribbon is justified to the left side of the screen.

I am typing in Farsi which is a right-to-left language. What I see in the monitor is correct. Words appear from right-to-left. But when I print, Entire sentence appears from left-to-right.
This happens even if I print to PDF file. So it is not a problem with printer.
In a text node, I really need to activate a virtual keyboard to put accents in words??
I am Brazilian and my language has several words with accents (á, à, é, ê, ç ....) every time I need to type something into smoke I will really going to have to keep typing a few letters, go for a virtual keyboard, select a special character, disable the virtual keyboard to type back ....
What I am attempting to do is: add text, some dims., and some info. to a viewport i have added to a drawing for my field guys. I am a sheet metal worker and have produced a drawing of duct work. one viewport is a plan view, one is a swiso, and another is a left-elevation view. everything is good except the left-elevation view which I would like to add details to. I am assuming I need to change the ucs so that i can place lines, dims and text and get them to show up without them snapping to 0 z.

So I need to turn paragraph to read from Right to Left. Where this function is hidden?. I've checked on web but can't seem to get this function in X6.
On a windows 7 machine I am having issues with Photoshop CS6 13.0.1 x64 Extended writing in the wrong direction, its goinf RTL instead of LTR. And the Text direction button that is suppsed to be in the Paragraphs palette is missing. I deleted preferences twice and that didnt change anything. I switched back and forth between Midles Eastern and East Asian, and that did nothing as well.
I look at my laptop MBP (MAC OS X 10.6), which has PS CS6 Extended 13.0.5 x64, and I dont have the problem with it being locked in RTL, however, my laptop doesnt have the text direction button either, and doing the previous methods did not give me that option. Is there something special I have to download in order to get it or something?
Just so you know I hav read this thread, and tried all of the Methods and NONE of them worked for EITHER Operating System. Also here is a Video for Windows 7 and a video for MAC OS X and the do opposite methods switching to either to East Asian or Middle East(both videos do the oppposite).
