View 1 RepliesWhile i am using Join Command, I Could not able to select all polylines and also could not able to make those are join together (which those are touching at one point).
How to do the above funtion?
Just can´t find out how to join these 4 polylines:

I've been looking to download a lisp that can trim (TR) and the (PE, join) polylines. two at a time or multiple... I've tried writing the lisp routine but I cannot do it correctly.. Any good lisp routine? Also, if there's one to trim & fillet w/a radius.. Hopefully there's two different routines but if there's one then even better...

View 3 Replies View RelatedI drew a cube using polylines by changing ucs. I want to join the polylines so that the cube contour becomes one single object.
Since the lines are in different planes I can not join them. How could I unite those 12 lines so they become a cube non solid(I plan on placing a sphere inside some of the cubes and then use "shade" for visualization so if the cube is solid I won't see the spheres).
As the above mentioned, I have a drawing drawn using polylines with width from someone. The width of the line are suppose to represent area,
To put things into prospective, here is an example:
The polyline is 10 unit long and with a width of 2 unit wide. If i explode that polyline, it will become a single polyline without width. The line are suppose to represent 10 unit long and 2 unit wide; representing an area.
My question is is there a way to change the line above directly from polyline with width to a close polyline (4 x polylines) of 10 unit long and 2 unit wide.
I'm using AutoCAD 2011. Lately I'm having lots of trouble getting LWPOLYLINES to join, end-to-end. They were all created with the same UCS on elevation zero. Some are arcs, and some are straight segments. I've used PEDIT, MPEDIT, JOIN. Nothing works. They are definitely end-to-end.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWith Add SHP connection, I added The SHP and created a JOIN with an ODBC connection access database table on a Common Column.
Is it possible that I can save it in that format itself so that I can use it later, i.e. the SHP file will have the additional columns after the JOIN.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi have already made the pattern in 3d, but its made up of a whole bunch of different objects, what i need to do is to join them all together to make a seamless one piece. i read through the tutorials, the explain that i have to select all the objects that need joining, then click the "join" button under the modify tab. I did this but still see the seams.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have drawings at the moment where I need to convert some lines to polylines. I know you can use PEDIT and PEDITACCEPT=1 but i want to match properties at the same time.
Just wondering if there is a comand or lisp routine that duplicates the MATCHPROPERTIES command but converts lines to plolylines at the same time, this way all i would need to do is type in the appropriate command and select my source polyline and get multiple duplicate polylines by clicking the lines I wish to change?
Is there any way to have 3d polylines show a linetype? I need to have my contours that are created as a 3d polyline show up as a hidden linetype. These polylines came from an aerial mapping and have lots of vertices.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just switched over from 2005 to 2012. In 2005 I used Express Tools to change several lines of text to one mtext object. I can't find it in 2012. I didn't realize how much I used it until I lost it.

arc was defined with line's end points and radius, so I'm positive that this drawing is continuous.

Whenever I select a block or polyline in 2012, the program hangs for about 1 minute. This never happens when using 2010 on the same system. Obviously this can't continue.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn 2007, I was able to select multiple polylines before typeing in PEDIT. When I was done with the command, I could then type in PEDIT and L for last and it would select the multiple polylines I had first selected. We just got 2012, and when I do L now it just selects one line. Can I change this?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have several days of experience with Autocad 2010... The problem: I have many (a lot) polylines in my 2D drawing that are adjacent to each other, but not joined. What is a good way of joining them, so that those that "touch" each other become one? Maybe I can hatch the area, then delete polylines and then reconstruct the boundary?

The command to JOIN two overlapping anchor points as a SMOOTH join is not working (at least, on Mac).
"The join option only results in a corner join regardless of whether you select anchor points to join or the entire path. However, for overlapping anchor points, if you want the option to select a smooth or corner join, then use Ctrl+Shift+Alt+J (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+Option+J (Mac OS)."
Is there a way of converting 3d polylines to polylines with an elevation?
I have a dwg of contour information, the contours are 3d polylines, because they are contours the z value is constant all along the line, so there no question what the elevation of the polyline would need to be.
I need to do this as I then need to import the dwg into a GIS programme called MapInfo whch doesn't read 3d polylines.
I have access to AutoCAD 2004 or 2005LT.
