May 18, 2012I have a contour set created using polylines and I want to convert this to points. Can I do this in AutoCad 3D Map?

AutoCAD 2010 :: How To Convert Annotation Into Points
May 19, 2012i have an elevation point layer that i'm using in a project and i needed to import it to arcgis for some interpolation.
Problem is, all altimetric points are "B"s instead of being points, and arcgis doesn't recognize them as points. Is there a way of quickly converting them all of them into points?
Take into consideration that we're talking about hundreds, maybe thousands of said "B"s.

Jan 2, 2014As the above mentioned, I have a drawing drawn using polylines with width from someone. The width of the line are suppose to represent area,
To put things into prospective, here is an example:
The polyline is 10 unit long and with a width of 2 unit wide. If i explode that polyline, it will become a single polyline without width. The line are suppose to represent 10 unit long and 2 unit wide; representing an area.
My question is is there a way to change the line above directly from polyline with width to a close polyline (4 x polylines) of 10 unit long and 2 unit wide.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Drawing Polylines From Points Not Working?
Jul 1, 2013I have points in a 2012 C3D drawing and I am looking to draw 3d polylines from point to point. Ultimately I am wanting to generate breaklines for a surface from a topo. I was able to do this a few months ago and now no matter what I try nothing seems to work. When use the 3P command the Z Vertex is 0. All of the points in the drawing have elevations. I tried drawing a feature line however, the beginning elevation is saying 0. Its as if these lines do not recognize my points as having elevations.

Oct 9, 2013I have the need to put COGO points along the vertices of multiple 3D polylines in a DWG. I know how to do this individually for each 3DPL via the "Points>Create - Miscellaneous > Polyline Vertices - Automatic" or "CREATEPTPLYLNCTRVERTAUTO" command. Need tip on how to do this in a batch format for all the selected 3D PLines in the drawing without having to select each individual 3DPL and having to hit return to enter a description for each individual vertex? I can do without having to add a description and can leave each description blank or enter the same description for each.
I'm Using C3D2013.

I was thinking of using the COM interface and sending the PEDIT command and converting the arcs.
The only problem is I don't know of a way to put the objectids into a selection set, then call the pedit command and use the previous selection.

Sep 20, 2012On my file I have some polylines that are the streets. So, they look like rectangles and curves, etc. I am working also on a 3D Model, and what I have to do next is to extrude them. The problem is that those polylines are not polygons, and so, they are not solids when I extrude them. I tried to use the command BO but it says that the lines are not closed, and I checked with OSNAP and they are! Is there any way to convert those polylines into polygons?

Since the lines are in different planes I can not join them. How could I unite those 12 lines so they become a cube non solid(I plan on placing a sphere inside some of the cubes and then use "shade" for visualization so if the cube is solid I won't see the spheres).

Brilliant idea to draw raceways quickly: instead of making handmade double lines, connect, enter the hatches all by hand, you could quickly draw the polyline with width identical to the size of the duct, and then the lisp transform it into a duct more aesthetically pleasing if compared to the full polyline!

Jan 3, 2013I have drawings at the moment where I need to convert some lines to polylines. I know you can use PEDIT and PEDITACCEPT=1 but i want to match properties at the same time.
Just wondering if there is a comand or lisp routine that duplicates the MATCHPROPERTIES command but converts lines to plolylines at the same time, this way all i would need to do is type in the appropriate command and select my source polyline and get multiple duplicate polylines by clicking the lines I wish to change?
