AutoCAD 2010 :: PDF Exports And Plot Stamps

Jun 6, 2012

I'm trying to export all my layouts in a drawings to PDF. I'm using EXPORTPDF from the Output tab.

If I'm exporting the current layout, or if I'm creating a multi-sheet PDF, the plot stamp shows up. I get the 'Save as PDF' dialog box where I can tick "Include plot stamp".

However, if I export all layouts as single-sheet, this dialog doesn't appear and the plot stamp is not on the PDF produced.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Lines Printing On Prints And PDF Exports Of 3D Models

Nov 14, 2013

So I've drawn a 3d model in Autocad 2011 and when I come to print it in either layout or model view I get lines that appear. These lines do not show up in the print preview no do they look like they relate to the model itself, so I can't understand where they are coming from. I have the grid lines turned off and have exhausted everything else I can think of.

See the attached pdf for what I'm talking about.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Plot Thin Lines And Dots When Plot Transparency Option Is On

I have a problem to plot thin lines and dots when Plot Transparency option is On in the Plot dialog box.

The lineweight is a half of the original. I think i have tried everything.

It shows correctly in the Plot Preview but when printed there are no dotted hatches and lines are much thinner.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Why Does Normal Plot Style Plot In Color

Oct 9, 2013

AutoCAD - Why does the Normal plot style plot in color? Black seems to make a lot more sense. Almost everyone in Architecture uses black prints most frequently so that should be the default. And you can't adjust Normal to all black. So what was AutoDesk's reasoning?

AutoCAD Print / Plot :: Change Plot Setup To Multiple Sheets For Use With Batch Plot

May 21, 2013

I have one drawing per file at model tab. When I need to plot a multiple page file, I use:

Print > Batch Plot.

The problem is that I have to set plot configurations ( plot style table, plot area, paper size, etc) in each file before use Batch Plot.

Now I received 722 files with a wrong Plot Style Table. For this time I change the associated *.ctb file at Plot Style folder, but I will need to associate the right *.ctb to each drawing. It's also common to have to change other properties.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Possible To Plot Using A Few Different CTB Files

Jul 9, 2013

Is it possible to plot using a few different .ctb files?  For example can I assign one .ctb file to the landscape xref drawing and another .ctb file to the architectural xref drawing and a third .ctb file to the civil xref drawings? It has been very time consuming to coordinate all the separate drawings to use one .ctb file.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Cannot Plot In Color

Sep 7, 2012

I can not plot in color!  Using Civil3d 2012 64 bit.  Plotting to a HP DesignJet 5500 which I think is set to use the new driver for 64 bit.  I have tried everything I know.  Been doing this many years and I have never ran into this one.  Used CTB ACAD, None and tweaked a few of my own.  The funny thing is if I have an image that will plot in color and the other funny thing is I can send the same plot to a HP Color LaserJet 5550 PS (standard office size) and the dwg plots just fine in color so I'm thinking it has something to do with the 64 bit side of things.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Trying To Plot In Monochrome

Dec 1, 2010

I just moved from ACAD 2008 to 2010. I for the life of me cannot figure out how to plot my drawings to a monochrome (black and white) drawing/PDF. Every plot comes out as by layer colored plots.

I have tried using Page Setup Manager and created a (or what I thought was a) monochrome .stb file. However, even with the mono.stb file selected the plots still plot in color. Is it possible to configure a .stb file to plot in only black?

AutoCad :: Batch Plot To PDF With 2010?

I tried a PDF convertor, and it was very clear, but it put a large, "Free Trail" logo in the center, ha.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Linetype Changes On Plot

Feb 4, 2013

I have an file where the linetype of a line will modify on print. The linetype will only 'move' when the endpoint of the line is outside the viewport.

I have attached a pdf to show what is happening along with the drawing file.

Another interesting thing is that when I change thickness of the linetype, it also moves.

I have tried recreating the polyline, reversing the polyline direction, auditing the drawing, but nothing.

AutoCAD 2010 :: How To Plot Different Scales With Different CTB Onto One Roll

Dec 12, 2013

I have several drawings and which have different scales (1:50, 1:20 and 1:10) all in one dwg file. I made different .ctb files for each of them to make easier to interchange drawings between two different scales. But now I'm plotting each of them onto seperated rolls. I wonder if there is a way to plot all of them onto just one roll?

AutoCAD 2010 :: Plot Isometric Monochrome

Jan 31, 2013

my DWG is set to monochrome.ctb. Everything prints ok except my 2 isometric 3D viewports which prints in its real color (visual styles are conceptual). Why don't they print also in monochrome? I saw a couple of discussions on that problem but the "hidden" and "hidden 3D" options in shade option isn't working...I want them to stay the same, just print in monochrome with screening! I read about some option called "hidden legacy" but can't find that anywhere.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Plot Process Hanging

Jan 30, 2012

Last week we started having an issue with one of the AutoCAD 2010 installs, When she would go to plot (to any plotter or PDF) the plot process would just hang up and continue to show (in the lower right corner) that it was working, sometimes it would actually print the page but it wouldn't format it right, This morning a second install started doing it too. I chacked and ran though the proceedure for ACAD.VLX virus and it still is doing this. After autocad sits there for a minute showing the plot process the addons reload. I have tried plotting with no addons loaded and I am still getting the same problem.

Machine software config:
Windows 7 64 bit
Autocad 2010 32bit loaded
Microvellum 6.7 addon

In 2010 when I use batch plot to pdf (say for 5 drawings), it produces one single pdf file with 5 sheets. I want an individual pdf file for each drawing (5 pdfs).

I don't want to have to open each drawing and plot. That's what batch plot is for!

AutoCAD 2010 :: Plot Transparency And PDFs

Jun 8, 2011

I am having a problem getting PDFs to plot when I have plot transparency on.

I use the dwg to pdf plot function and with plot transparency on... my hatches work perfectly but my PDFs appears very much screened.  (As a 50% or more screen would look) If I turn off the plot transparency, the pdf works perfectly but of course my hatch shades obliterate any line work beneath them.

I was able to convert the PDF to a .tiff, with a graphics program... increase the resolution to 600dpi and use imageattach to bring that in.  But it is an extra step for each insert and increased dpi = increased file size.

Other than increasing the resolution on the PDF, any way around this "screening" issue on PDFs when plotting with transparency on?

Mudbox :: How To Adjust Mid Value Of Custom Stamps

Nov 24, 2013

I've been using Mudbox mostly for texturing, but now I need to use it at work for sculpting.

1) How do I set the mid value of custom stamps. I want the stamp to effect on the surface in the negative and positive, so my neutral areas are 50% grey, black is sculpting down, and white is sculpting up. In Zbrush I would just set the mid value to 50, but in Mudbox it seems I can ony sculpt one at a time, either up, or the inverse down. Is there a way for me to do it like in zbrush?

2) I want to affect certain areas of my mesh without affecting others, like lips or eyelids. I know I can mask off or freeze certain areas so I can adjust, but it's just one more step I don't have time for. Zbrush has a topology setting for the brushes so that you can grab or move the upper lip without affecting the lower lip, and etc...  Is there a setting in Mudbox to do something similar or do I have to resort to masking and freezing?
