After Effects :: Some 3rd Party Effects Crash After Period Of Time?
Feb 16, 2014Specifically the Boris Continuum plugins. I get this error:
Seems to happen for really no reason, even if I apply the effect and let the comp sit idle, it hapens after a minute or so.

Oct 8, 2013When I tray yo open a After Effects file in a Mac Pro 2013 with Mac OS X 10.8.5 the program shows the AE Suicide after indicate a font problem.
In other Mac Pro with Mac OS X 10.6.8 and the same version of After Effects CS5.0 there are not problems.
I need to work with Mac OS X 10.8.5 .
After Effects :: CC Crash When RAM Preview
Apr 15, 2014I have project im working for 2 weeks. It was all good till yesterday. Today I opened and tried to Ram preview it, but either it crash and close or if I click the space bar to watch in the midle of ram preview it opens a warning window, with nothing inside (see attach) and I can not close it or do anything else.
Im running a Windows 8 in a IntelCore i7 4770 3.4GHz 3.4GHz, RAM installed 16GB - Video - NVIDIA GFORCE GTX 660
I just can not work this way, I need to finish this program and I can not find a good explanation for this crashes.

Oct 12, 2012After Effects CS6 is crashing when I change to Ray-traced 3D.I am building my first test 3D text. I have gotten to the end and changed to ray-traced and it keeps crashing. I set the quality to 48.
I have:

Quad core
16 GB Ram
ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics card
Did i set the quality too high (48) ?Is my card insufficient ?Does my card have GNU ?Do I have any on board memory with this card ?

Jan 24, 2013When I open a JPEG file from my mark iii into CS6, I try to start a new layer and then add the lighting effects filter. CS6 crashes (the little effects comes up on the screen and the little blue circle goes round and round). Nothing happens, but if I check task manager it says photoshop is not running.
I have windows, 16GB ram, and am using a small percent of my memory.
How do I see if I need to update my video card and how do I do that?

Aug 4, 2013I didn't have any problems with transition effect, but suddenly,some effects, like flip album and the ProDad plugin are causing VS to hang and not respond: flip album is causing the hang just after the automatic preview (can't turn this off) and just clicking on the ProDad plugin is freezing VS. They are also causing the rendering process to hang (turned off smart rendering as well).I've reinstalled the software wituhout SP2 and still the problem persists.No matter what kind of media I insert before or after the transitions, the problem is the same.I assume there is some kind of incompatibilty between VS and some OS/driver update - any way to know for sure?

When Droste is chosen : immediately the CS5.5 shuts down with an error message,happened in both PS and AE. The error message is "bad access" and "kern invalid address"

Jul 18, 2013Not sure if it's just the Puppet tool alone as I have used it many times on various layers and sizes within a comp with no problems. Have a character, used the pins on both legs, arms, and various strands of hair - no problem. It's when I try and place a puppet pin on the body of the character, AE crashes and gives me that error message. Used the puppet tool on larger projects before - have more than enough power and memory. It's a PS file, so why would it crash every time I want to place a pin on the body portion only? I've even scrapped the composition, started with the body portion instead of legs, etc and still, it crashes.

Mar 11, 2014I'm seeing Premiere Pro CC (7.2.1) constantly crash with a few projects when I try to export. The common thread (as I can see) are that they were all started in earlier versions of Premiere.
I'll finish editing, then hit Ctrl-M (or Export -> Media), and Premiere sits idle for a moment, then it crashes. Importing the project sequence in AME allows for encode though.
Checking the event viewer in Windows turns up that the ntdll.dll might have something to do with it.

Jul 8, 2013I have registered my product. When I log in, I see it in the list.I have no "Support code".I have spent 20 minutes trying to figure out how to send them the dump that the program says I should send them so they can find their problem.
In general, I'm very happy with CVS. I've used X5 and just bought X6. So I'm not a whiner.Get it together for support.When you put so many roadblocks in the way of sending you a bug report, you reduce the quality of your product.If you are going to have such a difficult support policy, then the program should have sent the dump automatically to you.

Jul 15, 2009I see it nowhere in the render queue or even Adobe Media Encoder. I'm on a mac but I need to make .AVIs for use in a PPT on a PC for our salesforce who are on PCs.
If one can't do this from AE or AME, i could use a lead for a 3rd party app that can make them. I may have read that Microsoft provides a free .AVI maker. Not sure if that's true.

Aug 13, 2013I have this audio layer that I want to add as a soundtrack to the intro video I made. The audio is a bit longer than the intro so I added 2 keyframes at the end of the audio to act as a fade out (I decreased the audio levels from +0.00 dB to -19.00 dB). The problem is when I export the project, I don't hear this faiding out. Is like AE doesn't "reads" the 2 audio keyframes. (When I hit play inside the project, with RAM preview, I can hear the fading out, but not when exporting). I have to mention I export the project as .FLV, as .AVI exports much bigger files. I attached a screenshot so you can see the keyframes I'm talking about.

I'm aware that using hashes [#####] allows you to add the amount of zeroes you want in the filename for numbering the frames, but is there any way to export without any zeroes?
(eg. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 rather than 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10)

Mar 4, 2013This may have a simple solution (and probably does), but I can't find it. What I'm trying to do is to import an AI 5.1 file into AE 5.5 as original vectors. I need to be able to scale up to about 12,000 percent and then back down to 100 percent for the effect of an extreme closeup being zoomed out of. The point of vectors, of course, is that you can do this without losing resolution... but no matter what I try, AI files keep being imported as raster files. When they're scaled up enough, the pixilation starts.

After Effects :: Audio Slightly Longer Than Video On Export?
Jul 24, 2013We just did a :30 commercial spot and delivered it to several outlets for regional broadcast. Most of them accepted our compressed output just fine (an H.264 QT, 1080 @ 29.97, PCM audio) but one outlet kept rejecting the file for being TOO LONG. We measured the file in several programs on the Mac (AE, FCP, QT 7, QT X) and it always came up as exactly 30 seconds every time. Even AE pegged it at 899 frames, so we definitely weren't over.
AUDIO was running long, not the video. He sent us a screenshot from Vegas Pro (I guess their system is all PC-based) and it showed the video stream at :30.00 and the audio stream at 00:30:29 -- nearly a full second longer than the video! How could this happen? I always thought the length of each stream was identical, so why woudl the audio come out slightly longer?
One clue: the actual AIFF file used in the output comp is itself 00:31 long. I shortened it in the composition to fit within the time, and every setting for 'Duration' that I know of was set for 00:30, but it's like it just ignored the duration on output of the audio and exported the entire length of the track into the audio stream.
Here's my workflow -- I did use other programs to make the file so maybe something else is the culprit:
Finish in AECS6, render out to ProRes 4444 Master @ 23.98; re-import the file and drop into 29.97 comp to correct the frame rate for broadcast, render out to another 4444 Master file @ 29.97; dropped that into Apple Compressor to make H.264 file with PCM audio.

I can apply the Vanishing Point filter to a jpeg still and set/apply the planes but the Export For After Effects (.vpe) command in the drop-down menu within the VP window is greyed out. I understood this filter is a feature of the Extended version. why this is disabled?
