I put some AEC Wall on my scene and then put windows in it. Converted window to Editable Poly to assign material to glass and frame, and when I'm changing glass material properties (diffuse or something) the windows just disappears it looks like it was covered by the wall, I can see only the outer frame of the window because it is deeper then wall.

When I import an object with a SSS shader into my scene, it will randomly turn black and have no shader at all. If I go to hypershade and to reassign the sss shader, it has no effect. How can I import an object with SSS?

When i delete all the face (axis -x)The shading geometry in the Interior of dinosaurus mouth suddenly Dissapears. (and leaving only the Wireframe !)Whereas in the other parts , the shading was work perfectly.I Tried to Redo, but it still happens.
When using Windows 7 (32 bit) and Coreldraw X5, when I zoom up the page, with grid on, and start moving TIFFs around, the grid disappears in that local area. The only option is to refresh the page. So just recently upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit, but no change.

I have d/l'ed 3dsmax for 30 trial and trying to learn on the fly, which is difficult. before i spend too much time trying to to achieve a crinkled wall mass? in my first attempt i was able to create a rectangle, add modifer of garment maker and apply cloth attributes (and ripple) to it but it's too smooth around the edges although it had amplitude to it.

So Basically, I want to be able to first sculpt the general exterior form I have sketched out or in my mind, and not only that, I would like to model the interior portions so I can have renders from inside the building. (Like the ons from the examples)
Although in architecture, 3D modeling comes into play after the 2d drafting, I don't think it's the same case for organic shapes. I would have a general layout sketched out on paper how the building would be formed, but not necessarily accurately measured. Then I would model the building to cut the sections through, and extract them out along with floor plans thus creating a very accurate orthographic drawings as well as gorgeous renders.or just poly edit with soft selection and other modifiers?
The best that work out was giving it a path constrain to a sphere changing to a rectangle and making some snapshot which it does not give me the specific control I need.

How to create a quick sponge (or pores) look to an object without using materials?
Background: I am creating masonry and mortar. I need to zoom real close to the mortar so I can see the pores. Then I am going to have a blueish object pass thru the mortar to show water penetrating the mortar. Or something like that. I can't use a material to represent the look because I need to have an object pass thru it.
Every thing was just fine but at particular moment I noticed that viewports are not updating when I'm working. Sometime there is note ''inactive'' so to see changes I need to click on viewport to see them. I just can't work

Right now I'm working on a preliminary horse model to test a number of theories I have about the best way I can model our carousel figures to show potential clients.
I am currently trying to place a saddle on the back of a horse and have the saddle sit snugly on the surface of the animal without passing through. Ideal, I would like for this to be something that could be animated as our goals are to build rigs in the models to show the different positions we can carve our carousel figures in.
I am right now trying the cloth modifier in order to drop a saddle-shaped place onto the back of the horse and then once that is against the surface, extrude the saddle from the plane. However this tends to cause wrinkling and would be great for the saddle blankets which will have lots of folds, including decorative folds in them (I already bookmark a great tutorial for pulling and arranging fabric).
Is there a way to tell the plane (or even the bottom faces of my sculpted saddle) to snap to the surface of the horse's back? Perhaps the surface or attachment constraints? I've tried both of those and so far have not had any luck. I'd like to avoid lining each individual vertex up if possible and I'd like to keep the objects detached for future swapping of various saddle designs.
What would the best way, in your experience, to do saddles on animals? If you have seen a carousel animal before, you are aware that they have decorative trappings covering their backs and heads. My eventual goal is to have one model of each animal we can do and to be able to swap out an assortment of trappings to show future clients what the company can do. Right now, everything is based on pictures of what we have done and drawings by the wood carvers.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis just started happening after I downloaded DWG TruViewer. I am working on LT 2008 using Fusionware on a MacPro. I needed the viewer to convert newer drawings from an architect. Now, when I double click on a drawing in Explorer a separate AutoCad window opens for each drawing I need open. I prefer to just go up to Window>and click on the one I need at that time, especially if I have several to switch between because it is easier to see the file name I want.

Relaunched the program
I can't open files using File>Open because the program crashed each time and Autodesk is not issuing anymore fixes for 2008. (Yes, we should upgrade but there is no money budgeted)
Right-click on any .dwg file and go to Properties>General>Change> and select the AutoCad LT launcher as the preferred program
Since I am in Window 7 instead of XP the File Types tab has been removed from Folder Options so I can't fix it that way.
So, why did this change? FYI that stupid TruViewer made lots of unnecessay changes to my AutoCad and Explorer programs that I am still trying to sort out like changing the file icon and hiding the file extensions. Are they trying to make it hard to find files or what?
And next, how can I reset the default so that double clicking on a .dwg in Explorer opens in already open AutoCad window?
We can preview the DWF files in Windows Explorer with Windows XP but cannot seem to be able to with Windows 7 64.

I have tried everything that i can think of. I use a mac and when i try to load photoshop everything appears to be working normally. I see the box come up and the tools loading and then nothing! Gone! I did a search and deleted any adobe items including the program and tried reinstalling and it still happens. I have tried installing DIFFERENT versions of PS and it still happens. What should I do? Reinstall my operating system? I'm using 10.4.8 and have plenty of memory left as well ...
View 3 Replies View RelatedViewport lag is not connected with graphics card driver. 3ds max 2012 has well known issue - Viewport lag- 1-2 seconds every time using middle mouse orbit/pan.
When You use alt+z or pan tool there is no lag.I have tried disabling wacom hid devices, disabling tablet pc features, changing group policy management, disabling display drivers... and much more. nothing is working.how to map orbit to the middle mouse button by some other command.
i have dual quadcore xeon, not the 6-core one.Also for sure it is not 3ds max issue. windows is a pice of garbage thet inteferes with max. something wrong is going with the middle mouse button.

View 12 Replies View RelatedUp until recently I have been continuing to use VS9 for creating DVDs but I use X2 for editing and rendering video files. I have now created templates in X2 but the video files that are displayed at the bottom of the 1st DVD menu has now twice disappeared relating to 2 DVDs (so 4 times).
The VSP files are 2.0MB and 2.5MB so the data seems to be there but are empty when calling up the DVD menu. My video files are in an external file but that has never been a problem with VS9 and I can't see that being the problem.
All works fine on the day I create them and I can sut down and reopen VS without trouble. When I log on another day all the data is gone. I have wasted many hours and am at the end of my tether.
New to Corel Draw X5. I recently switched from X4 (on Win XP) to X5 on Win 7. I have over 1000 files I created with a CutPath outline. I open the file - assign the new Cut Path outline I created in X5 (didn't know how to import it from X4) and after a few minutes the cutline turns white and I have to keep re-doing it.
Also, quite often the palette I created disappears and I have to keep opening it up when I open new documents.
I am editing videos (that need to be completed urgently) in Corel Pro X4 and have serious troubles. VSP file looks absolutely fine during Project preview. Yet when MP4 file is produced (iphone/ipad HD format as suggested originally by support for the web) – then the sound disappears after a few minutes.I tried to play this MP4 of a few different computers and it looks the same. I am in deep sh…t with all my 20 videos.

When editing the timeline, select and play an individual clip, the audio works fine, on every clip. However, when I play the project, the audio is missing on some clips. If I render the project, the audio is missing on those clips.
When I switch to sound mixer view, some clips show the sound wave, others give the message "loading wave data", which never loads.
I imagine if it was a codec problem, those clips would not play the audio at all.
While working in AutoCAD, Sometimes everything just disappears.
I'll be working. I move a block, or draw a line, copy something, etc.. And after I execute the command, and finish. What I just moved,copied, drawn, etc, doesn't show up. I do a _regen, and EVERYTHING in the drawing disappears. If I zoon extents, everything is gone. I can undo commands, but nothing shows back up. If I save the drawing, and reopen the file. Everything shows back up. Is there a setting I need to click or something? It's getting really annoying. It happened 6 times in the hour.
My company recently upgraded to 2013 (from 2010), and we've had nothing but problems. It's one thing after the other with this version.
I have created a custom ribbon in vb.net. And it works now.
However. To make it work i had to do a workaround because IExtensionApplication.Initialize is apparently run before the Ribbon is created in AutoCAD. To make it work i created a time that runs until the ribbon is created.
But i think this is implementation is flawed since i had to do the workaround, but also because the ribbon disappearse when the ribbon is updated. Say when the user changes something in the CUI menu.

When panning/zooming in mid-command, say while drawing a polyline and I need to pan from one side to the other to complete the line, my navigation bar disappears. Very annoying. If I change layouts, then come back, the navigation bar reappears. When I click the User Interface, under the View ribbon, the navigation bar is checked. Unchecking and rechecking causes the navigation bar to reappear. Running Autocad LT 2011.
