3ds Max :: Viewport Lag - Disappears With Alt+z

Viewport lag is not connected with graphics card driver. 3ds max 2012 has well known issue - Viewport lag- 1-2 seconds every time using middle mouse orbit/pan.
When You use alt+z or pan tool there is no lag.I have tried disabling wacom hid devices, disabling tablet pc features, changing group policy management, disabling display drivers... and much more. nothing is working.how to map orbit to the middle mouse button by some other command.
i have dual quadcore xeon, not the 6-core one.Also for sure it is not 3ds max issue. windows is a pice of garbage thet inteferes with max. something wrong is going with the middle mouse button.

The viewport canvas is a great tool, I have had it working in previous versions of max but in 2013 I just can't get it to work.
The object it's self has been unwrapped and collapsed to poly no different to what I've done in the past. I bring up the viewport canvas dialog box and everything is normal until I select the paint brush tool and the object disappears, it's still in the scene but I just can't see it, it seems as though the viewport clipping has become very narrow, closing the dialog box the object returns. I've tried large and small objects, nitrous and direct x, and nothing seems to work.

why the text and leaders placed over viewports (in paperspace) keeps disappearing? The text is still there...just not visible. i can select the text with no problem. and if i move it off of the viewport then i can see it just fine. this is happening with all the viewports in my drawings... on all tabs. If i close the drawing and reopen then all the text appears again.....but when i switch tabs then come back...the text vanishes again.

Problem: When I create a new viewport, another viewport's paperspace blanks out or disappears. When I copy a viewport over, the new VP doesn't show anything and you can't maximize/"enter" its paperspace; it's like a simple rectangle, but the properties box says it is indeed a viewport.
Ex. Viewport 1 shows the top view of an object, Viewport 2 shows the right side view... as soon as I add Viewport 3, the top view in VP 1 blacks out. I attempt to ReDraw, Regenerate, etc, but it doesn't re-appear. I've run Plot Preview to see if maybe it's just a fluke with the graphics card on my screen, but alas, even in plot preview the viewport is blanked out.
It almost seems like there is a limited number of viewports I can use.
Solution: Run the MaxActVP command and set the value to a number greater than the number of VPs you actually need. This particular file had that value set at 2; hence, why a new, third VP blanked out the first one.

I have a drawing with a viewport that fits to the page. And I created another smaller viewport over top that just shows the legend. Now when I try to double click inside the smaller viewport it always goes into the larger one. I have tried bringing the smaller one to the front but that didn't work. I know that I can clip the larger viewport around the smaller one or bring the legend right into paperspace or slid the smaller one off to the side work in it and slide it back. This is more out of curiosity of how to get into the smaller viewport.

I am wanting to insert a second viewport over an existing viewport and have the information in the existing viewport behind the second viewport and not seen. I want the second viewport boundary to be the "trimming" edge of the existing viewport. How do I do this?

I did a test drawing with 4 viewports in paperspace.I frozen a layer in each viewport (as a viewport override, not global), and wrote code to gather info on layer overrides in viewports.The function takes in a database, and is generally used on drawings only open in memory:

the odd thing is it never finds the frozen viewports on the first viewport. It catches the others fine.I cannot see anything odd either, the counts of viewports and layers are all correct, and the drawing has no problems.Is there something that must be done to initialize the mechanism that reads viewport overrides?

I have tried everything that i can think of. I use a mac and when i try to load photoshop everything appears to be working normally. I see the box come up and the tools loading and then nothing! Gone! I did a search and deleted any adobe items including the program and tried reinstalling and it still happens. I have tried installing DIFFERENT versions of PS and it still happens. What should I do? Reinstall my operating system? I'm using 10.4.8 and have plenty of memory left as well ...

after selecting a plant in AEC Foliage Library, I tried to place it into the szene. The geometrie pops up for one second and disappears again. Only the selected pivot is visible and the object is listed in the object-list, but it is not shown in the view-port nor in rendering.

Up until recently I have been continuing to use VS9 for creating DVDs but I use X2 for editing and rendering video files. I have now created templates in X2 but the video files that are displayed at the bottom of the 1st DVD menu has now twice disappeared relating to 2 DVDs (so 4 times).
The VSP files are 2.0MB and 2.5MB so the data seems to be there but are empty when calling up the DVD menu. My video files are in an external file but that has never been a problem with VS9 and I can't see that being the problem.
All works fine on the day I create them and I can sut down and reopen VS without trouble. When I log on another day all the data is gone. I have wasted many hours and am at the end of my tether.

New to Corel Draw X5. I recently switched from X4 (on Win XP) to X5 on Win 7. I have over 1000 files I created with a CutPath outline. I open the file - assign the new Cut Path outline I created in X5 (didn't know how to import it from X4) and after a few minutes the cutline turns white and I have to keep re-doing it.
Also, quite often the palette I created disappears and I have to keep opening it up when I open new documents.

I am editing videos (that need to be completed urgently) in Corel Pro X4 and have serious troubles. VSP file looks absolutely fine during Project preview. Yet when MP4 file is produced (iphone/ipad HD format as suggested originally by support for the web) – then the sound disappears after a few minutes.I tried to play this MP4 of a few different computers and it looks the same. I am in deep sh…t with all my 20 videos.

I am using VSP X4 on Dell laptop running Windows 7.
When editing the timeline, select and play an individual clip, the audio works fine, on every clip. However, when I play the project, the audio is missing on some clips. If I render the project, the audio is missing on those clips.
When I switch to sound mixer view, some clips show the sound wave, others give the message "loading wave data", which never loads.
I imagine if it was a codec problem, those clips would not play the audio at all.

While working in AutoCAD, Sometimes everything just disappears.
I'll be working. I move a block, or draw a line, copy something, etc.. And after I execute the command, and finish. What I just moved,copied, drawn, etc, doesn't show up. I do a _regen, and EVERYTHING in the drawing disappears. If I zoon extents, everything is gone. I can undo commands, but nothing shows back up. If I save the drawing, and reopen the file. Everything shows back up. Is there a setting I need to click or something? It's getting really annoying. It happened 6 times in the hour.
My company recently upgraded to 2013 (from 2010), and we've had nothing but problems. It's one thing after the other with this version.

I have created a custom ribbon in vb.net. And it works now.
However. To make it work i had to do a workaround because IExtensionApplication.Initialize is apparently run before the Ribbon is created in AutoCAD. To make it work i created a time that runs until the ribbon is created.
But i think this is implementation is flawed since i had to do the workaround, but also because the ribbon disappearse when the ribbon is updated. Say when the user changes something in the CUI menu.

When panning/zooming in mid-command, say while drawing a polyline and I need to pan from one side to the other to complete the line, my navigation bar disappears. Very annoying. If I change layouts, then come back, the navigation bar reappears. When I click the User Interface, under the View ribbon, the navigation bar is checked. Unchecking and rechecking causes the navigation bar to reappear. Running Autocad LT 2011.

Definitely one of the most bizarre things in my 5 years in PS.
I have image with some text. I forgot to do underline, so go back and underline some text. which I need as link indicator for web page link.
I save for web, jpeg looks great, but when copy that jpeg anywhere, to website folder, or evern desktop, the underlined word is no longer underlined.

I use the rectangle tool to draw two rectangles where I use blending options to set opacity to 0 (no fill). But when I draw the second rectangle the first one disappears. How do I see both rectangles at the same time?

I just upgraded to AutoCAD LT 2012. I am having a problem with background jpg's disappearing when you pan. It comes back once you stop but it really, really annoying. I have to trace drawings off of jpg's and I have to do a lot of panning. It didn't use to do this in AutoCAD 2010. Ohh I am doing this in Model space. Is there a new setting or something that I don't know about.

When I use various sliders to adjust values of modifiers, I will sometimes push the mouse up or down until the cursor wraps around the screen, sometimes multiple times, depending on how much the values are being adjusted.
After adjusting the value, when the cursor has gone off the view of the monitor, it will not return for a minute or longer.

I put some AEC Wall on my scene and then put windows in it. Converted window to Editable Poly to assign material to glass and frame, and when I'm changing glass material properties (diffuse or something) the windows just disappears it looks like it was covered by the wall, I can see only the outer frame of the window because it is deeper then wall.

Having issue with linked DWG which disappears arbitrarily? It is still linked and the visibility of Imported categories is set to ON, but DWG is not visible in a view. When we were linking it we set Current view only (so we can not see this DWG in other view than in the particular one).The solution is to remove DWG and link it again..What may cause it is that we copied the DWG into all levels because it contains floorplans of all levels. In every level we moved the DWG into correct position and it is working for a while. We did not find a moment when it disappears .

It would appear that my licensed copy of Lightroom 5, which I downloaded online, has disappeared with the install of CC. In my dock I have a question mark on the Lightroom icon. And installing from CC asks for a license number. Is there a way to retrieve my license?

When I turn a layer into a 3D layer it disappears. If i turn draft 3D on it will reappear, or if I preComp it will reappear. continuous rasterize is not on so its not that. Active camera is set in preview window, so its not front view thing.

I've recently installed CS6 on a new Win 7 64 bit machine.
I'm beginning to install various plugins (Topaz, Nik, etc.).
I think this is the correct procedure, but let me know if it's wrong: I open Photoshop, go to Edit, Preferences, Plugins, then check the "additional plug-ins folder" and choose browse. I navigate to the main folder for the product I'm looking for. For example, Topaz... I'm using 3 plug-ins: Detail, Remask, Adjust. I highlight the folder, click OK, close PS, then reopen it. I open an image, then go to Filter, and find that all three plug-ins are there. I open each one, make sure that they are activated with my activation key, then close each application.
I then went back to Edit, Preferences, Plugins and browsed for the next plugin folder. In this specific case, it was Portraiture, by Imagenomic. I highlight the folder, click OK, close PS, re-open, and when I look for this plugin under Filter, I see it. But, now, one of the Topaz plug-ins are gone. It always seems to be the Topaz Adjust. If I navigate back to it, re-do the plug-in from PS, then the Imagenomic plug-in disappears next time I open PS.
In each case, I just highlight the main folder (Topaz, or Imagenomic), not the Topaz Adjust folder (though I did try this, and it made no difference).
