I am using 3ds Max 2009, and am starting to get a grasp of UVW unwrapping, however, for some odd reason the transform gizmo is hidden in the Edit UVW window, and I can't figure out how to unhide it. I tried pressing X, I tried pressing a bunch of other keys to see if maybe I accidently pressed a hotkey.
View 1 RepliesThe transform gizmo is visible in the modeling vieworts and function normally, however if I go into the UV editor and select a sub-object, there is no gizmo. I can select sub-objects, and move them, but there is no gizmo to use to move stuff accurately.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI had the system setup on a dual monitor for a dog and pony in the conference room. I'm back at my desk and need to get my windows back to the monitor. My materials dialog, and my "warning isolated selection" windows are being displayed on a screen I don't have on now.
Is there a way to force all windows back to the current monitor?

I switched from CS3 to CS4 and realized that when I turn on the screen mode called "Full Screen with Menu Bar" it actually switches off the windows task bar. It is actually crucial to me, as I am really used to drag the document with a hand tool without boundaries, which was always achievable once pressing "F". In that mode, I could still use the taskbar to navigate to other windows (and see notifications from the taskbar). Now, in CS4, the combination of nice document dragging and taskbar is impossible.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI've just switched to a Mac from Windows, I'm using CS3 and in Photoshop on Windows there was an easy option in the Layers pallette where I could toggle through the blending options by using the down arrow key which also showed a live preview of the "blend".
I can't seem to activate this on the Mac version -
Just upgraded to Photoshop CS6 and am attempting (unsuccessfully) to edit some MGEG2 content. The video content has been extracted from Windows DVRMS files using DVRMStoMPEGGUI. I can work with H264 content in Photoshop without a problem.

All MGEP2 videos play fine with both Quicktime and Windows Media Player.Here is what happens when I try to edit the file in Photoshop

File is read by photoshop and all looks fine. First frame is shown as expected. If I try to play the video in photoshop, the elapsed time counters at the bottom give the impression that all is well, but the video does not play.Attempting to trim the video does update the overall timings of the video, but the first frame is still displayed.Rendering the video as H264 appears to work - the export dialog appears and a file does get created. The H264 file export is playable, but consists of the first frame displayed continually for the duration of the video..Â
editing MPEG-2 video content in Photoshop and another thread suggested checking that the video content is playable via Bridge. Like with Photoshop, Bridge displays the first frame of the MPEG2 in the thumbnail, but attempting to play it locks up Bridge completely. Doing a "Reset Settings" with Bridge made no difference.

I don't know what happened, but it's been a while since I used GIMP, but when I tried it today, it was missing.
I'm using ver. GIMP 2.6.12
1. I click on Maya to open. Icon bounces and loads.Â
2. Maya loading window appears.Â
3. Maya finishes loading and 1 minute startup movies appears.
4. Menu bar for Maya appears at top of screen.Â
5. Nothing else appears.

Using VS X2, There is only black screen when editing sample file or any other video. All load correctly and can be viewed as individual clips but only black screen when playing "project" . Have re-installed program (repair) - no change.

I don't see a "Startup Scripts" folder in CS5, only in CS6.I can still do batch operations directly from Photoshop CS6's automate window, however, I like the ability in Bridge to select specific files on which to run the action.
I use Windows 7 Home Premium, and I recently installed VideoStudio Pro X6. After making a video file, I found that the file details that are usually visible within Windows Explorer were not present. For example, when making a video using older versions of VideoStudio Pro, Windows Explorer would display the file size, video length, frame width and height, frame rate, data rate, etc., but now with Pro X6 none of these details can be found. When right-clicking on the file in Windows Explorer to check the properties tab, all the fields reserved for these details are blank.
Is there a setting within Pro X6 that I am overlooking that enables the saving of these details again?
I am unable to minimize or close Photo Paint by mouseclick in W7. The program bar (is that how it is called?) is missing, so it is impossible to toggle between draw and photo paint. Coreldraw does show the program bar. Changing monitor resolution did not work, neither did  reinstalling. On another computer of mine, with W XP there is no problem.

In LR4, some folders have a destination of C://users/eric and brenda/windows/pictures...which is great, but others have this destination C://Brandon(which is just the folder name).

I fixed it with the hierarchy panel. I clicked pivot in the panel, then affect object only, then center to pivot. this makes the the object stick to the gizmo, bringing it back to default setting (at least im 99% sure that was default.) I thought i had been on the right track.
I want to arrange views shown in fig for making isometric view. I want to know how to use rotate gizmo.

I have used Tech Support twice in past 4 months trying to get the Edit function to work. Have reinstalled program twice from an On-line download license. When attempting to open EDIT, the system either cycle for 30 seconds and then simply disappears, or a pop-up appears "PSE 10 has stopped working" and cycles for 30 seconds and then closes the program.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was entitled to a free upgrade to CS4 which I have installed but I now have many problems in trying to get CS4 to run properly.
1. Sometimes CS4 will open but the toolbar with FILE, EDIT is missing
2. Mostly when I open CS4 IF I click on 'FILE' everything is greyed out apart from Import, Automate and scripts and CS4 hangs.
3. If I click on FILE to try and open a file that too is greyed out until I click on 'Clear open recent'
4. If I open a image and want to get rid of any blemishes with the spot healing brush I can select the tool, click on a spot and a nice splodge is left on the image but the tool does not clear the blemish until I click on a completely different tool. eg. Text or anything.
5. Using Unsharp mask As I move the 'Radius' Nothing happens for ages.
So I have absolutely no idea why this these things are happening.

We have a multi-member frame generator assembly. Some of the frame members are demoted to make sub-assemblies. One of these sub-assemblies is giving us problems.  The FG options are missing. Ex. "Edit with Frame Generator" and "Delete with Frame Generator"....Â
Yesterday, we changed the size of the member using "Edit with Frame Generator" but decided against the change and just simply closed the file wihout saving. Upon opening the drawing back up, the change was present and the FG options were missing.Â
We have tried restoring previous versions. We have tried replacing the member with the original member file that we wanted using Component Replace. Nothing has restored the FG functionality.  (Other sub-assemblies and the overall assembly are unaffected and have the FG options). However, we cannot even just delete this subassembly and try again. Delete is not an option.Â
How to get rid of it or restore the link to the frame generator?

When I select the Guided Edit tab, there are no options available. The only tools are zoom, hand, and set foreground color. Everything else is gone. The open file is centered in the blank page, and most of the menu items are unavailable, with the exception of filters.

I have uninstalled and re-installed the program and rebooted. I have also deleted the two database files, as suggested in another post, and they were rebuilt.

I have read enough of the help file to know that there are supposed to be guided edit options available, such as actions, enhance colors, etc. The menu bar has very few options available from the guided edit window. In fact, the only way to get back to the full edit window is to shut down and restart the program.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy main gizmo (move, scale, rotate) is vanishing from the scene and I am unable to execute simple move/rotate/scale actions. The gizmo will reappear if I shift the viewing angle in the viewport. However this is getting frustrating because I might be viewing at the angle I need to execute a move/rotate/scale, but I can't and have to shift viewing angle to bring back the gizmo.
Also at present I am unable to view vertices when in sub-object mode (Edit Poly). I don't know if I accidentally triggered something or what, but the vertices suddenly disappeared and all I can see is the lines for the edged faces (not the vertices). Oddly enough, I am able to see the last vertice that I was interacting with, but cannot click or view any other vertices of the object.
