3ds Max :: Desktop Icon Disappeared / Can't Get Into Software

I downloaded the awesome 3ds Max for my film projects.It was good for a few days, it was good in the morning, but in the afternoon something happen. Desktop icon, disappeared. I cant get into the software. I tried going to program files and autodesk folders, got nothing.
I had safelifeapp virusing my comp so i may have tampered with something and it probably messed it up.I'm looking to find a way to get back into the program somehow.
My CS4 shortcut icon has disappeared from my desktop and I have a generic Windows 7 icon left instead. I have tried rebooting to re-create the proper shortcut icon but always get just the generic one. I am running Windows 7 RC1 and have no problems with CS4. Grateful for any ideas on how to get back the proper CS4 icon.
I downloaded the LR5.3 file: Lightroom_5_LS11_mac_5.3.dmg and then clicked on the file to open it. After installing, the Lightroom 5.3 icon appears on the top right of my Mac desktop, however, when i open Lightroom from Finder>Applications it still shows LR5.2C. So I clicked on the LR5.3 icon on the top right of my screen and it gives me the original box that I already clicked to install LR5.3.
I have had Photoshop on my desktop for a couple of years with no problem. But when I now click it, nothing happens but a 20 sec wait, then nothing. I have checked the program files and Photoshop is still there with 368 MB.
I've got LR 5.3, and PS CC. This is a new LR install. I'm trying to import from an SD card, and when I hit the LR desktop icon for the app, I get a small window asking me to "CHoose a Different Catalogue" or "Create a New Cataloague. The "Open" button is greyed-out. The large "Select a recent catalogue" window is empty. When I go the the SD card under my computer, all I can do is open it to a folder containing the images, and the only option is "Save", not "Open". But nothing happens when I hit the Save button.
Lightroom 3.6 icon disappear from desktop and startmenu. The operating system is Windows 7 Home. The icon disappeare after a couple of weeks. I need to repare the installation.
Photoshop CS6 icon disappeared from dock and launchpad after today's update. Also, when I launch the program, I can't use any tool or function! all dimmed.I'm using OS X Mountain Lion.
Have just bought boxed version VSx3 and unable to get to use!! every time that it says install finished i click corel VS icon on desktop and my pc reboots have tried 4 removals with the coral clean utility and registry edit removal of keys to no avail.
Clicking on the desktop icon provided by the install of Pspx4 has the splash image appear briefly then a 'not going to do it' message box followed by Win7 'there is a problem, progam is being closed' message box.Created my own shortcut from the Pspx4 exe and the same thing happened.Using the listing in the Start Menu 'All Programs' will start PspX4.
There is no problem exporting an image from Lightroom 4 to be opened in Pspx4. That happens without fault.I applied 'run as administrator' to the shortcut I created and now that will open the software as expected.
In Microsoft windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit when PDF is created in Coreldraw X6 64 bit PDF Icon dont shows Thumbnail on Desktop. I can see the thumbnails from other's PDF
Purchased from Adobe via internet. Akamai interface downloaded and then Photoshop Elements 11. Both icons on Mac desktop. Double clicking on PE 11 does not launch program. Is it fully downloaded? I get Read Me file in four languages as well as a PE 11 icon after double clicking the desktop icon.
I could not see the preview of the drawing in any document of inventor. The icons shows only a box and not the drawing in miniature. The same happens with all my Autocad drawings.
"Do More" Icon has disappeared in X6 from the Corel Guide splash screen, hopefully this is just a glitch from Corel and not an installation problem, not able to check X5 as I have just uninstalled it, but the Do More Icon is still there in X4.
I used to click on the A in the toolbox and look up on the menu to change between paragraph text and artistic text but I can't find that icon or any icons to choose paragraph text. It eludes in customizing the tookbox too?
How do I get that paragraph text tool to show up in menus, bars and the toolbox?
When I loaded some photo actions into my new PSE11 it show only a generic icon in the effects palette, not the icon from the maker so it takes extra time to search for the action I need. How can I get the icon from the maker to show as the icon in the palette?
I don't like Lightroom, and when I tried the trial of CS6, I could not find a way to get rid of the big box that obscures the desktop. Is there a way to default back to the "classic CS5" look? Also, I prefer the previous version of Camera RAW.
I recently purchased Photoshop Elements 6, for my Macintosh OS X. Though I've looked everywhere on the menu, I can't find a way to keep my desktop in the background. The only way I can get a view of my desktop is if I keep switching back and forth to the help section of PSE 6. Any enlightenment on how to keep my desktop visible all time, while using the PSE 6,
I have PS CS5 on my laptop and desktop. I have Mac os x 10.6.4 on both computers. I have a new Lexmark s605 printer set up wireless that I use for general stuff and an Epson 2400 for photos.
I can print from all applications to the Lexmark from my desktop except Photoshop CS5. It goes to the print queue and shows "Printing page 1 of 1" but just hangs, never prints. I can print from PS CS5 from my desktop to my Epson 2400. I can print from PS CS5 (wireless) from my laptop with no problem.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and PS CS5 on my desktop, same result. All the firmware, systems and applications are up to date. I am using 64 bit which prints from the laptop. I tried 32 bit just for the heck of it from the desktop and it did not make a difference. I've tried Lexmark support and Adobe support without much luck. Adobe says it is Lexmark, Lexmark says it is Adobe. Adobe says it does not support networked printers?
Very strange reactions from Photoshop CS6 when used on my Lenovo ThinkPad in an extended desktop situation. Any attempt to open an image in Photoshop is unsuccessful in showing the actual image, despite the layers box showing the thumbnail, the "open ifle" text box at the top indicating it is open, and the image details box also indicating correct data for the image file. If I close down extended desktop Photoshop works just fine. If I extend the desktop once Photoshop is running, I can move the open window to the extended desktop and it also works fine. Once I close Photoshop I am back to square one.
When I signed up for the Cloud, the desktop application manager for CC wasn't installed on my computer, so now, when I try to update or install something new (Photoshop CC for instance), I get a message to do it from my desktop. Since I don't have the Cloud application on my desktop, I can't do this!
