VideoStudio :: Do Icon Disappeared In X6 From Corel Guide Splash Screen
Mar 18, 2013
"Do More" Icon has disappeared in X6 from the Corel Guide splash screen, hopefully this is just a glitch from Corel and not an installation problem, not able to check X5 as I have just uninstalled it, but the Do More Icon is still there in X4.
Have just bought boxed version VSx3 and unable to get to use!! every time that it says install finished i click corel VS icon on desktop and my pc reboots have tried 4 removals with the coral clean utility and registry edit removal of keys to no avail.
I must have hit some type of command on my keyboard but now my anchor points and intersect guides have disappeared that would normally appear when I roll my mouse over the anchor point or the intersecting paths. I have hit Ctrl + H as well as went to the menu manually and my edges are showing. How do I turn back on this ability to see my anchor points and intersecting lines guide in Illustrator?
OK time to do something about deleting the annoying pop up that pops up about every fifth start up of x5. I'm now using my travel computer with x5 installed. I also use this computer for internet. I'm registered with Corel. So how do I stop this pop up from reoccurring?
How do I turn off the window that opens every time I open PSPX5 that says, "You must sign in to use the Corel Guide". Register? Register to the guide website?
I haven't seen the Corel Guide since I closed it the first time I opened the program nor do I want to.
Every time I drag an image into Photoshop CS 5 I get the splash screen shown below. I doesn't mater if I choose Yes, or No. I still get this screen. What can I do to prevent this annoying occurrence?
Photoshop CS freezes on splash screen. I have been using this since CS first came out without problems. Now it will not go beyond the screen and locks up with 100% CPU usage. Athlon Barton 2500 w/2G Corsair Ram, 2 - 160G Seagate 7200 HD's configured with Raid +1. All other programs work normally...just PSCS
Should add that I have uninstalled CS and reinstalled it. I have also removed each 1G stick of Ram and tried it...then swaped the other stick...
I am trying to make a 'splash' screen for a GUI. However, the picture I am using pops up with the corners being visible; I do not want that. I would like them to be transparent. I have tried 'Export Transparent Image'
about three weeks ago, maya 2014 started being stuck at the splash screen saying "Maya loading" and doing nothing. I also tried running it with admin permissions, repaired it, uninstalled and deleted AppdataLocal-and-RoamingAutodesk, then installed again. I also tried installing Maya 2013, to see if that starts up: it doesn't. EDIT: I also tried restarting that license program The only thing I can call a reason is: It randomly asked me to license and stuff, after i accidently opened it twice. Then I 'clicked through' (I did read it though) and killed the second process. After that it stopped working.
I am using Photoshop CS3 on a PowerPC Mac running OS X 10.4.11. Some days ago, I attempted to run photoshop by clicking the icon on the dock. The splash screen loads fine but immediately as the splash screen loads photoshop closes automatically. I have already tried the following:
1. Rename TWAIN file by adding the ~ in front of it
2. Deleting photoshop preferences by using Command+Shift+Option .
I have been using Paint Shop Pro for around fifteen years now and have always been very happy with each new version. I tended to upgrade every other version and have been using X2 for the last couple of years. With the recent announcement of Corel's service pack to fix some of the problems of X4, I decided to upgrade.
I uninstalled X2 and rebooted ready to install my shiny new copy of X4. All went well until I tried to start it up. The splash screen appears and starts to load up the components but every time it gets to "Initializing Palletes" it crashes and I get the "Paint Shop Pro has stopped working" and the options to close or go online and check for a solution!
I've tried uninstalling it, repairing the install, and also uninstalling it using the RevoUnInstaller as recommended by df but it didn't work. I also tried installing SP1 to see if it worked but didn't.
I can't even get this thing to start up at the moment. I need it for a few projects I'm working on and am beginning to wish I had left well alone!
I'm also dreading trying to re-install X2 as I can see that having problems if X4 has screwed up any deep-seated settings.
We've got Inventor running on about 12 Win7 x64 machines in a lab and recently one of them has started acting up. Inventor will not get past the splash screen. The Windows event log only says "app hang."
I've tried uninstalling Inventor and manually removing any trace of it I could find from the C: drive and the registry and reinstalling to no luck.
I'm running Revit 2013 on Parallels 8 (Windows 7 x64bit) on a Macbook Pro, it has been working fine for over a year untill today as it freezes on the startup splash screen and the 'SECSplashwnd' becomes non-responsive. Nothing significant has been changed as it was working fine 8 hours ago.
I have tried repairing the Revit installation, restarting windows and mac, uninstalling Microsoft Framework and reinstalling. Problem Details:
Description:A problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows.
Each time a student try to launch Revit 2010 he gets the splashscreen and then nothing. The application stops lauching ? When we have a look to the Revit log files we can see this error :
' 0:< Initial VM measure: 1934 MB available, 37 MB used 'C 15-Dec-2010 09:46:54.844; 0:< started recording journal file ' Build: 20090917_1515 Dim Jrn Set Jrn = CrsJournalScript ' 0:< DBG_WARN: API Context is inoperable. Revit will not run correctly.: line 427 of .MFCCRS.cpp. 'C 15-Dec-2010 09:46:54.906; 0:< ->InitInstance
So if we want to work with Revit we have to install RunAs and start Revit through RunAs with administrator rights.Students have a mandatory Active Directory profile and even if we give "power user" rights we get the same problem.
I have been using Revit 2013 for a few weeks now. When Revit opens the splash screen appears and the programme loads fine, I then open the file I want to work on. This is when the error message of an "unrecoverable error" occuring.
This used to happen now and then until today which does not open it all. I have seen solutions on other posts but it still doesn't seem to address the problem.
i just subscribed to CC as a student, and i cant get photoshop or illustrator to open. the splash screen loads and goes through, and you can see illustrator and photoshop both open, but close a few seconds later with no prompts or errors. i browsed around and saw something about verdana font, but i have it installed.
I went to startup LR5.2 (local) and it all of a sudden did not get past the splash screen. It hung with a "Not Responding" in the title bar. I went to a backup file and the program seemed to operate normally. I did another backup to make sure I saved a good catalog. Today the same thing happened. I again went back to the backup and that did not seem to work. I have tried a number of things including deleting all of the preview files and upgrading to version 5.3.
Up until the other day LR5.2 was operating without any problems. One more thing. I finally got it to work by deleteling all of the preview files and going back to my backup. It starts up and seems to be ok; however, when I close the program and try to re-start .. it again does not get beyond the splash screen.
I have subscribed to the CC version of PS + LR but I am only using PS - have not downloaded LR5 for CC.
I did increase the RAW space to 30 Gig and there is 119 Gig of space on the hard drive. I use an i5 processor and run the 64 bit version of LR.
I just loaded CS3 Photo Shop and Illustrator onto my new 15" Retna MacBook Pro running Mavericks. The programs begin to start up but get hung up at the splash screen.
There's nothing I can do except Force Quit the application. All of the top menu items are grayed out rendering the programs useless.
I've attached a screen shot of what it looks like when Photo Shop loads. How do I resolve this? I've let the applications just sit for over 20 minutes but nothing happens. They're just stuck.
i have two laptops that i've downloaded the CC to and one has Windows 7 the other Windows 8.
i installed the CC on my newer W8 laptop a couple months ago and noticed that the Splash screens are different for Ps & Ia than the ones on my older Win 7 laptop.
i've also noticed there are some new things in Ps on my newer computer like the ability to Sync Preferences, more Fonts and the Properties panel has some new cool features but no matter how many updates that come for Ps on my older Windows 7 computer it doesn't have the newer features.
must i uninstall Ps & Ia to get these cool new features on my older computer too? if so, wouldn't i would lose all my plugins, styles, custom shapes etc.
We have an engineer running Inventor 2012 (Premium Suite) on a Windows 7, 64-bit machine.
He's experiencing an issue where once he starts Inventor, it doesnt proceed past the splash screen.
If I then log onto his machine, Inventor loads fine without a problem.
If this engineer then logs onto another workstation, Inventor works fine for him on that machine.
I have tried deleting the .cas file, no joy; this is a stand-alone installation.
I also reported this to our re-seller since we have a support agreement with them - they recommended a system restore; we felt that this was a lame reply since they didnt even ask for any log files.
They also recommended a registry 'hack' - the solution in the link below was recommended.

We tried this, the problem still persists.
We also created a new profile for this user, still no success.
I get a feeling that a full re-installation might be the only way forward bar a system restore.
According to our subscription support engineer, there are chances that this issue might not be resolved even with a full re-installation.
I was wondering if there is a way to change the image for the splash screen? I've attached a screen shot. I'd like to edit the screen to show a company logo.
