Just installed 2013. After the program ran through the start up, it is displaying the menus, but I cannot see anything where the grid windows are supposed to be. I can add objects, etc, but I cannot see what I'm adding. This is Windows 7, 32 bit with Max 32 bit installed.

Unable to start application (0xc000007b).
I already tried several fixes like:
1. reinstall all redist(x64 & x86).
2. reinstall .Net 4.0
3. Use CCleaner for Registry error.
4. chckdsk for error and fix.still error so I've gone through this.
5. I uninstall Autocad 2014 completely, uninstall it manually one by one,deleted left over folder of autodesk or similar software to it, deleted its registry keys.just like the instruction on how to remove autocad completely in autodesk, I just followed it all. [after Reboot]
6 I Re-install it and still the problem persist.
Splash screen shows components loading, until it gets to LAYERS ("Preparing working environment.... LAYERS") and it just hangs.
I've tried doing a repair; uninstalling and re-installing. Nothing works.
The program was working fine for months and it just started doing this. No new hardware or software has been installed. Even did a system restore to a time when I know it was working, in case there was some Windows or driver update.
They have one file xrefed into another but the text is not showing up. It is a block and the text is an attribute - but it is exploded.
I have attached 2 images - the first one - of the original file the second - where it is xrefed into another file with the text missing.
I am having trouble with getting the quick properties box to display. I have turned the feature on at the bottom taskbar, and tried Ctrl+Shift+P, and changed settings so that it displays to the top-right of the cursor, but I get nothing when I select any object. It used to work on 2012 but not now.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am currently in urgent need to open an autocad file (.dwg) that has Chinese characters in it, but no matter I tried to download many different .shx fonts I still couldn't get it displayed.
I tried to talk with the maker of the file, but for some reason and addition with my poor Chinese language, I cannot get him understood what I need him to do (send me the .shx files). I am attaching the .dwg file.
I've searched this Discussion Groups area on the site and have found a couple solutions. I've tried them all but I can't seem to figure out how to get ALL of my labels to display when I plot or when I export to PDF. It seems that only the POLES layer labels are having trouble showing up...
I understand scaling and it doesn't seem to be the issue. I've tried plotting under different scales, and I still get the same thing.I've attached an image showing the outcome.
On the left is the PRINT PREVIEW in AutoCAD.
On the right is the EXPORTED PDF.
I've checked in the administrator under POLE LABELS, and changed a couple things around but I can't seem to get the pole labels to show up.
When programming in Autolisp, I like to view the values set to my variables so you type an exclamation point followed by the variable name on the command line to have it display the value. My command line will not display the value. I have to hit the F2 key to bring up the text window to view it. how to get the command line to view this information? We have other computers that show it, but mine will not.

In the attached I want to chop out the yellow solid and leave the other solids "as is" to reveal the various strata when the yellow solid is removed. View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm finding a problem with solid fill, drawn in model space its fine, but viewed through a viewport and all I see is the outline of it in wireframe.
I'm not having this problem on other drawings, it's limited to this file, but a colleague has also had as well it so not my workstation. This narrows it down to this specific drawing being the problem.
As regards variables, FILL = 1, FILLMODE=1.
It is just solid objects with the problem, polylines with a width display OK as does fill text.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am editing a drawing i have inherited from the previous drafter who is no longer working here. this drawing references 2 other drawings. one is the title block, the other is the engineering drawing. both of these drawings have white objects in them, namely, some text and some solid hatching.
Instead ot those white objects appearing as white in this drawing, they are appearing as a grey colour. i have double and triple checked that these objects are coloured by layer and the layer is white in both of the xrefs. they appear white in the xrefs but not in the final drawing.
since we are using colour dependent line weights in our printing, i would like to get this colour problem sorted.
i have a drawing file which is corrupted with unknown reason , windows explorer is displaying file preview but anyway autocad is crashing when i try to open this file .recover and open file in another version solutions are not working..how can ı open my corrupted file?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIf Inventor is on the screen when the pc locks (win+L) Inventor will not display properly after unocking the pc. Moving the mouse around will change what is highlighted in the feature tree and things like that, but I cannot at all see the actual object I am working on. Changing from one open component to another does not work. I have to restart each time this happens. I have updated both Inventor and my display drivers to a supported version.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm been unable to find what controls the display of the boundary of a section (volume type) object. A section object that does not show it's boundary, when copied to another file shows the boundary.
Same layer states, visual styles, and other setting between both files. There must be some setting I'm overlooking... but a search of the so-called help file was not very informative.
I have autocad running on my partitioned mac and I have just created a multileader style with Datum triangle filled as the arrowhead symbol. In the view panel the symbol looks correct, but when I select the multileader with this datum style and add it to my drawing it appears as an unfilled triangle!

I am terribly worried because since I upgraded to Windows 8, Revit 2013 is no displaying the User interface in a correct manner. Many icons/commands are hidden and for example I want to edit a floor, click on it and the Edit boundary doesnt show up unless minimize the panel buttons but it doesnt show up in the expanded panel. Then, once you do it, the red cross and green check mark dont display either. You have to again look on the minimized panel buttons.
Then you finally find where the Edit bounday icon is, click on it, and the option for choosing the boundary lines dont show up and have to expand the panel button.It's been months since Windows 8 is out and Autodesk didn't update Revit to work properly under this new OS?Weird thing is that Revit 2011 seems to not have issues running on Windows 8.
I'm facing an issue when I start up the AUTOCAD 2013 on Windows.
I clicked on Autocad icon, and a message is prompted saying "Unknown Property" with a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark inside it, and the software do not start up.
The highlights: Yesterday the software was working normaly when happened a black out. I started the computer again and keep working without any issue. Today when I would keep working on the project I couldn't start up the Autocad.
I may have no prior experience of autocad, but I'm pretty sure what it is doing isn't quite right. When clicking on the IPub icon, then 'New', an options window titled 'Insert...' opens. If I click on the 'New' button the same thing happens. If I click on 'Insert Model', I get the same dialogue window. I have started following a tutorial and I cannot get the 'New' > file types window that the video author gets.
I did a reinstall (not an uninstall > reinstall) and the problem persisists. It is the 2013 version on an education license.
scince I installed AutoCAD Map 3D 2014 my Laptop is starting very slow. I have a Thinkpad W530 with a 500GB SSD, so the start up should be really fast. But scince i have AutoCAD the laptop needs about 10 to 15 minutes bevore i can open any programm. (as the lenovo update center says i have the latest drivers)
My girlfriend who has a Dell Inspiron laptop (with a normal HDD) has the same problem scince she installed autoCAD.
I just installed AUTOCAD 2013 on my computer. Every morning when I start up, I have to reload by CUI file. My ribbons are rearranged, I have to arrange them back to how I had them. Why is this happening?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to start a custom line type so that is starts and ends with "O". Right now, the default "FENCELINE1" has circles in it, but it starts and ends with a line.
Here's their code for the line:

I already tried just putting the O's at the ends, and that didn't do it.
Below is a picture of what I'm looking to get. The top one is the FENCELINE1, the bottom one is just circles and lines, but that's how I want the linetype to look when they place it... so first click would have a circle, second click would have a circle, and the circles "in" the line would spread out evenly.
Just so you know... this is for guardrail inside a where house where it has the circle pillars on each end with circular pillars in the middle (every 8', but the spacing isn't crucial).
When attempting to start Revit Architecture 2013 I get the error message "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000007b). Click OK to close the application".
Revit Architecture 2013 has been installed on my computer since it's release in April and I have installed both updates. Until now it has worked fine and I have had no startup issues.
AutoCAD Architecture 2013 also will not start- same error message.
Oddly, Revit Architecture 2012 will start.
I have tried to uninstall Revit Arch 2013 using windows control panel, but it does not respond.
I have run Microsoft Security Essentials, Microsoft Malacious Software Removal Tool, Malwarebytes, and Super AntiSpyware. So far, the computer looks okay. The only thing questionable was the installation, and immediate uninstall of the iLivid download manager.
I can't start smoke neither 2013 nor 2012.
