I would like to take my many photos and videos and be able to batch edit a folder's worth at a time after they have been added to my timeline. I have several that have the same lighting problems and that would save me allot of time.

Probably a well worn topic but I've lost all my video filters in VS Pro X2? Just trying to crop some green screen shots that still show the garage wall.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I open VS and insert video, the "Edit" tab (in the topmost horizontal tab bar) is highlighted and I see the Overlays in the righthand panel: if I click on other tabs they highlight and show the appropriate options in the righthand panel.
However, when clicking on the "Attributes" tab (halfway down the righthand panel) the panel goes blank: if I click on the adjacent "Video" tab the panel remains blank.It seems that I have lost Video Filters.
The Video Filters option shows in the dropdown box, with an "All" to the left of it, but nothing shows.
Is there a way to batch process (basic auto tone) group of photos in Lightroom?

When I go to my Video Filters they are gone.
I have renamed my vfilter.rsf with no results, as well as the other fixes suggested in this furum for VS10. There does not seem to be a topic for this issue for X2.
I have recently bought the upgraded version of vsx2 (upgraded from vs10) and AGAIN i have experienced lost video filters.
The symptoms are slightly different, "video filters" are still listed in the drop down menu but when I click on them a tab pops up that read "all" when I click on that the library clears and only empty space is there, no filters. Is the fix the same as it was for VS10?
What are the steps to apply filters to all my video clips in Corel Videostudio? I am able to drop each each filter to each of the clip. But when I try - Select all clips - Drop a filter to the selections, it does not work as expected. Instead the filter gets applied only to one clip.
Is there any other way to achieve what I am doing - Automatically fix exposure and colour levels to all clips?
How to restore my video filters which suddenly disappear. There is no way I would have accidently deleted the features as the program does not allow me to do so. I downloaded the software but the problem still persists.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWorking on the trial x5 and have a random problem. Imported videos, 1280x720, randomly display a stutter in the audio track when playing in project mode. Play fine in clip mode. Play fine before import. Video plays fine. Also weirdly, if I stop and restart the video at the point of stutter, the stutter goes away. By random, I mean 4 out of 5 videos imported in the same format work fine and the place the stutter start seems random between clips that display the problem.
I am using the default settings of the download trial, though I have messed with the proxy, edit format, and other settings to no avail. I have installed the recent service pack.
System: Toshiba Laptop, Windows 7 Home Premium, dual core pentium 2.0 Hz, 3 gig installed memory.
Vidoes are captured with an android phone and properties are H,264, 24 bit, 1280 x720, MPG4, Interestingly the frame rate seems to vary between 19 and 26 fps., Audio is 44100Hz 16 bit stereo 96Kbps bitrate.
I've use x2 on a multimedia tower no problem but I've gone mobile. This problem makes the software almost unusable for me. Three or four out of five imports with same parameters (except the variable frame rate) work fine.
I have about 10,000 photos that were taken with cell phone camera. I have to sharpen and save. They are photos of pages of books. Is there a way to make batch file of every 100 or so of the photos and edit them?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI edit an mp4 video and produce a new mp4 video. If I produce the new mp4 while I open the project, the screen size is normal. (c_not_use_batch.jpg) If I produce the new file using batch convert, the screen size is reduced (c_use_batch.jpg) However, the setting for producing the files are the same (c_setting.jpg)
The files and settings are the same. The only difference is using batch convert or not.
This happens to Video Studio Pro X3 and X5.

What i am trying to do is three things 1, remove existing text in the video while keeping the effects. 2, Add my own text to where the original text is now. 3, ad my own clips to the video. The .avi file that I am attempting to edit is actually a video template and is designed to be edited. I can't seem to remove the text in the video. There are two files : ".aep" and ".prpro" Would these file have any thing to do with the editing of the video files?
View 5 Replies View RelatedUsing Videostudio Pro X5. Captured video using GoPro at 240fps. Video imports fine. I want to edit the video in slow motion. I'm using the "speed/time lapse" option - I set the speed at "25%".
However the outcome is that the video is choppy as if it's throwing away frames. At this setting I should be getting decent smooth frame rates but this is not the case. I'm looking to end up with at least 25-30 fps.
I am new to VSP X5. I want to edit a music video that I recorded live. The live recording of the music was fine but I need to cut and paste new video clips in certain part of the songs in the video timeline. I split the audio from the video.
I am having a hard time trying to sync the audio because every time I cut the video clip, the video keeps snapping back, making audio out of sync. Also, when adding transitions, video clips automatic shrink. I tried enable ripple, video still snap back. Is there a setting in the preference?
I have VideoStudio XS4 Pro and it freezes when I try to edit a MPG4 video. The source video is from the Flip video player. I have been able to edit these without any problems before. This time when I put the video in the edit window I can start to play it, but then the UI stops working. It beeps when I try to press any button.
I'm using Windows 7. (see my machine profile) I have applied latest updates.

At this point the software is unusable.
Using VS X2, There is only black screen when editing sample file or any other video. All load correctly and can be viewed as individual clips but only black screen when playing "project" . Have re-installed program (repair) - no change.

I’ve been using very happily been using x2 for a number of years to make a lot of movies from my standard definition camera, I’ve loved the programme, and it has generally been able to do everything I wanted, and made for an enjoyable editing process. However, the camera has finally given up and I’m now going down the HD route, and the old x2 version just keeps crashing with any new clips. So I have recently downloaded the trial version of x5 (5 days of trial left), with the intention of trying it out and then purchasing it.
Unfortunately however I have found it to be jerky and jumpy when editing clips together, particularly when using the overlay tracks, the more overlays the worse it gets. This happens when I want to watch the edit, and while the sound runs ok the video just freezes on a frame then jumps ahead a few seconds and freezes etc etc. Impossible to watch and edit to really.
I am using the smart proxy to get the files to a manageable size, and I can see the separate proxy files in explorer. Smart proxy enabled. I have all the acceleration on that can go on (the ”Enable Hardware Encoder Acceleration” is greyed out so I can’t tick it). When I share/render the movie it comes out just fine, so it’s only with the editing process that is jumpy. I have really enjoyed x2, and could get good results really quickly, and I enjoyed the editing interface and process with Corel VS, but am now thinking I might need to change to a different video editing programme.

As I edit and convert all my video footage into movies, will the latest VS programme retain the 3D conversion ability/facility, if so, what is the latest (or best) VS edition to purchase.
I am working with a project with Corel VideoStudio pro x2 that involves on-screen graphics on the videos. I use a transparent .png file that I put in the Overlay Track #1.

Whenever I edit the video or the image, I get distortion around Music Television area. Somehow it looks like the writing Music Television wants to move / increase in size. When I play the project in the preview window, it looks okay.
After saving to a DVD file like MPEG2 file 720/560 it looks like this:
I used the same project on my laptop which has a better graphic card, Corel VideoStudio pro x4 and I get the same results. The image is so pixelated and curvy. I used a different video editing software though, the image looks much smoother:
I am making a screen shot video for my website. I created 6 individual short videos that look great. When you play them individually, they look great. These are "how to use the website" short videos that do have typing on the screen. The typed words are perfectly clear as individual videos.
As soon as i merge the clips into 1 video, the typed words and the whole video gets fuzzy. I have re-shot new videos and I get the same result.
I have searched all over the internet for the last couple of weeks researching a solution. I've enlisted smart proxy and gone through just about every setting in "preferences" painstakingly slow and I still can't figure it out.
All of my information for my computer should be correct, but wasn't sure if i got the video card correct.
Was able to trim and save 11 clips in new video files over 2-3 sessions, but then program hung after initiating 12th save. No duplicate file names, ie file already exsists. Computer show 100% CPU usage implying program has gone into loop. Have to use Window task mgr to end VideoStudio. When restarted VS indicates it is completing save started in previous session but creates empty file. Removing all Ulead files and folders I can find from computer left after uninstall, and all references I can find from registry, then reinstalling VideoStudio does not fix problem. I did not remove the video files in my user directory. There are no project files. Assume something remains on computer preventing clean reinstall and removal of bug.

I inserted 650 photos to the timeline and I'm trying to make a time-lapse, stop motion video out of it. Can that be done in VS Ultimate 6? I would hate to think that I went through all that work for nothing.

However regardless of what I used, the wind was so bad that day the video footage was useless.I figured that would be the case the day I was shooting so I took out my Sony still camera and shot a series of still shots panned.I now need to take those still shots and make it appear as though it is video panning from the sign to the building. I then can lead that into a video that did come out good of the front of the building.In VSX4, ?I have done similar before by trimming the time and adding crossover, but it just does not look "good".
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am working with VS4 since another video program I have has crashed and for some reason they cannot fix it. I'm stuck, with a number of videos to complete, and looking for an alternate program.
1)I've imported a .gif graphic into the time line. The other program allowed me to extend the duration of the .gifs to virtually any length by clicking on it, and dragging the right or left side to the duration desired. I want the them (I am adding a number of stills to the videos) to run 3-5 seconds depending on where it will be placed in the production. When I click the .gif in the timeline, it shows a duration of .01 second. How do I extend that?
2) When previewing a video in the preview window, there is a date and time stamp appearing in black on the video. Am I correct in assuming that this is the "watermark" created by the trial version, and this will disappear when I buy the program?
I have VS X2 and I want to put some photos into a video I'm making.
I have video from a Panasonic PV-GS200 which gives a 24 bit, 720x480 AVI file. I have the Project Properties set to:
NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
Microsoft AVI files
24 bits, 720 x 480, 4:3, 29.97 fps
Lower Field First
DV Video Encoder -- type 1
And the Preferences for Image set to "Keep aspect ratio".
I have a small handbook from Ulead (from 2004 when I purchased video gear) which says that the pixel aspect ratio of DV is rectangular whereas the pixels in my photos are square. And this difference will cause photographs to become distorted as those square photo pixels are stretched to become rectangular pixels in the video.
My question is: do I need to crop my photograph correctly before I insert it into the timeline in VS X2, or is there an option/feature within VS which will handle this transformation for me?
Here is how the book says to crop photos:
for 720x480 NTSC-DV crop photos to 720x576
for 720x576 PAL-DV crop photos to 704x576
It further recommended using PNG file type for photos and to keep the image dimension (resolution) low, e.g. 720x576, in order to avoid artifacts in the video - only doubling the above crop dimensions if a pan & zoom filter are going to be employed. An image dimension of 720x576 seems really low to me but I am not used to working with video.
I''m trying mystical light and others, but can't figure it out. I don't see anything happening even though I'm pulling all sliders. Don't see a preview box either. What am I doing wrong?

Just recently got into time lapse photography and have been batch processing away to my hearts content. I have one scene that looks unbelievable with the "surrealistic" HDR toning preset. However, I record my action and set up the folders and set it to go, but it seems to want me to click "ok" after filtering each photo...there's 1685 of them, so not very keen on that.
