I thought this would be kind of standard for VS Ultimate 6. Can you turn a set of photos into a video? I inserted 650 photos to the timeline and I'm trying to make a time-lapse, stop motion video out of it. Can that be done in VS Ultimate 6? I would hate to think that I went through all that work for nothing.

However regardless of what I used, the wind was so bad that day the video footage was useless.I figured that would be the case the day I was shooting so I took out my Sony still camera and shot a series of still shots panned.I now need to take those still shots and make it appear as though it is video panning from the sign to the building. I then can lead that into a video that did come out good of the front of the building.In VSX4, ?I have done similar before by trimming the time and adding crossover, but it just does not look "good".
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am working with VS4 since another video program I have has crashed and for some reason they cannot fix it. I'm stuck, with a number of videos to complete, and looking for an alternate program.
1)I've imported a .gif graphic into the time line. The other program allowed me to extend the duration of the .gifs to virtually any length by clicking on it, and dragging the right or left side to the duration desired. I want the them (I am adding a number of stills to the videos) to run 3-5 seconds depending on where it will be placed in the production. When I click the .gif in the timeline, it shows a duration of .01 second. How do I extend that?
2) When previewing a video in the preview window, there is a date and time stamp appearing in black on the video. Am I correct in assuming that this is the "watermark" created by the trial version, and this will disappear when I buy the program?
I have VS X2 and I want to put some photos into a video I'm making.
I have video from a Panasonic PV-GS200 which gives a 24 bit, 720x480 AVI file. I have the Project Properties set to:
NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
Microsoft AVI files
24 bits, 720 x 480, 4:3, 29.97 fps
Lower Field First
DV Video Encoder -- type 1
And the Preferences for Image set to "Keep aspect ratio".
I have a small handbook from Ulead (from 2004 when I purchased video gear) which says that the pixel aspect ratio of DV is rectangular whereas the pixels in my photos are square. And this difference will cause photographs to become distorted as those square photo pixels are stretched to become rectangular pixels in the video.
My question is: do I need to crop my photograph correctly before I insert it into the timeline in VS X2, or is there an option/feature within VS which will handle this transformation for me?
Here is how the book says to crop photos:
for 720x480 NTSC-DV crop photos to 720x576
for 720x576 PAL-DV crop photos to 704x576
It further recommended using PNG file type for photos and to keep the image dimension (resolution) low, e.g. 720x576, in order to avoid artifacts in the video - only doubling the above crop dimensions if a pan & zoom filter are going to be employed. An image dimension of 720x576 seems really low to me but I am not used to working with video.
I would like to take my many photos and videos and be able to batch edit a folder's worth at a time after they have been added to my timeline. I have several that have the same lighting problems and that would save me allot of time.

PROBLEM:
I have a number of videos (HD 1080p) that I have recorded. Each video is on average 50 minutes in length - what I want to do it to be able to do is to slice this video into 10 x 5 minute videos (based on topics discussed in the video), (so essentially clip the video into these segments and edit each one) and then when producing the video file - actually create 10 separate video files (all with editing in place) instead of one single large file.
As far as I have been able to work out, I need to go through the whole file, clip relevant sections, edit them, and then save project. I then need to go trim the saved file 10 times, to extract each time the single 5 minute video I want to create. This is a fairly manual and time consuming process, hence my hope that I can create 10 files based on the clips I have made in the larger 50 minute file in one go.
as I have 30 videos to edit, so looking for ways to save time!
I have a LIVE show recorded and I want to add Video Filters in various places within a single 4 minute video. Do I need to cut up my video to segments to add filters too or can I apply them to different spots in a single video?

How do I turn off the array video? It is always on, and over everything else. I have to exit AutoCad to remove it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using pro X4 on windows 7. For my current project I am doing a slide show with added titles and audio. I decided to try pan & zoom. So on the menu bar I selected edit and then selected auto pan & zoom. This applied pan & zoom to all the photos (over 100). As I have previewed the results, I find the pan & zoom effects for many of the photos is not appropriate meaning faces are being cut off etc. I know I can go in and customize the settings for pan & zoom and even copy the attributes to all the photos. At this point what I really want to do is turn off pan & Zoom. I select auto pan & zoom from the edit menu with no impact. I select a photo and open the option window. The radio button for pan & zoom indicates that it is active. I can't deselect the radio button. how to turn off pan & zoom. I would like to do it to all the photos in one step like I turned it on.

PaintShop has a very nice page transition in the photobook section & I would love to have that, or something like it, available for VS. I've searched the forum for any info on a page turn transition that actually looks like a page turning.... any transition like this for VS?
I tried the slideshows in Paintshop but had difficulty with using various sized photos & the panning effects, etc. So I created my project again as a photobook & it was superb as far as that went....I'd like to time the animation of those pages (similar to MS PowerPoint transitions) & add music BUT I cannot seem to accomplish that there. Next I saved all pages as .jpg, imported those to VS & created a very nice movie with available transitions, music, titles, etc. This is acceptable, BUT I would love to have that particular "page turning" transition for VS.
I have a sequence of still jpgs I rendered out of Maya. There are 90 total. I want to throw them into the editor at 30fps and have them be in order. I have tried simply copying them all and dragging them all at once onto the timeline but that leave each image at 3-4 seconds per image and they are not in order.
I know there is other software I could use to do this but since I'll be editing the video in Video Studio I thought it would be nice to be able to do this inside of it. Is this possible with Video Studio?
How to turn off the "add automatic transition" function. I am using VSx4. I can go to Settings>Preferences> and hit the Edit tab, and I make SURE that the "automatically add transition effect" box is NOT checked, click OK but there is still a transition that gets added when two clips are placed next to each other. I turned on the function to check it out, and now I want to get rid of it, and can't find out how to get it to go away!
View 6 Replies View RelatedI hit Automusic in X5 pro. It came on and now I can't get it to go away. Didn't mean to get it going but there seems to be no way to turn it off and get rid of the trak. Do I have to reedit this whole video starting again. There must be a way, but I just can't seem to find how to turn it off.
I even uninstalled automusic from the computer - no luck. there is a little brown line begins at 3 seconds and runs just over the video track. Is this automusic or something else?
Had this installed and working fine for a month or so. Just learning how to use this when today when I went to start it up it would get to the welcome box and just stop. The box was completely blank and the only way to turn the program off was to use the Task Manager to close it down. After reading a few post on similar situations - the advise was to uninstall then reinstall the software. Used the windows uninstaller, afterwards rebooted then tried to re-install.
When I put in the the DVD I get to the screen where I accept the license agreement - scroll to the bottom and check the box to accept - hit next and nothing happens. I checked the services.msc and the Application Experience is started and on automatic.Tried this in the internal and external DVD drive with the same results.
i have to just splice videos and photos together. My videos come out fine but when I try to add photos to this video it like zooms in or takes only a portion of the picture and adds it. Its very strange. Like I said though I do not really know Premiere Pro so work with me here if this is a dumb question X)

i made a 3d animation and rendered about 3000 single frames as .bmp . Now i want to put them together to a video. the speed of the animation is preset, so i need every frame to show up for 0.05 second..... 20 fps not 15, not 24, not 25 and not 29.97, but exactly 20 fps. i don't know if i am just very stupid, but i can not find the settings for this.
With the installation of SP1 (VSX4), the options to create a blu-ray video file (assuming 1920x1080 only, though the same options exist for 1440x1080) are now:
Blu-ray (1920 x 1080)
Blu-ray H.264 (1920 x 1080P)
Blu-ray H.264 (1920 x 1080)
Now, I want to create a 'standard' Blu-ray disc of family videos. My camera is a Canon Vixia HF20, recording in 1920x1080 in the '60i' mode. The camera creates AVCHD formatted files. I know I don't want the progressive option, however, what is the difference between the other two options (is it MEG4 vs. AVCHD? If so, what should I choose when creating a new disc?). I want my disc to support as many blu-ray players and HDTV's as possible since I will be giving copies to various family members (meaning I don't want a format that supports only the latest releases of blu-ray players).
Can it actually be done? If I so much as drop 3D file onto the timeline and tag it as 3D (SBS L-R in my case), I get the "... lost 3D attributes..." message when I try to create a 3D file. I tried tagging a 2D file as 3D for S&Gs and got the same result. In case it matters, the files are in .avi format (and even rendering a 2D version of these makes a jumpy video, but I digress...).

The reason I am hoping I can capture video just like I can with a webcam is because the view screen on my camera no longer functions so therefore I can only point in my general direction and center up the shot in post edit.
