View 1 RepliesI have a GoProHD Hero camera, I've been recording stuff mainly in 960p at 30fps because that's all my computer can handle at the moment.
My main problem is that I lose the HD part of the video after edit and render the video in VideoStudio X3. The file type is MPEG4, when I render the final project, I set it to save as the same file type, at 1280x720p with a data rate of 5Mbps all in the H.264 MAIN codec mainly for Youtube uploading purposes.
If I were to upload the raw footage directly to Youtube, it's in true HD and uses the full width of the player when played at 720p. However, when I upload the final project to Youtube even when set to play in HD (720p) it is only in letterbox format.
Am I rendering my projects incorrectly? Why does it keep doing this? Is it some sort of file compression issue or something? I'm pretty new to the whole video editing platform, I'm pretty much learning on my own.
I put together some vacation photos in a slideshow. What is the difference in rendering them in "DVD Video" or "DVD Slideshow"? Don't they both do the same thing?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using Video StudioPro X4 and rendering a video that is about 15 minutes when it stops at 4% complete, showing the following words: Cannot read audio (0x80004005). Other numbers on the message are: (18300:8000:192). Is there a way to know why it will not continue rendering and/or which audio files to check?
View 3 Replies View RelatedFirst, some glitches (short freeze frame) at video transitions. Usually at the end of the transition. I could upload some samples... The problem persist in both : hardware or software accelerated mode.
Also, when i want to create a video file and i use the "same as first video clip" even the project is a HDV 1440x1080 format, the video is created as DVD 720x576 4:3 aspect.
my video and audio to synchronize after rendering. About end of last year when I first brought this issue, I was made to believe that I do not have a “good” or “powerful” enough system to handle what I was doing.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have just taken some short video clips and put them together in a 3min 40 second video. When I tried to save it to my desktop the rendering took a little over an hour. This is my first try so I am really a newbie Is it normal to take that long to render? I was planning on making 20 to 40 minute videos but at an hour for every 3 minutes it may not work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using VSX5 and after rendering a project of video, where I have added transitions and titles, the video image is not as clear as it was before I rendered.
I have captured the footage from a mini dv camera using firewire, or, someone else has captured the video footage on a dvd using a dvd burner and given me the dvd to import into VSX5. Sometimes VSX5 will not read that dvd for import, so I have used freemake video converter, and converted the dvd into an mpeg file and put it in a folder on my computer where VSX5 "grabs" it. During the edit phase, the video is clear, after render, it loses some of it's clarity and is blurry.
This has not always been the case. The only thing that has changed with VSX5 is I installed sp2.
I'm using the trial version of CVS X4 and have been impressed so far, but have come into a problem that I have seen others post here, but it's not 100% identical to my problem.
I'm able to view each clip individually without any playback problem upon capture. However, once I drop a clip into the timeline, the clip experiences a very slight but noticeable bit of stuttering/jumping/hiccuping every so many seconds during playback on the timeline. I was hoping that this might have just been occurring in preview mode, but after creating a video file, the problem still exists. This footage was captured using a Flip camera.
I've posted a 1 minute sample on Youtube at [URL] ...... You'll notice while viewing an opening pan of the Welcome sign and footage of the columns the issue I'm inquiring about. I find it very strange that this especially noticeable when a scene is being panned.

one question: is it possible in VS X4 export a video together with a transparent alpha channel (as, for example, a result of a chroma key) ?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am trying to overlay a logo on top of my titles. The logo is a circle and is in PNG format. When I use this logo in documents it is totally transparent with only the circle showing. However, when I try to use it in my video the circle has a white square around it, the white being the transparent area.
View 2 Replies View RelatedUsing a 288MB quicktime file (1920x1080) shot with a Nikon D7000, all I did in PS was add two curves layers, one masked and the other not.
If I export (to the same file type) with "all frames" selected, the file balloons to 21GB and the rendering is lousy: jagged, as if most of the frames are dropped.
That doesn't happen, however, if I export a short range of frames (400 frames out of a total 2810). Rendering comes out fine and the file size seems to be comensurate with its portion of the original. When I try to export the whole video using the first and last frames of the video in the range dialogue, PS freezes up.
The original, unedited video, however, plays fine, it's just overexposed.
I'm running Win 7, 64bit, 16GB RAM, core i7 3.4GHz cpu, with an Nvidia GeForce GT 530.
Rendering video in new Photoshop Cs6 is very very very slow!!
Example:
(test on iMac intel 3,2 Ghz i3, 8gb Ram, 512 Mb video Radeon, 1Tb Hd)
1:40 (min:sec) video (no effect, no levels, only cut 5 sec.), rendering video (H.264 high quality) in 15 minutes!!!!!!!!!
Simply unusable.
Video editing feature of PS CC is awesome and I have applied many filters to the video clip after converting it to a smart object. This works great for PS filters (e.g., oil paint) and NIK filters. However when I export > render video with a Topaz filter (e.g., Simplify 4 > Painting II) the process goes through the motions, I see the topaz function being called on each frame but after rendering the output .mp4 file doesn't have the Topaz effects applied.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using cs6 to make a time lapse video. When rendering this in H.264 format there is a significant color shift. For example green grass takes on an almost cyan look in the rendered file.
I am running Win7 64. My monitors have been calibrated using a Spyder 3 Elite, and color management works perfectly for me in all other areas (printing, etc.)
I'v graded a video clip with a camera raw smart filter applied to it. I try to render it out in AME and it only renders 1 frame for the length of the video.

View 10 Replies View RelatedIt is taking 6 - 7 hours to render 2 - 6 minute 1080p videos down to 720p. Granted there are about 10 - 15 layers and a bunch of editing... but when I look at the performance monitor during rendering the intire resources used by my computer is around 45% - 50% for memory, processor, and little to no GPU is this normal?
It just seems really wierd to me. I have read the Adobe blog and watched the Learning Videos on the website on how to adjust the performance settings and have 90% of the RAM alocated to Photoshop.

Scratch Drive - 2TB older 5200rmp HDD
Rendering to and From - 1TB 7200rpm HDD
When selecting the render video command, a progress bar appears stating "Initializing Video Export", and gets most of the way done but then freezes. At this point a dialogue pops up saying that "Required software extensions are missing" and that if one presses okay it will direct to the PACE website where an installer can be downloaded. But this dialogue then proceeds to freeze as well. The little circle of death spins forever in front of it and neither button may be pressed. Went to the PACE website and looked at their anti-piracy "tools" and it all seemed rather weird. Anyway, what is the way past this empasse?

I am trying to use the lens effect flare to simulate the sun in a space scene. I have the camera view active and set to a frame where the sun is visible. In video post I set the sun as the node source and I hit VP Queue and preview but the effect is not rendering.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt seams that when editing in After Effects (CS6) despite doing everything i've been told to do i get no audio when editing video clips imported from my digital camcorder. The only audio it seams i can hear in it is an actual song or audio file (MP3) and the worst part is when i render out the video after adding my effect even when i check the audio output box in the Output Module, i keep most render settings the way they are? but i have tried everything that i have seen suggested but nothing seams to work and no matter what i do i cannon manage to get any audio from my finished products unless there is an actual song in it.I must also add that in the Output Module i have tried many formats such as MPEG4, H.26, AVI, WAV, Windows Media and many others, none of them make a difference to the audio, only the quality of the video.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to edit a video for a friend. He shot the video with his phone and it shows up sideways when it is imported to Premiere. Everything works fine till I rotate is 90 degrees. When I rotate it the bar on top becomes red. The audio and video still play perfectly fine though. When I render the video and it plays back, the audio stays the same, but the video speeds up by almost 10 seconds. Also, when I try to just start over with the clip and just reimport it, it will only let me add audio to the sequence. The video plays in the preview, but will not add to the sequence after telling it to render the first time. I have deleted the project, all prefrences for Premiere, and even did an uninstall and reinstalled it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased Video Studio Pro X3 - and after going through the knowledge base and product read me, I have been unable to find an answer to the following problem I have:
PROBLEM:
I have a number of videos (HD 1080p) that I have recorded. Each video is on average 50 minutes in length - what I want to do it to be able to do is to slice this video into 10 x 5 minute videos (based on topics discussed in the video), (so essentially clip the video into these segments and edit each one) and then when producing the video file - actually create 10 separate video files (all with editing in place) instead of one single large file.
As far as I have been able to work out, I need to go through the whole file, clip relevant sections, edit them, and then save project. I then need to go trim the saved file 10 times, to extract each time the single 5 minute video I want to create. This is a fairly manual and time consuming process, hence my hope that I can create 10 files based on the clips I have made in the larger 50 minute file in one go.
as I have 30 videos to edit, so looking for ways to save time!
