I installed an application into revit 2012, now it has shoved itself up to the left most tab and is interfering with my workflow.
Can I change the tab position on the ribbon so the application tab is always far right?

just upgraded from 2004 to 2012. Wow, sure looks different.I'm playing around with the ribbon & don't know how to stop an annoying behavior. I position the ribbon locked to the side of my display because I have a wide screen & if docked to the top I end up with a very wide, skinny drawing area. when ever I make a change tp the ribbon contents it goes back to the default top position, after which I have to relocate it again. Is there a way to get it to remember the previous position of the ribbon?

View 7 Replies View RelatedWe have a problem in some of our views (mostly dependent views), Central file.We place normal annotation text (not littera) and everything looks fine.
Then it happens, random can take days, and noone tuch the views nor the text style, that the text duplicate itself up to 1-4 times, and also change its location on the view.(The text don't lie on each other, but spread around the view, but keeps the condition in location to each other from the origin texts that was placed)
When we have encounter this we have deleted the copys and placed the text right again and then it works for a while...everything repeats itself, and in the end (random timeflow) the text deletes itself completely.
Somehow I got the ribbon vertical in autocad architecture 2010 I don't know how I did it nor how to get back at default horizontal position

View 3 Replies View RelatedAs of just a few hours ago, certain commands have disappeared from my ribbon. Example: when modifiying wall, i get no options for lines, same issue for modifiying floor shapes, i can get to the edit mode, but then i essentially have no options after that. Also, the check or the reject changes option has disaapeared.....meaning the only way out of the command is to undo. This literally has just occured within the last couple of hours. I tried resetting the ribbon, but nothing really happened exect locational changes.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a user that isn't getting the modify tools when it comes to Profile modification or adjusting such items as curtain grids.
I'm aware of all the standard ways of hitting TAB, etc, but selecting the proper item isn't the issue. When the profile edge (of anything) or curtain grid line (unpinned, of course) of curtain walls are selected the tools for modification (add-remove segment, edit profile, etc) simply don't appear on the ribbon.
Where is the 'Create tab' located as not on the Ribbon? I understand I need it to get to the Family Types dialog box.

View 4 Replies View Related2013 Revit ribbon bar is missing commands..Tried to install the update to fix the ribbon bar - however when I open the update folder on my computer it states
"The update release could not be installed because the expected Autodesk product could not be located on your computer. Make sure that you are using the correct Update Release for the product."
The update file that I am trying to use is called "Autodesk_Revit_2013-x86_Update2.exe".
Granted this is a minor issue, but when Revit 2013 is opened, before actually opening a project file, if I click the add-ins or some of the other menus, they don't appear in the right spot. See attachment as an example.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIf I have several sheets of several floors, and I want the views in each sheet to be positioned at exactly the same position. How do I best accomplish that?
You can use the "Guide Grid" to place the views on a sheet. Then you can align the view (using the grid lines) to this guide grid. In the other sheets, you can use again the same guide grid, just select the guide grid name in the properties of the sheet.
Additional information about guide grid is available in the Revit help, search for "Aligning views on a sheet" or "Guide Grid".
Below is the image of my ribbon after I begin the edit boundary command for a floor slab. For some reason the ability to finish or cancel the edit mode disappears and I'm unable to close out of the command without undoing everything I've done.

View 6 Replies View RelatedRibbon has been acting strange. One example is when creating a sweep the ribbon will not show the mode options to accept or discard changes while creating the sweep path. I have to cycle the ribbon display options to show the X and check options to complete the sweep path. This is only one example of many different odd things happening.
Sometimes when I am simply drawing model lines the selection options for rectangle, circle etc do not appear until I cycle the ribbon display options. This only started in the last week or two.

I am trying to animate a simple 3D position change in Photoshop Extended CS6 (OS 10.7.4)Here's what I do:
1. I move my object to its starting position.
2. I move the Current Time Indicator ("playhead") to the time I want the position change to start.
3. I click the Time‑Vary stopwatch icon on the Position layer of the timeline, and a keyframe is automatically created, no problem.
4. I move the playhead away from the initial keyframe to the time I want the position change to end.
5. I move my object to its ending position.
I expect to see the second keyframe be automatically created, as advertised, BUT it is not. What's more, if i move the playhead to "scrub" through the animation, I see no movement. What's happened is the position I set for Keyframe 1 has changed to the position I just moved the object to, which I intended to be Keyframe 2.
I've tried this code here after setting the assembly flexible in the top level but it doesn't work.

I will be pulling the subassemblies in as read-only parts and I would like to change the positional representation with code in the top level assembly.
What setting have I changed: Just today, when I try to move a point, "unite" shapes, or join 2 points, the points jump out of position. I've turned off "snap to grid" and "align new objects to pixel grid". I've even copied and pasted the artwork into a new "default" file. I've also restarted AICS5. I'm sure I'm overlooking something obvious.

I am making a walk cylcle and I want the character to walk from one end of the screen to the nextl but, when I make a new frame, move him to the opposite end of the screen on a NEW FRAME it changes the previous frames position to match the current one I am on.
