I am trying to print from revit 2013 and every time I try and to print a sheet, view, or anything the program crashes saying "unrecoverable error". I have tried updating the software, reinstalling the software, and the error still continues.
View 3 RepliesBeen using Revit 2011 for a couple of years and never had any problems until recently. I attempted to load a component file and got an Unrecoverable Error and Revit shut down. Now, it appears that any attempt to load or open a file from inside Revit results in this same problem. I have read multiple posts and solutions and wiped/reinstalled the program. Nothing has worked. I'm running it on XP.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using Revit 2013 for a few weeks now. When Revit opens the splash screen appears and the programme loads fine, I then open the file I want to work on. This is when the error message of an "unrecoverable error" occuring.
This used to happen now and then until today which does not open it all. I have seen solutions on other posts but it still doesn't seem to address the problem.
I'm running Photoshop Elements 5.0. Everything was working fine til this mornin. I've had the program for about a year now. When I tried to open it this morning I got this error message that popped up.
It says:
Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable.
I've tried repairing the program. That didn't work. Restarted my computer. That didn't work. Uninstalled the program and tried opening it again. That didn't work. I'm at a loss! I really need to get into my program b/c my work is there. I tried opening some of my files (they are located in my Pictures folder) and they pop up with the same message.
I just went on photo shop cs2 and I got a message saying "Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error.Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable." How do I fix this? I reinstalled photo shop I tried restoring my computer, I tried restarting my computer, what do I do? Adobe Image ready works just fine though.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble printing in Photoshop CS2. Rregardless of which printer I try to print to, I get the message "Could not print because of a problem writing the print file". I have never encountered this error before.
The psd file I am printing is a wall banner, and is quite large (~200MB). It contains elements copied/pasted as pixels from Illustrator CS2. However even if I flatten the file, or save as a flattened tif, I still get the same error message.
Thinking that the psd file is corrupted, I tried printing an earlier version of the file, with no luck. I've even tried printing other, small unrelated files, and can't print those either. Even after rebooting the computer.
The computer I'm using has a dual core processor, 4GB RAM, a decent graphics card and is running under XP. I have gob-loads of HD space and also use a scratch disk.
I really only want to print the file myself as a proof. However, I'm concerned that the banner printers won't be able to print the file either.
I want to print to a pdf file. On the export files it list dwf and dwfx, but where is the export to pdf?

Except I tried to do it with a "shaded" building with sheet metal on as the walls, so evenly spaced vertical lines as the patter. The walls look perfect on the elevation views and the 3D view. but when I try to save the "print" to the PDF view the lines are not evenly spaced and there are not many of them. Is there a better way to export to a PDF? It says when I "print" to my PDF format that Revit will use Raster, could this be causing the problem? If so, how so I use vector?

So I just purchased and installed my first copy of an Adobe Suite and now I can't print. Back story: I had CS4 on my machine from my last job and it printed fine. When I lost my job, I went the legit route and installed the demo for CS 6 until I was able to aquire my own copy. CS 6 also printed fine.
I found a version on eBay of CS 5.5 and was eager to install. Yes, it is a full legit version with original disc and packaging; the seller even went so far as to have the liscence transfered over to me. I used the "AdobeCreativeSuiteCleanerTool" to remove all previous versions before doing a clean install of CS 5.5. Everything else in the suite seems to be running normally except printing.
I've looked on the forums and tried several of their suggestions to no avail:
1) I tried changing the "Color Handling" in the print options box.
2) I tired running it in 32 bit mode.
3) I tried fixing permissions.
4) I trashed my preferences and tried the Shift-Option-Command trick
5) I updated the Adobe software (no updates for Photoshop)
6) I reinstalled my printer drivers.
I just printed last night from CS 6 and now no luck today.
I get the error message when I try and print. I do custom printing for clients. I've tried turning off my computer and re-starting it, but that didn't work. Do I need to un-install CS5, and then re-install?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having issues with print quality on certain drawings, which is a shame as print quality generally exceeds that of AutoCAD Architecture.
The issue I have is with a SHADED and shadowed elevation drawing. When I go to print to PDF it insists line removal is done using raster rather than vector processing. This leads to a poor quality PDF both on screen and printed.
I accept that automatically generated shadows may make this necessary but with then turned off, I don't.
If I print a coloured plan, say a room or area drawing with automatically generated colours, it's quite happy to plot it using vector processing. I DO NOT see any difference between this and a shaded elevation without shadows! Any way of improving the look of raster processed output?
We have several users utilizing the same printer. To prevent sheets from different jobs from mixing, and a large quantity of pages sitting in the printer, each print job is queued in the printer until the sender requests that it be printed at the printer. With Revit, the problem is that each sheet is sent as a separate print job, meaning that a 300 sheet print jobe requires me to stand at the printer and request that each one be printed (300 requests). In AutoCAD, the PUBLISHCOLLATE variable sends all sheets in a publish operation as a single job. Is there a way to do this in Revit 2011?

Is there a way to print an area larger than my titleblock, so that I can include the border defining the edge of the paper in the final printed pdf?
My workflow requires me to open the pdf in illustrator and make adjustments before a final print. I need the boundary printed so that I can scale the drawing inside illustrator back up to proper size.
Maybe I need to make a custom titleblock with a larger boundary?
