I'm trying to delete a stacked wall that's in a series of stacked walls, / Or I'm trying to edit the elevation of one of those staked walls, and I keep getting "There is a circular chain of references among the highlighted elements". Revit is not even allowing me to delete the wall to put in a new wall?
View 2 RepliesI have a work set file which cannot open. A dialog box with 'Circular Chain of References' appears. When I expand the dialog box, the option to delete the errors are grayed out. They are issues to do with a floor plan, including a filled region and detail lines.
I have been working on this file everyday, so it's been saved and opened constantly, yet even the backed up files from over a week ago have the same error message. Even file which are detached from the central.
When the mouse is placed on the elements ,They appear to be highlighted.
Can we highlighted to disable.??
Why are my Level Lines highlighted green?
Also why do some of the level symbols appear blue?
Searched and find, how to change the colors of the types, not why they are displaying in other colors than black.
Is there an option in Revit to automatically ignore unresolved references and continue opening the file without showing the dialog box?

I want to create a circular shaped elevator with a circular fence around it that's roughly half the size of an average sized character standing on it. I then wish it import this as a static mesh into UDK.

When I open Elements 9 in Folder Location the images displayed are not those in the highlighted folder. Similarly if I select another folder I see another selection of images from elsewhere in the structure.

I always use curves with no problem, but, adjustments isn't highlighted.
At roundabout, chain age at central alignment is connected to main roads alignments as it should be. problem is sometimes it is continuous chain age and some time it shows -ve chain ages and sometimes it starts from 0+000.00. I want it should start from 0+000.00.

Layers used have individual chain link options. (CS1)
The way it is handled now, is awkward and time consuming.
If you want to link layers that are not next to each other, you shift-select all the unwanted ones in between as well. Than you need to de-link those in a second go. (By moving down to buttom for each single layer you need to deselect)
Is this supposed to be a smart improvement?
Is there an on/off option to have individual chain link with every layer, that I have missed?

Anyway, it appears to have something to do with interpenetration of the links. I'm sure it is easy to fix just by changing some numbers somewhere, Now all I need to know is which numbers and where they are located...
I am attempting to make a roller chain animation. what would be the best method? I have found a fairly good method of creating the chain using array in Inventor then importing it into max as the assembly arrangement needed . Can I just have all of the links follow a path?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a simple character with two a leg. The IK chain goes from the top bone to the bottom nub. When I move the ik helper around, the knee does not bend, even though there is a joint for it. Instead the leg rotates only at the top.

The bones are all connected correctly as well.
I am working with a rig that has arms and legs in which the upper and lower sections (Thigh, Shin, Upper Arm, Forearm) are composed of chains of bones in and of themselves. I have included a screen shot to show a simplified example of what I mean.
When working FK, of course, this is no problem at all, but sometimes I'd like to be able to use IK solvers to make placement tasks easier. Unfortunately, applying an IK solver means the bones forming the upper and lower parts of the limb also bend as the limb bends. In the screenshot, the bones on the left are an example of what sort of limb I am dealing with, the bones in the middle show the effect of using an IK solver (note the bend in the upper and lower leg) and the bones on the right show what I would like to achieve using IK.
So, is there any way to lock the motion of those bones composing the upper and lower parts of the limb so they won't bend as part of an IK chain? I'm using Max 2010 by the way.
I am currently creating a chain block to be animated later on. But, I do not know how to constraint it.

If I have a psd file with 10 layers, sometimes I want to quickly move an element around but, regardless of what layer I'm working on, or which layer is selected, my "selection tool" will grab whatever layer is the top one, or the whole "group" is the layer is in one, instead. So, usually, I have to reorder my layers to make the adjustment and then reorder them again.

To that end I have a mapping software that given the initial and final location of the trip it will create a map displaying the route traveled with a highlighted mark on the map along the route taken. View 4 Replies View RelatedI used the Ellipse Select Tool to cut, then paste an area in an image. Now the move of this image component is done I need to 'switch off' the ellipse to paint outside it. I expected the 'Select' 'None' menu option to switch it off, but it doesn't.
What should I do?
