View 5 Replies View RelatedYes, I am new to Revit, and I can add a revision cloud and see the line added to the rev block but I'm trying to add revision and have it show up on the rev block without adding a rev cloud. I did it once and can't figure out how to do it again. On the Sheet Issues/Revisions dialog box I check on the Issued box and on show I've selected Cloud and Tag, Tag, and None.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs it possible, short of doing some programming through the Revit API, to change the shape of the arcs created with the Revit "Revision Cloud" tool? For example, with AutoCAD you can enter the size of the arcs that you want to use when you use the revision cloud command. Is there anything similar in Revit?
I have done some searching and am surprised at how little mention there is about both the strange look of the clouds produced by the Revit tool and their lack of flexibility. Everyone focuses mainly on being able to associate clouds with deltas and a Revision Schedule, which I admit is important also.
Im having to cloud Revisions to my drawings. Heres what my Revision Schedule needs to be like
Revision 2 (Tag # 4)
Revision 1 (Tag # 2)
Bid Issue (No Tag)
Is there any way to change the Tag number? Because right now this is what im getting
Revision 2 (Tag # 2)
Revision 1 (Tag # 1)
Bid Issue (No Tag)
Is there a way to achieve the calligraphy line style found in AutoCAD for revision clouds in Revit?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am currently trying to model a multi cavity mould tool. The cavities themselves do not follow either a circular or rectangular pattern.I have modelled one of the cavities using a revolve internal to the tool. I have also sketched out on the upper surface centre points where I need the cavities to be.
I was hoping I would be able to copy the cavity feature, select a base point and then use the centres from my second sketch to place the cavities.
I don't seem to be able to find this option. The copy and paste feature will likely work but it is hugely long winded positioning each cavity individually. Any method I might be able to use to model such a part?
I need to know what sketch is associated to either a "Rectangular"or "Circular"array. This is so I can filter out sketches that are not repeated in an array.
Here is my code so far (Circular Array).
Dim oCP As CircularPatternFeature
For Each oCP In oDef.Features.CircularPatternFeatures
THIS IS THE TROUBLE LINE If sketch = oCP.Parent Then
Set oCP = oDef.Features.CircularPatternFeatures.Item(oCP.Name)
[code]........
I have a simple test part containing an extruded disk (Sketch1) and 8 holes on a pcd (Sketch2). I only want to array a sketch if it is arrayed.
While using the Circular Pattern feature or rectangular pattern feature in Inventor, sometimes I want to extrude (join) or cut the drawings that I made (augmented) with using circular pattern feature, rectangular pattern feature. in this case do I have to choose all the augmented members one by one (for instance I make 42 augmented members), it can take a lot of time. also after applied any of these features I can't use trim feature, can I ? but sometimes using the trim feature after applying the Circular Pattern feature or rectangular pattern can be necessary.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using autocad 2011 and i am trying to turn an object into a revision cloud like i used to.
When i open the revision cloud, the only options it now shows are "exit/options" (option only opens a box that allows you to change the arc style and cord length). It does not have "arch length, object or style".
(i am using AutoCad Mechanical but i changed all the toolbars to AutoCad standard)I cant make a neat revision cloud without those original options.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIm running Inventor 2012 on a 64 bit windows 7 machine.
Having just newly discovered that Inventor has a Revision Cloud command, I read through the forums and found out that I had to install the two SKD .msi files named DeveloperTools & UserTools, which I have done. I also read that I have to execute the RegisterGeneralTools.exe which I have also done. I've rebooted and restarted Inventor numerous times thinking that my Add-Ins tab will show up with my newly acquired Revision Cloud command in Drawing Tools but to no avail.
Im coming from Inventor 2009 so I'm not sure if the Add-Ins tab is now supposed to be the Add-In Manger but from what I seen I should have a tab just right of "Get Started" and should include Drawing Tools and General Tools.
I work on AutoCad 2012. I am trying to find the revision cloud & tag tool. I seem to only be able to place a revision cloud without a tag on the drawing. I don't see a tag option and searching for the option on the help menu has resulted in zero hits. Does AutoCad 2012 not offer this feature or am I looking in the wrong location?

I'm trying to create a custom expression in a structure table that will list the "size" of the structure, wheter it be a circular or rectangular structure. My column simply states size and I want it to label 5' for a circular or 4'x4' for a rectangular (or whatever the specific sizes are). The thought was to create an IF function, but Structure Shape was not available to use in expressions (among other problems). Short of using the description field (tedious) as a workaround?
In this example - CB-104 is a rectangular structure and CB-106 is a circular. I'd like the CB-104 size to read 4'x4'.

Is there a way to add new parameters to revision schedule
View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to be able to add a single revision to all sheets at once. For example when doing a major issue of all sheets for building approval. In this case I don't use revision clouds but use the "Revisions on Sheet" function in the properties for the individual sheet. Hence the problem, having to individually select every sheet one by one and add the revision to each sheet. Is there a way to multiple select all or some sheets and just do it once? I've tried doing this through a schedule but that doesn't let you select and change a revision either. Is there an add-in that could do this perhaps?

View 1 Replies View RelatedA new phenomenon today after updating R14 yesterday with the 'rvt2014ur11' patch, though this might not be connected. My revision clouds, after finishing the edit and clicking the big green tick, disappear! The revion number and note is added to the bottom of the sheet but no revision cloud. As annotation objects visibility is on, there is no annotation cut off on a sheet view and they do not show up when the 'Reveal Hidden Elements' is chosen.
