View 1 RepliesJust created a 2nd drawing sheet in my IDW, and when i place a revision table it is missing most of the data that is shown on sheet 1. All i get are the description column entries, nothing else.
View 9 Replies View Relatedhow to access the drawing sheet revisions using Ilogic.My company is wanting to start making the default initial rev on a drawing a "-" and inventor does not like to keep this when brought in as a template.
So like normal I am trying to trick it into having the dash until a rev is actually added.
I am using the sheet list table to generate a table of contents. I add the "Drawing Revision Number" column to the table, but when it generates the list it does not include the field.
Is there any way to add the "Sheet Revision Number" instead since this is what property is actually adjusted in the sheet's properties? (i never change the "Drawing Revision Number")
OR is the solution to change the "Drawing Revision Number"? Where do I change this property at? Is this property applied to all sheets within a drawing?
a customer has a title block with a revision table ( standard vault revision table) add on top of it.
If you change the sheet size the revision table remains his position.
If found the way to reposition the table with a ilogic rule.:
'point afstand in cm
PointX=(ActiveSheet.Width/10)-13
PointY=5.5
'punt vanaf rechtonder gemeten in cm
[Code]....
This is working perfectly. But now the challange how to trigger this rule to run if you change the sheet size?
if tried:
trigger=Activesheet.size
or
to create a userparameter and added this line in my rule : Size=ActiveSheet.size, normaly is you change parameters it triggers the rule to rule. but both way didn't work.
Can event triggers from the API be used? Do i need the "Onchange" event? Any example for a ilogic rule?
Is there a way to add new parameters to revision schedule
View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to be able to add a single revision to all sheets at once. For example when doing a major issue of all sheets for building approval. In this case I don't use revision clouds but use the "Revisions on Sheet" function in the properties for the individual sheet. Hence the problem, having to individually select every sheet one by one and add the revision to each sheet. Is there a way to multiple select all or some sheets and just do it once? I've tried doing this through a schedule but that doesn't let you select and change a revision either. Is there an add-in that could do this perhaps?
View 3 Replies View RelatedA new phenomenon today after updating R14 yesterday with the 'rvt2014ur11' patch, though this might not be connected. My revision clouds, after finishing the edit and clicking the big green tick, disappear! The revion number and note is added to the bottom of the sheet but no revision cloud. As annotation objects visibility is on, there is no annotation cut off on a sheet view and they do not show up when the 'Reveal Hidden Elements' is chosen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedYes, I am new to Revit, and I can add a revision cloud and see the line added to the rev block but I'm trying to add revision and have it show up on the rev block without adding a rev cloud. I did it once and can't figure out how to do it again. On the Sheet Issues/Revisions dialog box I check on the Issued box and on show I've selected Cloud and Tag, Tag, and None.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs it possible, short of doing some programming through the Revit API, to change the shape of the arcs created with the Revit "Revision Cloud" tool? For example, with AutoCAD you can enter the size of the arcs that you want to use when you use the revision cloud command. Is there anything similar in Revit?
I have done some searching and am surprised at how little mention there is about both the strange look of the clouds produced by the Revit tool and their lack of flexibility. Everyone focuses mainly on being able to associate clouds with deltas and a Revision Schedule, which I admit is important also.
Im having to cloud Revisions to my drawings. Heres what my Revision Schedule needs to be like
Revision 2 (Tag # 4)
Revision 1 (Tag # 2)
Bid Issue (No Tag)
Is there any way to change the Tag number? Because right now this is what im getting
Revision 2 (Tag # 2)
Revision 1 (Tag # 1)
Bid Issue (No Tag)
Having problem of Revit 2013 crashing when they go to close a large revision cloud? it doesnt seem to do iit with a smaller cloud, but when you click the green checkmark to close a large one such as clouding a large plan it shuts down with no option to save.

Surely Autodesk has a fast and simple way to do this.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create some new templates for 2013 and I'm trying to figure a way to get the model revision number to populate into the drawing's iproperty revision number so that they will match upon save. I'm trying to do this by creating an ilogic rule but I don't see a system property in the idw that will allow me to access the 3D model iprops. I am going to Event Trigger the rule to run Before Save. Is this possible?
On the drawing border I have created a formatted text box that is built as:
Type: Properties - Model
Property: Revision Number
It simply pulls the data from the models revision number and populates the text box. I need this same thing to happen but rather than populate into a text box I need it to populate into the drawings revision number iprop.

I notice that a 3D view on a Sheet, when the view is "activated" and with the crops regions on, can be reshaped, but I do not see a way to make what is shown on the view a tad "larger" (i.e., bigger, like zooming in). (I have tried, but I might be missing something?)
I wonder if there is way to scale a 3D on the sheet, to make the "scale" of only one of the 3D's larger on this sheet (without affecting the scale of the other views on the Sheet). Is this possible?
I can't change the scale of a dwg. on a sheet. Can you uggest what I need to do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to take a countertop that I have in this bathroom remodel floor plan and place it onto a separate sheet so that I can send it out for pricing. I created a new sheet "countertop details" However, it is not letting me add it - I keep getting this warning "Can't create this kind of element in this view in the current mode." I know the answer is in one of the parameters but I am still trying to get used to this program and teaching myself.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWas instructed to use arch titleblock. I created my own shared parameters file. I can physically click on the sheet and name the sheet but the name doesnt change in the project browser,
So I created a shared parameters file. I created the parameters I needed (in this case the sheet title). The parameter properties discipline set to common, type set to text. I edited each label I wanted to re-associate. Hit new, selected the shared parameter, removed the arch label and added mine. I loaded into project and had it overwrite parameters. Then I went to the project parameters and added my shared parameters and under category applied to the sheets.
why the two (project browser and the sheet itslef arent talking?
I am able to get the parameter to appear on the project information tab, but I cannot get the information to appear on the sheet. I would like to create a phase parameter on the sheet so that different projects under the same building will be specific to the project and not just the building.
View 1 Replies View RelatedToday I adjusted our title block. Scale is automated by the scale view of the views placed. It becomes 'as indicated' is multiple scale are used. No problem, that part I can live with (/ workaround).
Sadly the scale doesn't appear on a sheet list schedule. Which surprises me . With revit 2012 I was wondering: I am wrong? If not: do you have a nice workaround which doesn't mean I have to manually input it.
