View 2 RepliesI am in the process of creating the cross section sheets and including them to an existing sheet set manager. When I try to create them I get an error saying "Sheet Set not created" which is odd because I selected add to existing ssm. If I save and exit out of the drawing and then get back into it, the sheets are created correctly in my layout tabs, but aren't added to my ssm.

View 3 Replies View RelatedToday I adjusted our title block. Scale is automated by the scale view of the views placed. It becomes 'as indicated' is multiple scale are used. No problem, that part I can live with (/ workaround).
Sadly the scale doesn't appear on a sheet list schedule. Which surprises me . With revit 2012 I was wondering: I am wrong? If not: do you have a nice workaround which doesn't mean I have to manually input it.
I was wondering if it's possible to create a sheet list that uses keys. I'm trying to create a sheet list that will also have key dates listed with whether or not changes occurred to that sheet (something our project managers like to see). In the attached image you can see how we're doing it today.
I can get everything with the exception of the dates that allow a yes/no style for them. Is there anyway to recreate this in Revit? If not could I make a separate key schedule for just the date portion and align it with the sheet list. In essence creating two separate schedules aligned so it looks like one schedule? I tried setting up that, but cant seem to create a key schedule that will allow me to use sheet items for sorting purposes.
I've been trying to style my sheet list schedule. ... trying. Is it true that I can't
* style (fontsize, fontweight etc) a 'sorting header'?
* style the scheduleborder to only underline the sheetlist-rows
* seperate the header styles from sheetlist styles? (I don't want the header to have a border.... while sheetlist-row should be underlined)
* format the height of a row
I have a Revit problem that seems straightforward, but not to me at the moment. We have a label in the title block. The label comprises 3 parameters concatenated with “-“ separators:
Project NumberDisciplineSheet Numbereg:
123456789-A-001
Of those 3 parameters
Project Number: is inbuilt Revit Project InformationDiscipline: is Shared ParameterSheet Number: is inbuilt Revit Project Information In our Drawing List, for each sheet listed, we want one field to display the full label value: 123456789-A-001
We have a project where we have the model separated by discipline, arch, struct, mech and Elec. As I work on the arch model, I have all other models linked, each has generated its sheets. When I create a sheet list I only get the sheets on my model. Is it possible to create a sheet list from linked models?

If you look at the attached drawing you will see my drawing sheets. The problem I have is regarding the attributes used for the 'Checked By' section of my sheet.
Yesterday I added a 'Size' tag to my sheet so this shows whats size paper the sheet is to be printed at. To make this fit I needed to move all the existing attributes over to the right.
Everyone except the 'Checked by' tag moved. I cannot now get this tag to move over even if I open the block up and move it.
I've attached an image to show you what I mean.
I have an existing drawing with numerous viewports. I would like to know if there is a way to link those existing viewports to the set as "sheet views" without having to delete them and re-create them using the normal sheet set process.
I've noticed that each viewport has a variable in its properties display called "link to sheet view" with a yes or no entry, but it doesn't seem changable.
Is this possible, or must I re-create them from scratch?
I'm attempting to create a sheet set from existing drawings, but when I point the "New Sheet Set Wizard" to the folder containing my 8 or so drawings (with 24 or so associated layouts), only 2 drawings appear with 6 associated layouts for import. The other layouts don't even show up as being part of another sheet set. How do I get the New Sheet Set Wizard to "see" the layouts?

I'm trying to fill out a sheet stock list in paperspace. What is the trick to get the new text object located in the proper place? When I run the attached code, the text always is located at 0,0,0. Is there an offset I need to apply?
I am trying to solve a problem. My company uses AutoCAD 2013. We set up a sheet set manager template that has custom properties linked to fields in an attribute block. Now we want to finish configuring a sheet list table. The problem is that we cannot get the sheet list table to look the way we want it.
In the sheet list table we add the drawing number, the revision, and then three titles (all from left to right). The three titles come from three separate attributes in the title block. The titles say the discipline (electrical) then the system type, then the particular drawing itself. We want to figure out how if possible, to have these three separate attributes in the same sheet list table cell.
We tried to do a multi-line text, which did place all three titles into one table cell, but then had issues with the multi-line text placing the three different titles into position on the title block.
When you extract information from attribute blocks to form a spreadsheet can you specify that the spreadsheet also lists the co-ordinates x,y, z for that block? For example, you have an attribute block with information regarding, station number, chine number. When I extract the information I would like to list the x, y co-ordinate point of the circle block .

I can select the .dst file, but when it "opens" I onlly have the icon in the seet set manager and nothing else, it is entirely blank.

A collegue asked me about this as he has been given a part to model and the details are for the flat sheet not the finished model. Is this possible in 'sheet metal'? I had a quick play but couldn't work it out. Im used to creating the finished part and 'un-folding' to get the flat pattern.Detail supplied below.

View 2 Replies View Related In fact, some of the things I've found online refer that you cannot automatically replace entire Titleblock Templates for existing Sheets in the Sheet Set Manager. So, here's my question:
Can you replace all existing Sheets in a Sheet Set with an entirely new Template file automatically, without opening each Sheet and re-inserting the Title block?
Example:
Let's say I have a Sheet Set. Inside the Sheet Set, I already have 20 sheets created. I then realize that my Template file is missing our company logo. I then have to open the Template file and insert my company logo. Well, this works for all newly created sheets from that point forward, but how can I get this change to automatically populate in the existing 20 Sheets that are already in the Sheet Set?
I have a dwg file with three sheets in, just default names, I can access sheets 2 and 3 but get the attached errors when trying to access sheet 1 form either sheet 2 or 3
This file was originally created in IV2009 I've had no problems then or with the various conversions of it.
It seems to be memory related so here's the sitrep as for memory 8GB DDR2 RAM, and Virtual Memory set at min of 8192MB and a Max of 16384MB, I did have it set a systems managed but that gave a warning of low virtual memory with almost every drawing file that I opened.
I am using AutoCAD 2013 and I working on a project of approxamitely 80 pages and I have a Sheet Set Manager set up.There are about 40 pages that have text saying Continuation on Sheet XX of YY. I managed to use a field for the total count (YY) however I need to link the XX to the another drawing. I have researched and failed miserably.

I suspect that the sheet number is being brought in as text instead of a number. View 1 Replies View RelatedHow people deal with multiple revisions of one sheet with sheet set manager, basically I want the cover sheet of drawings to have a list of drawings including the revision letter and revision date and on each individual sheet keep track of historical revisions
There is the current sheet revision and date fields.Does everyone usually just update these and manually keep track of historical revisions else where in there title block?
I'm fairly new to Autocad and getting used to using sheet set manager. What I'm experiencing is, when you insert a model view it brings in an xref of that model, but i'm then unsure how to add additional xref models into the same view.
For example I have a separate ground floor plan file and OS data file which I want to show in the one sheet view without nesting the OS data to the original ground floor file.
