I am trying to add a revision cloud with an attached tag. I clicking on Annotate/Markup/Revision Cloud on the ribbon, but there is no such option there that I can find.
View 2 RepliesI work on AutoCad 2012. I am trying to find the revision cloud & tag tool. I seem to only be able to place a revision cloud without a tag on the drawing. I don't see a tag option and searching for the option on the help menu has resulted in zero hits. Does AutoCad 2012 not offer this feature or am I looking in the wrong location?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using autocad 2011 and i am trying to turn an object into a revision cloud like i used to.
When i open the revision cloud, the only options it now shows are "exit/options" (option only opens a box that allows you to change the arc style and cord length). It does not have "arch length, object or style".
(i am using AutoCad Mechanical but i changed all the toolbars to AutoCad standard)I cant make a neat revision cloud without those original options.
How I can make the revision cloud in Autocad 2002. Does it have the function? In which meny is it? What is the short command?
View 7 Replies View RelatedIm running Inventor 2012 on a 64 bit windows 7 machine.
Having just newly discovered that Inventor has a Revision Cloud command, I read through the forums and found out that I had to install the two SKD .msi files named DeveloperTools & UserTools, which I have done. I also read that I have to execute the RegisterGeneralTools.exe which I have also done. I've rebooted and restarted Inventor numerous times thinking that my Add-Ins tab will show up with my newly acquired Revision Cloud command in Drawing Tools but to no avail.
Im coming from Inventor 2009 so I'm not sure if the Add-Ins tab is now supposed to be the Add-In Manger but from what I seen I should have a tab just right of "Get Started" and should include Drawing Tools and General Tools.
Starting a drawing which now needs a revision. Can't for the life of me find a revision cloud tool to mark up a change. This is the feature in SW [URL].......

View 9 Replies View RelatedYes, I am new to Revit, and I can add a revision cloud and see the line added to the rev block but I'm trying to add revision and have it show up on the rev block without adding a rev cloud. I did it once and can't figure out how to do it again. On the Sheet Issues/Revisions dialog box I check on the Issued box and on show I've selected Cloud and Tag, Tag, and None.

For example, with AutoCAD you can enter the size of the arcs that you want to use when you use the revision cloud command. Is there anything similar in Revit?
I have done some searching and am surprised at how little mention there is about both the strange look of the clouds produced by the Revit tool and their lack of flexibility. Everyone focuses mainly on being able to associate clouds with deltas and a Revision Schedule, which I admit is important also.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAlthough we're in Architecture 2012, I've gotten rid of the Windows ribbons and used MENULOAD to bring back the toolbars I am most efficient with. Using the revision cloud button on the DRAW toolbar, I draw the clouds in paperspace like I always have. The arcs of my clouds now flip back and forth so that they are sometimes correct and sometimes inside out. I don't know when this started (with the upgrade to 2012? out of the blue?), but it's been going on for a while and it happens whether I draw clouds clock-wise or counter clock-wise.
There used to be an option where you could "flip" the cloud to change the arc "direction" and now it seems to do it automatically. No matter how slowly I draw a cloud, I often end up having to erase and redraw (and redraw, and redraw). I've searched but I can't find any mention of changing the orientation or direction of the arcs on a revision cloud.
Is this a feature, a setting or a bug in my system and is there any way to make it go away?
I am trying to create some new templates for 2013 and I'm trying to figure a way to get the model revision number to populate into the drawing's iproperty revision number so that they will match upon save. I'm trying to do this by creating an ilogic rule but I don't see a system property in the idw that will allow me to access the 3D model iprops. I am going to Event Trigger the rule to run Before Save. Is this possible?
On the drawing border I have created a formatted text box that is built as:
Type: Properties - Model
Property: Revision Number
It simply pulls the data from the models revision number and populates the text box. I need this same thing to happen but rather than populate into a text box I need it to populate into the drawings revision number iprop.

I am using the sheet list table to generate a table of contents. I add the "Drawing Revision Number" column to the table, but when it generates the list it does not include the field.
Is there any way to add the "Sheet Revision Number" instead since this is what property is actually adjusted in the sheet's properties? (i never change the "Drawing Revision Number")
OR is the solution to change the "Drawing Revision Number"? Where do I change this property at? Is this property applied to all sheets within a drawing?

I have imported 2 point clouds and have tried to use the 'align' tool to specify three points from the source object (cloud) and three points from the destination object (cloud). When doing this, it does not properly align them. The point cloud makes it difficult to select the exact point I would like to align, since there may not be a point at that exact location, but close to it. Does AutoCAD require the points in alignment to match up perfectly or is it capable of doing a best fit?
Also, is AutoCAD capable of creating a solid 3D piece from the point cloud? I would like to take all of my points and make a smooth object.
We are a small office running ACA 2010 on Win7 64-bit machines, individual licenses. All our files are stored on the server and we do not use ACA sheet manager for file creation.
We are having an issue with files not saving! We have two working on the same project and they are trading between who has the base open and who is viewing "read only". Seemingly randomly one will open a base and it will be reverted back to yesterday with work lost! This can be documented when the person with "read only" open can see the changes and sometimes we have printed after the changes are made, but cannot open the editable file and see the changes. Sometimes the .bak will have the changes and sometimes not.
Does this have anything to do with "allow other users to Refedit current drawing" setting?
I've just installed ACA 2010 on my laptop on Windows XP64 bit
When I select a command such as the wall or door command. The command starts then exits out before I can draw anything.
How do I add the ribbon to 2010? I just have pull downs and tool bars.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using Autocad Architecture and am attempting to use 3-D for the first time. The program opens and runs fine, and it allows me to create objects with no issue. However, when I try to apply materials to an object, the materials do not show up. The materials/textures tab is turned on, I can see the loaded materials, and the style is set to realistic. Even when I choose the material option "select objects with this material", it selects them as if the material is applied. The material does not show up either on screen or when rendered.

I typed MENUBAR 1 to put the menu bar back up as all my staff use it and it will be required so that we can transfer from ACA 2008.
But I got the message "No menus are defined".
Why is this, I have just done a standard install I haven't changed anything...
When I click on the arrow on the Menu Line the show ribbon choice is "greyed out" How can I fix this to display ribbon when I open ACA 2010.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been getting fatal errors during my user account but not in my admin account. I logged in as admin and repaired Autocad Architecture 2010, using the system disk. I got back the report that Autocad was repaired. However, when I returned to my user account, I get an unhandled expection error when I start up Autocad.Architecture 2010. Do I need to uninstall Autocad Architecture 2010 and then reinstall or should I just pick the option to reinstall Autocad Architecture and then do I have to another registration code?
