Photoshop Elements :: Does Not Allow To Use Windows Mail To Send Photos
Nov 14, 2012I used to use element 7 to send photos to my friends, and the program understood that my default server was Windows Mail. I bought a new camera (Nikon D800) which has very large file sizes and Elements 7 could not handle these large files and I was advised by Adobe to buy Elements 11 and this program could handle these large files. The unfortunate thing is that when I tried to send photos to friends, it would not allow me to access my Windows Mail server and only showed Microsoft Outlook or Adobe Mail to choose from. I don't use either of these servers for my e-mails, but now I have this programs that does handle the photos from my new camera and allows me to organize and adjust my photos, but I can't send them to my friends with this program as it does not recognize Windows Mail as my default.

Jan 19, 2013I have Win 8 64-Bit (upgraded from Win 7 64-bit), Outlook 2013 (preview installed over Ourlook 2010) and PSE 10.

When I try use the Share > Photo Mail I get an error message: "There is no email program associated to perform requsted action. Please install an email program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel."

After I hit ok on the windows looking message box, I get a message in PSE: "Elements Organiser could not Finish creating your email Message. Please make sure that Microsoft Outlook is selected as the default email program in the Windows Internet Control Panel, and that all dialog boxes in Outlook are closed. If this is the first time you are using Microsoft Outlook, please run the Outlook applicaiton and complete its set-up process before sending mail through Elements Organizer. Alternatively, you can use the Adobe Email Service via the Elements Organiser Preferences Dialog.

I have Elements preferences pointing to Outlook. When I switch the sharing preference to Windows mail, I get: "Elements Organiser could not Finish creating your email Message. Alternatively, you can use the Adobe Email Service via the Elements Organiser Preferences Dialog."

I have checked the default programs, and Outlook 2013 has all associated file type and protocols pointed to it. (an dre-booted PC after resetting defaults)So either:
 - I am mising a fix relating to upgrading Win 7 64-bit with PSE10 to Win 8 64-bit or
 - PSE is looking for a particular protocol in the program defaults like MAILTO (but not this one as this is pointed to outlook) that is missing.
Photoshop Elements :: Entering Message When Sharing Photos Via E-mail
Jan 22, 2013Just loaded PS Elements v11. Have used PSÂ Elements v7-9 previously. When sharing photos using e-mail (comcast.net) as attachments and photo mail, I was able to enter a message to recipient before sending the e-mail. In Elements 11, in area where text can be entered, I cannot get a cursor to type a message. The phrase, Here are photos....., is embedded there and can't even erase. Area is frozen to using a cursor. Sending the e-mail is no problem.

One frustrating flaw within the Photo E-mail service....

I've been using the Adobe e-mail service and it sends e-mail just fine having set up the account as required.Â

Each new e-mail appears with the text "Here are the files I want to share with you."

Now I'd like to replace that with some different text. I can delete it and replace it on the first editing page, and it stays there after I click 'Next' to the following 'Customise Layout' section.

Clicking on 'Next' after this page, we have the final e-mail page, and the text has reverted back to 'Here are the files I want to share with you' again......

I can delete it again, but cannot type in any further text anywhere on that screen.

Shame, because the programme generally is superb. Have transformed a number of pics already, and it would be nice to use the e-mail prog that's built in as I'd like to use it, adding text as required. Otherwise, why have all the font and layout choices available if not??
Photoshop :: CS4: Where Did The Layers Chain Link...
Dec 11, 2008Layers used have individual chain link options. (CS1)
The way it is handled now, is awkward and time consuming.
If you want to link layers that are not next to each other, you shift-select all the unwanted ones in between as well. Than you need to de-link those in a second go. (By moving down to buttom for each single layer you need to deselect)
Is this supposed to be a smart improvement?
Is there an on/off option to have individual chain link with every layer, that I have missed?

Nov 9, 2011We are a water utility and have thousands of detail drawings of service taps and hydrant connections (maybe 11,000 total). These are in the old Microstation J format. Each drawing is divided into a top half and bottom half. The bottom half of the drawing is the actual drawing portion.
The top half of the drawing is text that comes out of an Old Oracle database, into Microsoft Word 2000 through mail merge then is copied and pasted into the top portion of the card. Newer drawings done like this and opened in AutoCAD have the top portion identified as an OLE object (embedded object), while the older drawings just look like a drawing in the top.
I'm looking to update the system to ArcGIS and AutoCAD. The data will be moved to a Microsoft Access database (probably later SQL Server), and I want to convert all the old Microstation drawings into an AutoCAD format. ArcGIS will provide the basemap and be linked to the database, with clickable hyperlinks to open the AutoCAD drawings. I would like to be able to keep the bottom drawing half while changing the top half of each drawing to reflect updated data in the database. If this can be automatically updated, that would be awesome.
One is the best program to automatically bulk convert the drawings from Microstation J to AutoCAD (I have 2011). Also, I'm looking for a method to display the text from the database in the top portion of the card using either mail merge with AutoCAD or some automatic method of pulling the info out of the database. Can I just copy-paste this info into AutoCAD as we did with Microstation or is there a better way?

Aug 4, 2013At roundabout, chain age at central alignment is connected to main roads alignments as it should be. problem is sometimes it is continuous chain age and some time it shows -ve chain ages and sometimes it starts from 0+000.00. I want it should start from 0+000.00.

Mar 30, 2011I am trying to anymate a chain using rigid bodies.However, when I try previewing the thing, my chain links just snap and the whole chain blows apart.
Anyway, it appears to have something to do with interpenetration of the links. I'm sure it is easy to fix just by changing some numbers somewhere, Now all I need to know is which numbers and where they are located...

Jun 24, 2013I have a simple character with two a leg. The IK chain goes from the top bone to the bottom nub. When I move the ik helper around, the knee does not bend, even though there is a joint for it. Instead the leg rotates only at the top.

3ds Max Animation :: Locking Bones In IK Chain?
May 4, 2011I am working with a rig that has arms and legs in which the upper and lower sections (Thigh, Shin, Upper Arm, Forearm) are composed of chains of bones in and of themselves. I have included a screen shot to show a simplified example of what I mean.
When working FK, of course, this is no problem at all, but sometimes I'd like to be able to use IK solvers to make placement tasks easier. Unfortunately, applying an IK solver means the bones forming the upper and lower parts of the limb also bend as the limb bends. In the screenshot, the bones on the left are an example of what sort of limb I am dealing with, the bones in the middle show the effect of using an IK solver (note the bend in the upper and lower leg) and the bones on the right show what I would like to achieve using IK.
So, is there any way to lock the motion of those bones composing the upper and lower parts of the limb so they won't bend as part of an IK chain? I'm using Max 2010 by the way.
