Aug 3, 2009Made a slide show with music, tried to e-mail to family and friends but the attactment is 15mb. Is that to large? Sending in adobe reader format pdf.

Photoshop Elements :: Does Not Allow To Use Windows Mail To Send Photos
Nov 14, 2012I used to use element 7 to send photos to my friends, and the program understood that my default server was Windows Mail. I bought a new camera (Nikon D800) which has very large file sizes and Elements 7 could not handle these large files and I was advised by Adobe to buy Elements 11 and this program could handle these large files. The unfortunate thing is that when I tried to send photos to friends, it would not allow me to access my Windows Mail server and only showed Microsoft Outlook or Adobe Mail to choose from. I don't use either of these servers for my e-mails, but now I have this programs that does handle the photos from my new camera and allows me to organize and adjust my photos, but I can't send them to my friends with this program as it does not recognize Windows Mail as my default.

Jan 19, 2013I have Win 8 64-Bit (upgraded from Win 7 64-bit), Outlook 2013 (preview installed over Ourlook 2010) and PSE 10.

When I try use the Share > Photo Mail I get an error message: "There is no email program associated to perform requsted action. Please install an email program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel."

After I hit ok on the windows looking message box, I get a message in PSE: "Elements Organiser could not Finish creating your email Message. Please make sure that Microsoft Outlook is selected as the default email program in the Windows Internet Control Panel, and that all dialog boxes in Outlook are closed. If this is the first time you are using Microsoft Outlook, please run the Outlook applicaiton and complete its set-up process before sending mail through Elements Organizer. Alternatively, you can use the Adobe Email Service via the Elements Organiser Preferences Dialog.

I have Elements preferences pointing to Outlook. When I switch the sharing preference to Windows mail, I get: "Elements Organiser could not Finish creating your email Message. Alternatively, you can use the Adobe Email Service via the Elements Organiser Preferences Dialog."

I have checked the default programs, and Outlook 2013 has all associated file type and protocols pointed to it. (an dre-booted PC after resetting defaults)So either:
 - I am mising a fix relating to upgrading Win 7 64-bit with PSE10 to Win 8 64-bit or
 - PSE is looking for a particular protocol in the program defaults like MAILTO (but not this one as this is pointed to outlook) that is missing.
Photoshop Elements :: Entering Message When Sharing Photos Via E-mail
Jan 22, 2013Just loaded PS Elements v11. Have used PSÂ Elements v7-9 previously. When sharing photos using e-mail (comcast.net) as attachments and photo mail, I was able to enter a message to recipient before sending the e-mail. In Elements 11, in area where text can be entered, I cannot get a cursor to type a message. The phrase, Here are photos....., is embedded there and can't even erase. Area is frozen to using a cursor. Sending the e-mail is no problem.

One frustrating flaw within the Photo E-mail service....

I've been using the Adobe e-mail service and it sends e-mail just fine having set up the account as required.Â

Each new e-mail appears with the text "Here are the files I want to share with you."
Â
Now I'd like to replace that with some different text. I can delete it and replace it on the first editing page, and it stays there after I click 'Next' to the following 'Customise Layout' section.

Clicking on 'Next' after this page, we have the final e-mail page, and the text has reverted back to 'Here are the files I want to share with you' again......

I can delete it again, but cannot type in any further text anywhere on that screen.

Shame, because the programme generally is superb. Have transformed a number of pics already, and it would be nice to use the e-mail prog that's built in as I'd like to use it, adding text as required. Otherwise, why have all the font and layout choices available if not??

Another issue re: scanners. Mine only has jpeg, bitmap, png and a few other file types. These are actual photographs and I'd like to scan them in RAW.

May 14, 2013how should I size a photograph to attach it in sensible proportions to an e-mail when using Elements 11? In Elements 9 I set the dpi at 72 and then the longest length at 1024mm.  he shortest length was set automatically by the programme. Elements 11 doesn't allow me to do this. I've tried starting off with 72 dpi but as soon as I enter the longest length the dpi changes. This did not happen with E9 and in E9 the size of the attachment was measured in KB's but with E11 I finish up with quite large MB sizes.Â

Feb 19, 2014I have PE9. When I try to send a photo as an email attachment, I cannot input any contact info. I get a pop-up that asks me to sign in to my Adobe ID. When I try, it says Photoshop.com is not available, error code 400. At no point do I get to a screen that allows me to input contact info, even from the Edit menu. I deactivated, uninstalled and reinstalled the program. Still have the problem. I don't have the problem on my laptop which I didn't provide with my Adobe ID.
