I am using Map 3D 2012 and when I float the cursor over objects it highlights.The problem is that when I click on the object that is highlighted, it picks another object. I have gone through the options and can't find anything that changes this.

Lately I've noticed a lag after picking an object where my crosshairs freeze and I'm unable to continue. This lasts for a fraction of a second up to 5 seconds or more. IT seems to happen most when I select a hatch object.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm using AutoCad LT 2013 at work. My issue is I have always been able to highlight and object and then enter my command and perform that command. Something happened and now when I highlight then enter my command and press enter it un-highlights the object and prompts me to highlight the object again. Also if I want to copy and paste a highlighted object it wont allow me unless I type in the command first. I can't figure out what I did.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I click on a civil 3d object the contextual ribbon will light up (which is fine) but instead of my cross hairs comming back in the drawing window I get the pointer that would be used to select an item in the ribbon (in the drawing area) and I have to click in the drawing area to get my cross hairs back or to grip edit the object or to delete the object.
Is there a option/setting I need to change to be able to get me cross hairs back after selecting a civil 3d object?
Just move to Civil 3d 2012, this worked just fine in '11...
I constantly run into the problem that I have many objects and when I want to drag the selected object to move it around, the object laying in front / or on top of it will be grabbed and moved instead. How do I shortcutwise avoid to pick an unwanted object when I'm about to drag an object ? Is there something like a key to hold, so that Illustrator understands that I want to move the already selected object only ? Since that is a 100 times per day task and I can't always lock and unlock all other layer I'm working on too ... well I could, but that would slow down working 100 times since it's not easy to identify / switch on of each layer in the layer list each time i pick another object ...

View 9 Replies View RelatedAutoCAD has been working on my laptop for many months. All of a sudden when I start AutoCAD and do the "open" or "new" command, the software says "not responding". If I set variable "FILEDIA" to 0 it prompts me for the file name. I have tried to repair, uninstall and reinstall the software and it does the same thing.

When I pick the viewport outline, my properties dialog box say's "no selection" Sometimes I get a blank dialog box and have to repick the viewport to get the dialog box to give me information. However, it will not give me the information to set viewbox scale, or will not let me lock the modelspace area so that I can zoom without altering my scale setting. Is there a setting that has gotten changed or what. A week ago the command was working fine.

Everytime I select a new item to move it, the grips off of another item I would be moving would deselect. Where is the setting to set this back to where I can individually select multiple items without AutoCad deselecting the what I had selected already.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I open drawings created by others, I get a message " Specify font for Style OPT and "Arial Unicode MS" and a host of other fonts appear in the table. If I substitute this with Arial from the drop down list then the drawing opens. I believe Auto Cad automatically picks up either the SHX files in its own font directory or font files from MS office. My computer has Arial Unicode files in C:/Windows /Font directory and I do not know why it is not picking up the font from that file.

I have a drawing view of a part with a sketch that contains some lines. I need to pick one of the sketch lines.
I can pick a line with sketch active using the kSketchCurveLinearFilter
I have not been able to pick it from outside of sketch. Have tried using kDrawingCurveSegmentFilter to get a DrawingCurveSegment but I can not get the sketch line from the DrawingCurveSegment
I assume there is a way to get the sketch line from DrawingCurveSegment or DrawingCurveObject but have not figured it out.
What setting would cause a huge, well about 5-second, delay when any entity is selected without a command active and only with the Properties Palette on-screen but autohidden? If command is given first, verb-noun, no hesitation after selecting at Select Objects: prompt. But, selecting any entity first, noun-verb, causes the 5-second delay before the mouse is again active. Very annoying. Closing the Properties Palette completely seems to cure the delay problem, but at a different cost in editing time. The workstation is running WinXP Pro with 4 gigs of ram.

I was previously using 2009, and I could add dimension labels by picking two points (endpoints, intersections, etc.) to get the whole line or just a segment. In Civil 3D 2012, I create styles and add labels through the annotate tab, but I can only selct the line or curve in its entirety. There must be a way to easily label portions of a line or multiple segments as one line.

I'm currently plotting a site plan with different zones highlighted in a solid hatch. Each zone has a different colour and all zones are slightly transparent so i can see the site plan underneath.
The problem is that when transparency box is ticked , the site plan becomes more faded.Is there a way where I can use the transparency tool but keep the original line weights of the site plan.
I would like to set the highlighted surface under angle I pointed in the screenshot number 2 ( I drew black line how I would like to do that) how to start with it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHow do I pick a part to balloon it when the line is actually two parts beside each other? eg a wall sheet welded to a square column. I can 'toggle" between the two but am unable to pick the other part so continually get the item balloon for the part I don't want.

Have a drawing that contains about 200 layers. When I open the layer dialog box, about 50 of the layers are highlighted in light blue. The layers appear to behave normally. Why they are highlighted?

When picking multiples files, to bring in xrefs, I can pick them, but some of the other in the office can not, it want let them pick more then one file at a time.
I found a strange behavior of AutoCAD. When I was modifying a drawing and adding dimension annotation, there suddenly come some small circles as highlighted in yellow in the screenshot.

First, there is no way I can't select them.
Second, zooming doesn’t change their size.
What these small circles are? How to get rid of them?

I always use curves with no problem, but, adjustments isn't highlighted.
My eyedropper started picking the wrong color! I ahve reset and reinstalled PS - and still have this problem. No matter what color I click the eyedropper on, it picks a shade darker than what I want. Like I said, I am running PS CS6 on OS Mountain Lion.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm working with the Color Picker and I select a green color on the left side square and I now want to pick other colors with the same level of lightness/darkeness and saturation for other shapes. Do I just leave the circle in the same position on the left side square and move the slider on the right side to a blue or red to get colors that work well together?
If so, by doing this, how are these colors described? Hues with the same lightness and saturation levels?
This has happened during a few different projects I've had:
Short Version: I'm just trying to make sure that the colored box prints the exact same color as the PDF's color and it's not.
Long Version: Say I'm given a PDF, it's a poster, and it needs to have bleed (a border around it) added. I'll open Illustrator, put the PDF in there, and use a colored box for the additional bleed/border I'm adding. I'll use the eye dropper, click on part of the PDF - it'll give me the color of that spot. I'll take that color and apply it to the colored box, it changes color.
The issue is that sometimes, that color the eye dropper picks up doesn't actually match the PDF's true color. I can fill in the colored box with whatever color the eye dropper picks up, but it's often a weird color, like with CMYK number values being at 98.35% or something And even when the color value on the PDF and box are the same, you can see a slight difference between that colored box and the real PDF.
I'll even export that to a PDF and make sure it's correct, using the Object Data Tool or whatever it is, and then using the eye dropper there, and seeing that the color for my box and the PDF are at the same CMYK color values. And you can still see it's incorrect very slightly, and then when you print it it's obviously not the same. Even when I try picking it up in HSB or RGB, it's no good.
Having changed the watched files folder, when I add a file, Elements picks it up immediately. However, I previously loaded a lot of files on e without realising Elements was only watching c. What is the best way to pick up those new files? (I don't think I can delete tham and start again.)
Just get the media from the file, it imports it all then says it didn't import the old stuff as it was already in the catalogue. really should think about this more before I do anything.
I edited a picture and saved it in the same directory, as a PNG. On my next launch of Lightroom (2.1), I right-clicked on the folder and said "Synchronize folder". The file still isn't shown in Lightroom. If I pick "Show in Finder" on the folder, the PNG is right there and it opens up just fine in Preview when double-clicked.

If I have a psd file with 10 layers, sometimes I want to quickly move an element around but, regardless of what layer I'm working on, or which layer is selected, my "selection tool" will grab whatever layer is the top one, or the whole "group" is the layer is in one, instead. So, usually, I have to reorder my layers to make the adjustment and then reorder them again.

To that end I have a mapping software that given the initial and final location of the trip it will create a map displaying the route traveled with a highlighted mark on the map along the route taken.
