Just upgraded to CS6 form CS5 and the Jog Wheel is gone a tool I use all the time and moving the line head by was far too imprecise to mark clips. How can you move slowly through a clip?

I want to move the playhead every scroll-'click' by 15 frames for example.
Pinnacle Studio had that feature, worked really fast.

I always use Adobe Bridge CS5 when I need to see a fosmag on the effects in After Effects CS5, but can not get it to work and then I can also see the Video Transitions in Adobe Premiere CS5
Syncing in plural eyes is good with our pro res files, but when I try and sync with some mp3 files from a zoom h1 recorder it goes black at the bottom of the timeline and responds really buggy.

I used to have a color flow chart that depicted what colrs made what, and it was very handy--told me what colors made flesh tones, shades, tints, nuetrals, opposites, what 3 colors made 1 color etc., but I've lost it somewhere along the line.
If there is a way to set hotkeys for the steering wheel functions like 'orbit around pivot' and the steering wheel zoom (which is different from the normal zoom).
Using the steering wheel is WAY too slow, so it would be great if it was possible to map these functions to hotkeys.
Occasionally when I try to zoom with the mouse wheel it just won't let me to. I have to pan around and then it'll let me zoom again. That's extremely irritating. I've never encountered such problem in previous versions of Max. I have the service pack and both hotfixes installed.

I can use this to scroll vertically in all apps, and it will also allow me to scroll menus in 3ds Max. I would like a vertical scroll to vertically scroll the design when I am zoomed in and some of the design continues beyond the current view. View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't mean the Zoom Tool, but simple zoom in/out operations. I seem to recall that the default behaviour in Photoshop was that you zoomed with Ctrl+mousewheel scrolling, and if you just scrolled, then the picture would pan up/down (vertically). And you could untick the "Zoom with scroll wheel" option if you didn't want Ctrl+scroll to mean "zoom".
However for a while now, having that option ticked seems to mean that scrolling (with no Ctrl) is all it takes to zoom in/out, and if you untick the option then you need to press Alt+scroll to zoom; in either case, there is no shortcut for panningup/down.
Anyway, whether this was really ever the case or not, my question is: is it somehow possible to make it so Ctrl+scroll zooms and (simple) scroll pans vertically?
Just remind me again and crush my dreams, but the [ and ] cannot be mapped to the mouse wheel, can they?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI used to do this all the time. Now I cant remember how to do it properly, if possible a screenshot of how to do the maths in the Parameter wiring box. Getting the circle to travel along this line without scripting.
What should have been a 5 minute job has turned into about an hour.
I have modeled a car and rigged it fully with roll, till, steer, and wheels spinning. Then I realized that my steering wheel wasn't involved in the animation and when I linked it's rotation to the rotation parameter of the steering wheel to the x position of the steering rig (the red circle in front of the wheels) the steering wheel rotates in a rather bizarre way. So I tried everything I could find on the net to solve this problem, from turning the rotation from Euler to TCB (that didn't work), then I added a dummy into affect and that didn't work either.
I rotated the dummy inline with the steering wheel and aligned it's pivot points to the steering wheel, the wheel seems to rotate nicely when I rotate the dummy. But it all falls apart once I link up the steering rig to the dummy.
Also to note, it seems impossible for me to select the "wire parameter" option from the steering wheel, it seems I have to originate this link somewhere else to the steering wheel for the link to be made possible. Could it be because the steering wheel was a different file and merged in later on?
