Photoshop :: Moving Sliders In CS6 With Mouse Wheel?
Oct 19, 2012In CS3 after clicking onto the slider "triangle" I can then adjust it with the mouse wheel. I don't appear to be able to do this in CS6. Can this be remedied?

Photoshop :: Sliders Getting Stuck To Mouse After Release (Mac OS)
Jan 3, 2012When dragging various sliders in Photoshop CS5, very often these sliders get "stuck" and move with the mouse even though you have released the mouse. Say you are dragging a slider to set the brush opacity to 50%. When you have set it to 50%, you release the mouse and move it away from the slider, only to find that the opacity still increases or decreases as you move your mouse. You have to click again to fix this, but then of course you have to go back and do it again.
Below is a small illustration (I can't take a screenshot of my mouse) of an example of when this happens:
This happens to me around once every 5 times I use a slider, i.e. extremely often. As you can imagine, it's very annoying and frustrating.I use a Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet, and I never use Photoshop without it so I cannot confirm whether this bug happens with a mouse or just the tablet.It doesn't just happen like on the above illustration, but also with any slider such as those in Adjustment Layers and Filters.The bug does not happen when using tools on the canvas. So the Brush tool, and every other tool, works fine and never gets "stuck".I have the latest version of Photoshop CS5.This is a bug that has always been in CS5 since the first version, and it has not been in previous versions of Photoshop.

Jan 3, 2014I used to be able to control the sliders on my earlier Adobe Elements with my middle wheel on my mouse but on installing 12 version this does not seem to work any more, which is a great pity as it was so precise.

Mar 16, 2009I don't mean the Zoom Tool, but simple zoom in/out operations. I seem to recall that the default behaviour in Photoshop was that you zoomed with Ctrl+mousewheel scrolling, and if you just scrolled, then the picture would pan up/down (vertically). And you could untick the "Zoom with scroll wheel" option if you didn't want Ctrl+scroll to mean "zoom".
However for a while now, having that option ticked seems to mean that scrolling (with no Ctrl) is all it takes to zoom in/out, and if you untick the option then you need to press Alt+scroll to zoom; in either case, there is no shortcut for panningup/down.
Anyway, whether this was really ever the case or not, my question is: is it somehow possible to make it so Ctrl+scroll zooms and (simple) scroll pans vertically?

Apr 15, 2013I'm using CS6 on windows 7-64bit with a keyboard and a mouse. I have a problem with the default functionality of the "Alt" key in windows 7. For those of you that are familiar with the default functionality of the alt key in windows 7, please skip to the next paragraph. For those of you not familiar, pressing the alt key in most programs in windows will highlight the toolbar so that you can use the keyboard to make selections within your "File", "Edit", "View", etc. toolbars if your mouse goes dead.
My problem is that I use the Alt + Mouse Scroll for zoom all the time. I rely on that feature probably more than I should. Yes, I could use cntrl + or cntrl - for zoom but that means I have to take my right hand off my mouse and I use photoshop 8+ hours a day some days. Time is of the essence to complete projects by the deadline.
I've tried disabling the default alt function in windows 7 (didn't work because you can't without third pary openware). I've tried duplicating the shortcut in the Edit - Keyboard Shortcuts menu (didn't work because it doesn't recognize the mouse scroll).
Photoshop :: Background Changes When Zoom In / Out With Mouse Wheel - Windows 8?
Oct 10, 2012I found an annoying bug using photoshop cs6 with win 8 pro.
It only happens when i'm working on a file with layer. When I zoom in or out with the mouse wheel the background suddenly changes from gray to black or "trasparent" multiple times.
Already tried updating vga drivers and disabling gpu acceleration, with no results.
Photoshop :: When Moving Dark Or Light Value Sliders - Also Move Midrange?
Sep 21, 20121.) When moving the the dark or light value sliders, why does it also move the midrange slider? Aren't midrange values independent of light or dark values?
2.) I understand that every histogram is different and there is no right histogram. With that said, it does show if an image is too dark or too light and if I am just aiming for a good balance I am dragging the white slider to the left to lighten it up, and I am dragging it to where the histogram is just touching the bottom. Is there also some guideline to follow for the midrange slider where I can look at the histogram and determine which way to drag the slider?

I tried changing the wheel function in Control Panel... unfortunately Pan isn't an option for "program specific" functions. The ACAD help section lists pan as the only function with the wheel button.

Aug 8, 2013When moving the sliders the image becomes blurry until the slider is stopped. You do not see the change until the slider is at rest. This occured in the early LR 5.0 beta version but eventually went away in the final. I really do not like this effect.

Mar 23, 2012My laptop died recently and I had to get a new one then reinstall my AutoCAD 2010 software. Trouble is the mouse wheel no longer zooms or, when held down, pans any more. I have spent the last couple of hours trying to sort this but to no avail - nothing happens when I use the mousewheel at all. SO frustrating as I use this all the time!

Jun 7, 2012I just got a new pc upgrade so I'm walking through everything to see if it all works. Now when I double click my mouse wheel, nothing happens where before it would zoom extents. I'm using a MS Wireless Mouse 5000 with AutoCAD 2013.
I played around with programming the mouse buttons directly, but I couldn't get it to work right. I don't see anything in AutoCAD about a setting for mouse wheel double click. All I see is that it just says that double clicking the mouse wheel should execute the zoom extents command.

May 7, 2008I've just started with Inventor 2009 and have found that you as default you cannot orbit around by pressing in the mouse scroll wheel, holding ctrl (or shift) and moving around.
