Jun 25, 2012Along my corridor I have different assemblies I used. My sidewalk is curb side in some locations and in different locations there is a boulevard between the curb and sidewalk. I want to transition between these different assemblies and I want that transition to show up in the cross sections I cut. Isn't there a way to tell Civil 3D to transition from one assembly to the next one as you could in Eagle Point?

Dec 19, 2013In attached file the normal cross slope of secondary road(AB) is 2% Right to left (Right higher). and for primary road cross slope is 2% Left to Right (Left higher). I produced this junction using intersection wizard and cross slope of secondary road only starts changing from start of curb return to match the long slope of primary road. Is this possible to increase this transition lentgh on secondary road to create smooth contours.

May 16, 2012I have an assembly that contains a basic lane tranisition with a retaining wall next to the road. I have created an alignment for the lane transition to follow but the wall stays in the same place. Shouldn't the wall move with the lane transition? The sub assembly are inserted connecting each other. what am I missing?

Jan 13, 2014It used to be that when rendering a timeline, there would be no lag between rendering the first and second videos. Now, between each video there is about a 30 second transition before the next video begins rendering. Anything that would have caused this, or is there anyway to prevent it? If I am rendering a timeline with 60 clips that need rendering, this can add a significant amount of time.

Jan 15, 2014I've now had this happen with two completely separate projects today where I preview my edit, everything looks and sounds good, but then when I export there's a clear audio stutter wherever I used a constant power audio tansition.

Jun 3, 2013I see that all but the first 7 seconds of the edited clips on the timeline are now cross-hatched. There's no video or sound when I scrub over the cross-hatched portion. I've tried removing all effects and transitions but no joy. There are several other sequences in this project which are all working normally.

Feb 14, 2014Cross dissolve will not fade out clips correctly. It gets down to 10-15% opacity on the last frame and that's the lowest it goes. During playback, you can see how abrupt the fade is.
Ticking the "Composite in Linear Color" sometimes improves it, but it's still not a smooth fade. Why is it that I can manually add opacity keyframes to fix this problem (regardless of "comp"), but cross dissolve cannot do a smooth fade?
The following are screenshots of the last frame before the clip ends. The cross dissolve is 30 frames long.My system is i5, 560GTX, CUDA enabled, PP CC 7.2.1, Windows 8.1.

With a white background, comp enabled is a bit better, but you can still see the content. I'd expect another frame or two before a complete fade. Black background, last frame, Composite not enabled:
Again, I'd expect another frame or two before total darkness. Oddly enough, after adding and deleting opacity keyframes and switching comp on and off, I managed to get a nice smooth fade with comp OFF with the above example. Some kind of bug? Jan 8, 2013My keyboard has a zoom key with + and - selections. I use to use this key in drawings to zoom in and out when in the AutoCAD application when we had Windows XP. Now that I have Windows 7 I can't do this. I can't find out how to assign this key on the Microsoft Keyboard interactive software either. I have the other keys assigned as desired.
Can I still use my keyboard zoom key to zoom in and out in drawings? If so, how do I set this up in AutoCAD, or do I need to do this through a Microsoft keyboard application?

Feb 15, 2006I use Photoshop CS2 to create Designs for webpages. These designs have pixel-exact elements, e.g. a 1-pixel-line from top to bottom.
Now when I zoom in (>100, then I have sort of anti-alias, so that the 1-pixel-line isn't only one blue anymore, but it has different blue tones. I guess for photo manipulations etc. this anti-aliasing zoom is great, but for webdesign it sucks because I don't know if only the zoom make the line "corrupt" or if it really is corrupt.
Is there a way to change this zoom?

A friend of mine installed Photoshop CS for me (an upgrade from 7.0) and for some reason I can't use CTRL + and CTRL - to zoom in and out, I have to use the mouse with the zoom tool which slows me down quite a bit over the course of 20 or so photo edits.
Can anyone shed some light on this? I checked Keyboard shortcuts in the preferences menu and they were correct. I've made no other changes to the program.
Photoshop :: Transition The Background
May 27, 2012I have a picture of the sun behind a mountain, where I can see in black the mountain itself and then the colors of the sky. I have a larger background (I need it) and I need to transition the background so that it seems it is the same image as the sunset.
In other words, I expect that the background will not be completely black, but rather getting darker as I move away from the sunset, so that I will look like one larger picture. The image can explain it better.

Sep 17, 2011I just added 3 new blue fx transition packages to VS Pro X4 and have others to add ( boris, canopus, adorage).... I noticed that the first 2 new blue packages ( 3d explosions and 3d transformations) were successfully added to their own category in the drop down list of transition effects, so now the list includes the new blue sampler that Corel provided, and both these additional packages. When I added the third package New Blue Paint Blends, it did not appear in its own category but the effects are present when you click on "all".... ( which is a nuisance to search through). I'm wondering if the problem that existed in VS2 where by there were a limited number of transition categories you could have is still a problem in VS pro X4 or whether this is an issue just for Paint Blends. I'd like to know before I add on the other packages... I hate for all the effects ( 100s of them) to end up in my "all" list.
Also is there any way to manipulate this list... and force a location?? I can only see that all the effects are listed individually in the Vfx_plug folder.
