Premiere Pro :: Exporting Stuck At 0% And File Size Big

Mar 28, 2014

I'm trying to export my video game footage that I took. Which was captured in 60fps, 1920x1080, 48khz. I'm trying to export at h.264, 60fps, vbr 2 pass.

My concern is that when I increase the target bitrate the file size increases a lot. I left it at 10 atm and the estimated file size is at 1430MB. Now I've watched videos on YouTube, on Adobe Premiere export settings for gameplay footage and their file size is under 100MB with just about the same output settings as mine. I've tried exporting in Premiere but it just gets stuck at 0%, Adobe Media Encoder works but the estimated completion time is around 4 hours. When I watched those exporting videos it was almost instantly completed when he hit the export button. I could just wait 4 hours for every video I make but that's just not efficient. So I'm just curious on any solutions to my problem.

Could it be my computer specs? I mean I'm able to play games like Skyrim completely fine but it's not like I was recording a game such as that. I was recording an old Gamecube game for goodness sake.

Premiere Pro :: Exporting A Larger File Size Than What Started With

Jan 18, 2014

Using Premiere Pro CS6, I'm trying to figure out why it's doing this:

I imported a video into a new sequence and made sure to match the sequence settings with the video's.  I do some basic editing (not adding more video or anything like that) but when I choose to export media and have it match the sequence settings, the video appears to have the exact same attributes as the original video (minus my changes) except the file size is 2-5x larger.

Premiere Pro :: Slow Transition Between Rendering Videos?

Jan 13, 2014

It used to be that when rendering a timeline, there would be no lag between rendering the first and second videos. Now, between each video there is about a 30 second transition before the next video begins rendering. Anything that would have caused this, or is there anyway to prevent it? If I am rendering a timeline with 60 clips that need rendering, this can add a significant amount of time.

Premiere Pro :: Some Videos Clips Stuttering In Preview

Sep 28, 2013

I tried reimporting the video and translating it to another format, I've rendered it fully, and deleted temp files and re-rendered it. I rebuilt the video from scratch in a new sequence created from the clip (all clips were screencaptured using Camstudio so they're the same exact format as each other.

But I still have constant problems with videos not playing properly in preview. The last time I had this problem, they rendered that way too. When I hit the spacebar to view the video, it shows a bit of the video, then rewinds and plays the same section over and over, moving a little further forward each time. Basically "rubberbanding".

It's Premiere Pro CS 5.5.2
Win 7 64
No third party codecs.

I have plenty of hard drive space and 8 gb of ram. I do have browsers open which use a lot of memory, but all the other clips are working so that doesn't seem like it should be an issue.I'm not using any kinds of plugins or third-party things.

Shutting other memory hogging programs and restarting Premiere.Things that seem to hurt: using the time slider to increase or decrease speed of the video.

Premiere Pro :: Videos Are Stuck In Fast Forward?

I opened up a new project to edit and imported my raw video.  When I dropped a clip onto the timeline and played it, it played as if I put in it fast forward (which I did not). This happened with all of my video clips and I even imported a video clip I recently edited, that did not do that when I originally edited it, but it also plays in fast forward.

Premiere Pro :: Exported Videos - Some Good - Some Missing Transitions?

Mar 7, 2014

When I export a video, I export to DVD, BLURAY, MP4 for Vimeo, and 2 Master Archives at ProRes 422 and AVC-I 100 all at one time. So like 4 or 5 versions of the same video. Been doing this for years with no issues really. Most of the time the exports all appear to be fine. Now all of a sudden every once in a while one or two of the exports will have one or two transitions missing. Bizaar. And disturbing because some of the videos are over an hour and I can't afford to watch all of the various copies to see if some are missing transitions and some are not. The timeline has no issues. There are lots of cross dissolves and the exported videos look great. But a few times lately one or two of the videos will just be missing one of the cross dissolves right in the middle of the video. It'll cut to black and then fade up the 2nd clip instead of blending the two. The other 2 or 3 videos will look fine and have no issues.

Running 2011 iMac 3.4GHz i7 with 16GB RAM, 120GB SSD (OS and Program), Scratch files on a 256GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD, and exports going to an  OWC External RAID0 HDD connected via Thunderbolt adapter. Footage is AVCHD 720p60 edited natively on a 24p timeline.

Doesn't happen everytime, but seems to be happening more often.

I would also like the format that I use to prevent user edits or tampering. If so what format is the best to use for the requirements presented?

Premiere Pro :: Creating Multiple Videos From Chapter Or Encore Markers In A Project

Jan 7, 2014

Re: Adobe Master Suite CS6 and specifically PPro CS6.  I am trying to find any information on using my chapter or encore markers in a sequence to create multiple videos using the markers and doing this in Media Encoder.  It is a music video I want to split into 22 separate videos based on the start point for each song.  It is such a natural thing to want to do this that I would at least have expected to see a comment to the contrary if it is not capable of being done in the manner I am suggesting.  I would expect to be able to do a dynamic link to the sequence and be able to split the file in a fashion similar to Encore which imports the sequence as a series of chapter points I then use to create my DVD.

Illustrator :: How To Delete Original Path And Anchors

Jan 19, 2013

Level: Newbie  OS: Windows 7 64bit   Ia: Cs6

in short ...

I have made two objects, a vertical elongated ellipse with a circle placed on top that covers a bit of the ellipse and then i made a mask via Ctrl + 7

afterward I want to select the path of the circle and then use the Offset path twice to create two new paths but i want to Delete the first/original path.

however, no matter what i try i cannot seem to Delete the original path.  ????

i have searched the manual, FAQ's and even used Google to try and find an answer.

I don't know if i am not asking the right question(s) or what but it seems as though a path cannot be deleted.

after doing ... say ... selecting the path in the layers panel and then clicking the trash can icon at the bottom of the layers palette the Edit menu will indeed say that the path has been deleted ... but ... when i hover over the area ~ the path is STILL there!!??

paths cannot be deleted? i would think if they could be that the manual would have some sort of info.

i find things like ... how to delete part of a path, how to delete anchors ... i mean everything but what i need to know.

Premiere Pro :: Change Original Source Files In Project?

Mar 27, 2014

I have a project which has become very disorganized over the last year of editing due to PPs poor ability to effectively share sequences/projects across multiple computers. My assistant editor used a different computer and so the links in the sequences point to multiple "source" files in the project (some in imported folders). However, there is ultimately only one original video clip. The problem is that Premiere Pro won't allow me to delete the nested versions of the source files without also REMOVING the clips in each of the sequences that uses them. For example, the project folder looks like this:

- Original File Folder
-- videoClip-001.mov

- Imported File Folder (imported on one of the many exchanges between editor and assistant editor)
-- videoClip-001.mov

- Sequence version 1 (Uses the second video clip, not the first - although they are ultimately the same video file)

If I delete the Imported File Folder, which only has a mirrored reference to the same video file as in the Original File Folder, then the clip in Sequence Version 1 dissapears. What I expect, rather, is to see a "missing media" message in the sequence so I can reconnect it to the version in the Original File Folder. But I can't. BIG HOLE in Premiere Pro CC.

Why do I want to do this? In a large project with hundreds of video clips, keeping order is very important. With the sequences using multiple "versions" of the same video clip, that order goes down the tubes and it becomes impossible to work.
