PremierePro CS6 was working fine until I updated an unrelated dll file for another (audio editing) program.
The file is a VST: Kontakt 5 8out.dll (Native Instruments).
Although PremierePro is suppose to be able to use 3rd party VSTs they usually crash for me so I export the audio, edit it, then reimport it.
How can I start PPro bypassing all plugins, then disable them?
I've had Gimp 2.8.6 for awhile now but suddenly within the past week it has begun to freeze during the startup process. It will get to 'loading fonts' and then it will stop. I don't have any extra fonts, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, and I've also tried installing previous versions and then updating them but nothing seems to be working.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Lightroom starting freezing recently. It says the program is not responding. I was on the phone with Tech Support two days ago. They re-loaded the program and I re-imported the catalog and it worked as usual, but today again the same problem surfaced; upon start-up of the program it locks up and if I click anywhere in the Lightroom window it says the program is not responding and whites out moments later a Window's message says the program is not responding giving me choices of "Close the program" or wait till it responds, which it never does. I see others that are having a similar issue with 4.2 . I have a Gareway computer with Windows 7 64 bit.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWindows did do an update. The 32 bit version runs fine and yesterday I had no issues with anything. I guess I am asking if the Windows update could have killed it. I have removed and reinstalled. I also pulled all my filters.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI experienced this issue with Gimp 2.6 whenever I had a lot of brushes in the brush folder. The only way I found to avoid the problem was to have less brushes in it. As a result, I never got to really use all of them like I had intended to.
The current version I'm using is 2.8. I updated Gimp because I saw the tagging system. I figured it'd be easier to locate the brushes I want to use. The program worked fine up until I added more folders to the brush folder to take advantage of the tagging system. Now the start-up freezes and crashes when it's updating the tagging cache.
In general, Gimp seems to get mad at me when I add a crap ton more than it's comfortable with.

When I am go to "File > Print" the print screen begins to load and then completely freezes. The default printer is set to "Brother GT-541". This is a digital garment inkjet printer. If I switch the default printer to something else, the print screen will load without issue. If I then change the destination printer in the drop-down menu to "Brother GT-541" it will freeze. Once Illustrator is frozen, I need to force quit in order to get back into Illustrator.
I contacted the company we purchased the Brother GT-541 from - to see if they were aware of any issues. There were none - but they explained that they have no customers who use CS4, most all of them use CS3 or prior. They advised that I update the Brother GT-541 printer driver, which I did - and it turned out to be no luck.
I am running LT 2012 and it keeps freezing at the Loading customiztion files point... This locks the whole pc and I need to do a hard reset.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a drawing that I've been working off and on now for a couple of months and is particularly large (48MB). I have finally put togther a concept in it which took me two days and when I tried to RENDER, AutoCad crashed. All is still when until I tried to reopen the drawing, AutoCad loaded the drawing until 99% and froze. I tried the .bak and that crashed AutoCad. I also tried the .bak from an hour earlier and that didn't work. Here are the steps I've taken so far:
-Opened drawing and .bak(s) in TrueView, converted to Standard, Opened the drawing in TrueView (no problems) and tried to open in AutoCad....same old issues.
-Tried inserting drawing as a block in a new drawing (crashed AutoCad)
What I can do? Everything opens fine in Trueview?? I can resort to older files but that would be difficult. Below are my computer specs.

I have an image that loads every time I startup Photoshop CS6. I delete it and work on other images then quit. When I restart the same image opens upon startup even though I have not worked on it and I have deleted it. How do I stop this from happening?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI bought a full copy of Videostudio Pro X4 about a month ago after experimenting with the trial version for a good while, and it was all running smoothly until I was adding some rain effects to a rather large movie, and it said something along the lines of not enough space to load something, and then all the FX thumbnails disappeared. When i closed the program and tried to reopen it, it said "Error loading from stream" followed by a "Videostudio Pro has encountered an unspecific error and needs to close, please contact Corel Support and include a copy of the Dump file.". And now every time I try to load the program it gives me this error, and thats without loading the actual project that the file had the initial error on. All the files within the folder were captured via VS either as Video or as Stop-Motion so are under the default settings as I havent changed them or converted them atall.
I cant find anything on the knowledge base about this, and neither on these forums. I'm unsure how I send the Dump File, which I have found to Corel? I'm abit confused from the warranty support bit of the page where it says about having a one-off chance to contact them? So obviously I dont want to mess up my one chance so thought I'd check here what to do next!
A re-install of the program seems the logical next step but will I lose my project?
When I start up my GIMP in windows, it indexes the fonts every first time that I start after a reboot.I am using windows 7, is there anyway to tell gimp not to index the fonts ?

They are loaded from a trusted location.
Ever since I updated to Mavericks on my Mac, Premiere Pro keeps freezing on me when I try to view file in folders through the Media Browser. I'm sure it's a Mavericks issue, but I can't reinstall all of my apps, nor do I have the time. Apple doesn't seem to respond to my questions (they get lost in there 1 million questions a day) discussion page.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to the Creative Cloud from CS6. Whenever I load up Premiere CC, it opens the welcome window like always, which normally lists all of my recent projects. But since I've upgraded, my recent projects don't show up on the welcome screen or in the file menu under Open Recent. If I have Premiere open and open several projects during a single session, those will all show up under Open Recent in the File menu. However, as soon as I close Premiere and open it up again, I lose all of my recent projects.
View 30 Replies View RelatedI am new to working with bigger projects in Premiere, I moved from FCP last year. I am currently editing a show which is based of Line recorded cameras.
I have 6 Tracks of video, plus mulitple audio tracks and 2 hrs long
My problem. Having made and lifted my selects in the timeline I now am finding the timeline to be very unresponsive to the point of pinwheeling even just to open the sequence. I can't zoom, move or edit anything in this timeline without a pinwheel and a 30 second delay. None of my other sequences are having this issue. All are the same codec.
Is there a way to set up larger sequences so that this does not happen? I find premiere 7.1 is fine until I build bigger sequences/projects. My inital thought was drive speed, however the issues only arose when I had lifted all the selects.
Could it be that I have too many tracks of video for premiere to handle? I have no problem playing the timeline (although it will initally pinwheel) its mainly navigation/clip selction along the timeline which causes an issue
I tried multicam also but that had too many issues
I work on a 2012 Mac Pro 2.4 Ghz 12-cores with 12 GB ram 9 of which is allocated to premiere. I also have my working caches on a dedicated single 3.5" 7200 rpm drive 1gb graphics card.
I'm using Premiere CS6 and I have a AVI file that loads video just fine, but no audio. In windows movie maker, the same file loads audio, but no video. VLC Player can play the file perfectly (audio and video) so I clearly have the right codecs installed.
I ran a program called gspot on the file, and it identified the video codec as "xvid", and the audio codecs as - "ac3 (0x2000) Dolby Laboratories, Inc". Is it possible to just point adobe to whatever codec VLC is using? I copy this "ad2ac3dec.dll" file into the root premiere pro directory. But it didn't work for me (I put the dll in my Adobe/Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 directory).
I was using it for a class on my computer and decided to add some stuff to hopefully add things I didn't know how to do on my own and now I can't seem to open premiere. So I browsed for fx factory stuff and downloaded it and installed the free-plugins through that. Now it seems like premiere gets stuck on the quicktime exporter host. is there any way to fix this so that i can use it again? I'd really like to be able to finish my project, since I don't want to go back to imovie..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had this problem since switching over to Premiere, and continue to have it since upgrading from CS6 to CC. I can't believe this is actually how Premiere is supposed to work. It's a global thing, not specific to a single project. But I'll use my current project as an example:
I have about 4 hours of media, mostly P2 Avc-Intra, with some R3D as well. Total number of media clips: around 2600.Every time I open the project, it takes a thoroughly horrific amount of time for the media to finish loading (as evidenced by the "Loaded" status message at the bottom of the screen, and the "Media Pending" screen display on still-pending clips). On this particular project, for example, it takes 12 minutes for the media to finish loading. It doesn't take many crashes or reboots per day before the re-loading process eats up a significant chunk of my billable hours.
I've tried having the media cache in the internal drive/Adobe/Common directory, and I've deleted that and set the media cache for the external Thunderbolt media RAID. Same results either way.
System specs: OS 10.7.5 iMac 2.7 GHz Core i5 20 GB RAM P Pro 7.1.0 (though, as I said, it has been like this in CS6 as well)RADEON 6770M
Hardware Mercury acceleration is not an option (grayed out), so that's turned off.Results are the same regardless of whether I have the RED Rocket card connected.
Once I render and save a project, exit out, and come back in, the rendered files that I "saved" are not rendered. This all happened after the mavericks software update

Both are referencing cooltype.dll. I ran Font Doctor on all system and non-system fonts and found no errors. Booted without Extensis Suitcase loading. Nothing works. All 32 bit programs work fine.
my animation takes around two seconds to load within my browser. Is there a way to display a loading symbol such as spinning circle, that will show the animation is loading, then disappear once it is ready to display?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm currently working on a site which is almost 95% complete. The loading time for the site is approx 7-10 seconds which seems to be slow. I have placed a preloader but that doesn't seem to be coming up while the site is loading.
Is there anyway to speed up the loading time. Like some code that will tell it load specific number of frames first and then load the rest in the background?

Syncing in plural eyes is good with our pro res files, but when I try and sync with some mp3 files from a zoom h1 recorder it goes black at the bottom of the timeline and responds really buggy.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm running the Adobe Photoshop CS3 trial on a HP Pavillion tx2000z (2 gig ram) in Vista. I'm on day 14 and suddenly it doesn't work anymore.
When I open it, it lets me open a photo or create a new canvas. Then, I can do one thing-like create a type layer/mask, a fill layer, etc etc. After that, all the options in all the menus become unclickable, except 'open recent,' but I can't select an option within that menu, so a lot of good that is. It won't even let me save unless I exit the program, in which case it brings up the "are you sure you don't want to save before you quit" dialogue box.
I originally thought that it was part of the trial that I would lose these features.
I realize that if it was part of the trial, I would be able to click "Activate" or "Register."
Have a problem with Photoshop 7 freezing sometimes when I use any of the painting tools, then have to restart the computer. Running Mac, OS 9.2.2, 500mb ram.
