Photoshop :: Look Of File PS6 Icon Keeps Changing With Little Logo Inside?
May 17, 2012
I usually have full icons for my files, but for some reason my Photoshop CS6 file icons keep getting turned into the white icons with a little "PS" logo inside. I am using Windows 7 Professional edition on a 64-Bit Desktop.
The icon shouls be a full icon similar to the following (I know this is an After Effects icon - but is just to show an example of what I meant by a full file icon).
I have a PSD file that has a logo in white against a black background. I know how to change the black background to another color but I do not know how to change the white logo to another color and maintain the existing fade effect. The outer edges of the white logo fade into the black background.  If I was to change the black background to a green background (#808A53) then I would like to know how to make the white logo fade into the then green background.  Ultimately I would like to make the white logo a red color (#7d110c) that fades into a green background (#808A53) but I do not know how to do this as I am a novice with Photoshop.  The PSD file I referred to is hosted here
I've opened a gif file (web icon) which has shades of green. I want to use this on another site of ours which is similar but has shades of orange.
I use the dropper to select the color from a gif on the orange site - so the color is there in the color section box.
When I try to draw / fill on the green gif it ignores the orange color selected and uses a green from green gif. A lighter orange gives a lighter green.
Recreate my logo icon. I lost my original pst and only have the icon that I crop out of png logo. Basically I need to enlarge it to 1024x1024 and when its over the dark background, it has a lite uneven border.
I would like to create a vector icon with a transparent shape inside it, like in this image below: Â So everything should be transparent except of course the dark grey area... Â Below is a link to my AI file if you want it: Â AI File
I have both Photoshop 5.5 and CS2 installed on my machine. The JPEG files all retain the old icon. Can someone tell me how to change the icon to the CS2 icon? I am on a PC with Windows XP.
I've got a logo in jpg format. Right now it's black on white. I'd like to change the white background to the color of my web page (grey) and then take the black "logo" and change it to white.
I've tried this using the fill function and it doesn't look very good.
I'd like it to look like I had the layered file and just "filled" the logo part with white.
re-creating the logo I've attached from scratch so I have more control over the design elements.
I want to remove the "black box" background, I need to change the color and size of the type, and I want to change the aspect ratio of the entire logo so that it stretches wider and is not quite as tall.?
I'm an intermediate PS user, but don't have much experience with type effects.? If someone would be willing to walk me through the process of recreating this, I would be very grateful!? (Note, I'm mostly talking about the text effect... I think I could handle the red line and possibly cloning the sun and flowers out,
I was wondering if there was a graceful way to change a thick stroke or outline in PS CS6? Normally I would be lazy and just use the paint bucket tool, but since this is for a higher profile client than I am used to, and it is a for print project (I normally do web projects) the quality is just not good enough. The lines I want to change are the yellow outlines of the yellow hand in the following logo: Â Currently, the best approach I can think of is going back into AI and changing the outlines and strokes there, however that is going to be a lot of work because of the way in which different objects overlay each other means a lot of slicing, cutting, and moving things around. Is there an easier way to do this in PS?
Tools in the toolbox ... can we somehow change the icon or image representing them? i.e., the, say, Move Tool, can I somehow go in an change the image representing that tool?
There are many examples of creating rectangular patterns, but not many, if any, of interrogating existing patterns.I have attached the files and a screenshot of a rectangular part inside an assembly. The part contains a rectangular pattern of holes and workplanes.how do I get hold of each proxy of the workplane in the pattern? In other words I don't know what to put in the for loop at the end of this code fragment: Â If _invApp.Documents.Count = 0 Then MsgBox("Need to open an the assembly document") ReturnEnd If If _invApp.ActiveDocument.DocumentType <> DocumentTypeEnum.kAssemblyDocumentObject Then MsgBox("Need to have an Assembly document active") ReturnEnd If Dim asmDoc As Assembly Document asmDoc = _invApp.ActiveDocument Dim asmDef As AssemblyComponentDefinition asmDef = asmDoc.ComponentDefinition im occurrences As ComponentOccurrencesoccurrences. [code]....
When i open the control bars dialog the options for changing icon size are always greyed out. Sometimes the menu item for control bars is also greyed out had to close Xara just to access it again. how to control icon size other than at one point it says you can. The actual image it shows in the help files also have all the options for icon size greyed out.
How to change the color of an icon (ex: from black to grey). My problem is that the end result is sometimes an icon that is partially transparent.
Here is what I am doing:
1) I open the image of which I want to change the color (black icon over transparent background) 2) Create a new layer and color this in white. 3) Merge the two layers 4) Create a new layer and color this with the color I want for my icon 5) Go to Colors -> Color to Alpha 6) Select the current color of the icon 7) Click Ok - Now icon color is the wanted color over a white background 8) Create a new layer and leave this transparent 9) Go to Colors -> Color to Alpha 10) Select the white color (current background color). 11) Click Ok - Now icon background is transparent, but icon color is also partially transparent.
Is there a way how I can change the color of an icon without getting the icon color transparent.
I am struggling to understand why Illustrator is changing the values inside the RGB and CMYK boxes. I am also not sure of the exact relationship between these vaues. Essentially, it appears that if you set the Document Color Mode to RGB, it leaves the RGB values that you type in alone. If you set the Document Color Mode to CMYK, it leaves the CMYK values alone. Â But as soon as you change the Color Mode, it automatically modifies the values. So if you were in RGB mode and you set some RGB values, it changes those RGB values when you switch to CMYK mode. And vice versa. Â I had thought that the CMYK palette was a subset of the RGB palette. It would make sense to me if it did this when I switched from RGB to CMYK mode, but it doesn't make sense to me why it does this when I switch from CMYK to RGB mode. Â The other thing I am confused about is the relationship of the values in the RGB boxes to the values in the CMYK boxes. I would have thought that the relationship between them would be static. Actually, it is not. When I am in CMYK mode and I enter a CMYK value of 90 16 0 0, the RGB values become 0 158 222. But when I switch over to RGB mode, the RGB values of 0 158 222 result in CMYK values of 75 23 0 0.
I've created a 2-point persective grid on top of a cube (see image below). I'm tyring to recreate the cube and have started by inserting some purple squares into the right side of the perspective grid. I've drawn an ellipse at the corner of the original cube that I'm trying to copy, to indicate where I need my squares to stretch to. Â How I can stretch my purple squares in perspective so that they match the end of the orignal cube as indicated in the image below? I've tried skewing but this doesn't skew in perspective.
I'm teaching myself 3D from a textbook. The text gives an example of how to create a UCS that is located on a 3D example part from the CD that came with the book; this is done using the UCS command. It also shows how to use the viewport presets. I was able to move the UCS as needed around the part, I was able to use the viewport presets to look at the part from different sizes, but if I created a UCS and then used the preset views, the new UCS I created did not stay oriented, but instead appeared to default to the origin. But when I rotated the part with the mouse without using viewport presets, the UCS stayed put.
I have some text icons on my phone size 48x48.. i am trying to get them chrome / metallic . Is there an easy way 9well easy for me way ) to do it . i have followed this

I am drawing an icon holder for a church. However, I got this problem, where I need to change the width of a piece but keep the height. So scaling wouldn't work as scaling would change both the width and height.
I can't use trim and cut from the middle as there is a block in the middle of it. and if I do that it will cut the block in all location.
I saw that the file icons of the PNG files are not the blue ones (like we all know them, after installing Photoshop CS3), but the default Windows (I'm using Windows XP SP3) icons. I mean like when I don't have a program to open a given file, that is how it looks like. But when I double click on the PNG file it opens right away, so in my eyes there is a problem, of some kind, with the ICO file itself. The strangest thing is that this ICO file is not missing, deleted or moved! This happened only with the PNG files. All other Photoshop related files are ok and have their respective icons. how to change the PNG file icon, so I can choose manually the ICO file.
I need to make some transparent icons for an application I have built, however I can't find the option to save as an icon in Photoshop or Illustrator, I have all the CS3 Standard Products.
Currently I am copying an image from Illustrator to photoshop, I set the background type to Transparent, and I save that file out in photoshop as a PNG, and then I use a program called Ifranview, to save that PNG as an icon, however, instead of being transparent, it has a black background, so I am hoping there is an option in one of the CS3 Standard products, or something else that can save an icon out as transparent.
If I save a Camera Raw manipulated image as a COMPRESSED (LOSSLESS) DNG file it appears back in CS3 Bridge as a DNG Icon and not as a thumbnail. Is there a reason for this and can I get the saved file to appear as a thumbnail.
When I loaded some photo actions into my new PSE11 it show only a generic icon in the effects palette, not the icon from the maker so it takes extra time to search for the action I need. How can I get the icon from the maker to show as the icon in the palette?
