Photoshop displaying image differently on a same screen in different placement. Same image when moved a bit to the left changes image saturation. This is happening only in photoshoop CS6. I have two older versions of photoshoot that are working just fine. No other program is shoving behiever like this. I tried different files jpg .psd .png, same behavior.

Using 2008LT/2012LT...I am working on a job that is being done in phases. I want to show one phase as per pen assignments and other phases in a grayscale. Is there a way to do this when plotting or do I have to change the viewport display individually for the grayscale vps?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've run in to a strange problem since the 4.1 upgrade.When displayed in the Library view, images are not appearing correctly. In my case, there is a huge amount more noise in the Library view compared to the Develop view. This is also affecting Exports.
View 7 Replies View Related[URL]What I want to do is to extract the girl's image and save it with a transparent background as a gif, and then put it up on the web page I've created, which has a dark grey gradient background.
The problem is when I do that, the contour of the girl's image contains a lot of white space and what appears like brush strokes! The white space doesn't show up at all while I'm using the Refine Radius tool on a black background. It also doesn't show up when I save the image as a gif on a dark background layer in Photoshop. It only appears when I save it on a transparent background and display it on my web page!

is there any way to change image placement when dragging it into PS? Now all the images are placing automatically directly in my document (in current tab). I want i to open as a new tab.
I'm using PS 12.1 in Win 7.

If one uses e.g. canvas size and chooses a smaller canvas, normally a panel appears 'the new canvas size is smaller, some clipping will occur, proceed or cancel. Likewise if you print something and its wider than the pagesize, you see a message panel appear, the image is larger..some clipping will occur, proceed/cancel.
These panels have ceased showing, but unless one clicks proceed or cancel on them, photoshop cannot progress,...not responding results. Trouble is you dont know if they have shown up but are hiding. Tried moving the image but it leaves a white space behind and the panel is not behind anyway, or under the main photoshop window.
If you launch e.g. word and print something, then minimise, often the panel then shows itself, from then on its ok ! Until one closes Photoshop then its back to its freezing ways next time after launch until refreshed with Msoft word printing, though that doesnt always resolve it.
It also freezes up when closing images using the X top right of image. I had thought I had spoted a trend to fall over on jpg images but not so I think now.
Tried for a full reinstall, no joy. updated video driver ATI radeon HD3450, the ATI driver wouldnt go on, couldnt find a suitable driver it said !... but the one from the Dell website did, turns out to be the same ! 1/12/2008 8.561.0.0 though ATI have a more recent one Feb 2010.
We also run Sophos antivirus.
I am trying to create image 1000x10px.
Width of col is 130px and second 870px.
They are both colored differently.
I need it to set it as an background of my web site.
The Scale tool from the toolbox behaves differently from Image>Scale Image. What's the difference? Are there circumstances when I want one and not the other? I'm using 2.8.6, Windows 7.

I'm dragging and dropping the images from Finder and about half the time the images are coming in distorted and out of proportion, the other half of the time, they are maintaining their original proportions. What is causing the distortion? Is there someway to control the placement so the image maintains it's original proportions?

I'd like to view Exif data before making the decision to import the capture but can't figure out how to do this. Ideally it would appear as a 'tooltip' when hovering over the image in gridview, or, when looking at a single image it using the "I" key should display image info like it does in other modules of LR4. Are there any plugins that could do that?

Is it possible to override all the colors of an existing *.DWG to a Monochrome Format? I want to be able to open any autocad file and veiw everything in black and white IN MODEL SPACE.
I am not interested in 'changing layer colors' or 'manually changing blocks to the right color.' Right now, I explode the entire drawing (several times depending on how deep something is grouped) and change the color to by layer, but sometimes blocks become contaminated and lose all their data. (In addition, I am not interested in plotting in Monochrome.)
If this task is impossible, is it possible to change the definition of the color "yellow." What I mean by the previous statement is to trick autocad into thinking it is using 'yellow' when it is actually using a different color. Sort of like an induced color blindness.
SUMMARY: I don't want to change a color FROM yellow, I just don't want yellow TO EXIST.
I am having a problem with Photoshop CS5 Extended V 12.1.
The problem:
When I open some files, some shades of BLUE colour is displayed as BLACK However the same file opens and displays correctly if I open it using Photoshop Elements V9.0.3.When I save the file as JPEG and re-open it, the problem returns.Opening the JPEG file in any other application, including PS Elements, does not cause the problem
Source of files The original files came from a Nikon camera, saved in RAW format. It is possible that the original files were corrupted in some way as the shots had an unusual blue cast - which was easily resolved by Photoshop when I originally opened the RAW files.problem is not universal as I've not been able to reproduce it with any other files (RAW or JPEG).
I have calibrated my monitor display settings sRGB IEC61966-2.1 (default)

I downloaded an image of a web template to look at the colours more closely before possibly purchasing it and when I opened the image in CS4 it had a bunch of triangular blocked out areas - kind of like a mask of some sort I think. I then tried creating a new document and opening an existing, unrelated PSD file and now they have the same triangular blocked out areas.

Bridge CS6 does not have the issue;it is showing the menu bars correctly (see Image 2). I downloaded and installed all updates.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a drawing that has an OLE image in the drawing format. In this particular drawing the image is not showing up. The border around the image is there but nothing else. All my layers are on and OLEHIDE is set to 0. Every other drawing I opened that uses the same format is fine.
I have attached the file with just the formats (my company is pretty strict with posting any drawings). The image should appear in the bottom left corner.
I changed from windows 8 to 8.1 the other night and have just opened Lr5 today for the first time since and I my image details are there but no preview is shown, the Lr catalog is still in the same place and following its path.

when I send an image from Lightroom 4.3 to Photoshop CS6 (CMD+E), it renders slightly differently. I notice Photoshop (CR) seems to not apply the lens correction profile I apply in Lightroom. Sometimes it seems the luminosity of the image too is slightly off, but updating the image preview in Lightroom seems to fix this (but not the lens profile issue). I thought it was a monitor color profile problem, but what has it to do with the lens profile correction? To me, it just seems Photoshop renders the dng differently than Lightroom.
I'm on a Mac and everything is updated to the latest release (both Adobe and OSX), so I don't think there should be a compatibility problem between software versions..
I'm having a bit of trouble with Photoshop. Colors are displayed differently, than in other programs (Paint, Firefox etc...), which makes it impossible for me to design anything. I tried restoring my settings by holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift on start up and it's still the same. I also tried re-installing Photoshop.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to bring a lsp routine up to date and it's almost as if I'm a newbie again. A dialog image worked okay in 2005 but in version 2012 displays poorly. So I made a new slide in 2012 and saved it to the same name as the old one, HobMasterDialog.sld, and placed it in the same folder as the old one. However, when the dialog appears the rectangular area for the image is blank.
What am I forgetting?
I am making a video in Nero Vision 10 and need to cut out the screen of a tv so that I can layer the TV over an image/video so it looks as though it is on the screen. I enclose a screenshot of the project. 'Transform-tools-crop' only cuts in straight lines so I wonder which device I should use which can cut out an odd bespoke shape? You can see in the uploaded image from the project how the image currently cannot fill the frame without covering it.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI would import a jpg as a smart object into my working doc. If I wanted to make changes to it, I would double click on it int he layer panel and it would open as a .psb. I would make changes and click save and it would update in my original document.
Using this method now, a "save as" window pops up to save my doc as a psd or whatever and when I do, it saves it in some temp folder but it does not update in my original document.
I am running PS7 on an XP SP2 system with 512 MB ram and a slow processor. I have two internal hard drives and have tried many times to assign the scratch disk to my second drive which is the largest and fastest. When I do this, Photoshop will not open and I have to delete the preference file in order to get the program to run. What could be causing Photoshop not to recognize my second drive on startup?
View 17 Replies View RelatedI'm here with 2013 SP2 64 bit Build 200 and two screens. Left screen is graphics area, Browser is on the left of right screen. Graphics is ATI Fire Pro V7800 with driver 9.3.3.3000.
In video (zipped MP4) you see a cutout of both screens, think of screens changing at the left of the browser.
Now, in many cases, after doing an operation, the browser is jumping back to the middle of my graphics in the left screen.
I have been using some tools successfully, but now when I try to use the Healing, Tool, Patch, Type and some others, the image drops off the screen as soon as I place the tool onto the screen. Then I cannot work on the image.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor no apparent reason, some of the images on my computer screen are coming up in odd, bright colors similar to a negative, but not complete. It happens to images I open on independent web sites and images stored on my computer.
When I open some images in Photoshop5, it asks if I want to discard the embedded profile. If I answer yes, the image displays fine. If I answer No, the image colors are distorted. This problem persists on my laptop screen and on the monitor attached to laptop.
I need to silkscreen an image, but can only do one solid color at a time. I'll have a black t-shirt, so that's one color, then red, green, pink and silver to screen onto the shirt. I can only do a max of 4 colors on one background.

How to break this down into 5 cells of color in Photoshop (CS4)? Then I can silkscreen it.
When I select to resize an image the box that opens has drifted off my screen, and it has slowly risen upward more and more. I noticed this about 2 weeks ago and couldnt grab the top bar to bring it down as it was already out of sight. Now everytime I go to resize something it drifts a tad farther, and a tad farther until now it's virtually impossible to see anything and I've been using the blind tab method for making adjustments.
Below are some pictures to demonstrate what exactly is happening. The first one shows where I'm going to select what, the second shows where the box is after it opens.
The third shows me picking a color, and the fourth shows how this problem has spread to that box as well.
