I have been using some tools successfully, but now when I try to use the Healing, Tool, Patch, Type and some others, the image drops off the screen as soon as I place the tool onto the screen. Then I cannot work on the image.
I've just purchased a new HP P6-2469ea - uk desktop pc running Windows 8. There appears to be some compatibility problems with Elements 10. Other programs: iTunes. Office and the reinstalled apps etc are fine but when elements 10 is loaded the CPU usage rockets to sometimes over 90% and consistanty remains at 25% when just sat in organizer. This results in the cursor stuttering and on occasion the screen freezes and sometimes dropping out completely. HP believe it is a compatibility problem. Same program combinations work fine on Windows Vista (64bit) and a macbook pro with Apple's current operating system.
Selecting (in grid view) dragging and dropping image to a new folder copies, not moves image. I want image gone from first folder. It works like that sometimes, but not all athe time.
How to drop one image into another.I belief though am not sure it is called pasting in.I have opened the image into which I want to dropand tried paste into in edit but nothing happened??
I have a layered image. I've been dragging photos onto it without any problems. But... there are two images that are now acting weird. The first is my daughter wearing a bright pink jacket. I can drag this image onto any other PS file, but on the one I'm working it is dropping out some of the pink pixels... and leaving it gray.
Then, I've tried importing a Christmas tree image (I'm working on a scrapbook page... nothing super important, but frustrating nonetheless). It's an illustrator file. I can paste into other PS files and it's fine. But again, in this one, it's stripping out the colors and leaving the tree gray. I've attached three photos... the one of the scrapbook page with the issues, and the two others showing how they SHOULD look. What is causing this? I've used Photoshop for years and have not encountered this before.
I have been using Photoshop since 1989 when it was a proprietary software developed for the long-gone Barneyscan. Even did a book about whaling in Hawai?i using what by then was an alpha version of Photoshop. Still I am, without question, a newbie, as I only use it for very specific tasks involved with designing books?primarily cropping, correcting flaws and color balancing of historic photos. I am using a Mac G4 running Photoshop 7.0
I have a book going off to press?supposedly yesterday?but I have spent hours trying to do what I am sure is a simple task . . . eliminating a background entirely. I have about thirty of these to do and am getting desperate. Here?s the scenario for one, and if I learn the step-by-step, it will work on all the rest. I have an old Matson Navigation logo which is round but was sent to me within a square. It has, in other words, a gray box around it. I want to place the round logo only?without the box?on a photo in InDesign.
Here is how far I have gotten:
Open the file and size the logo. Done.
Go to Layer> Duplicate Layer> Background copy. Done.
Go to Layer> Delete> Layer> Original Background. Done.
Using Magic Wand> Click on box around circle logo. Hit delete key.
Result is gray checkered background.
Using Magic Wand, click on checkered background to trigger marching ants.
Go to Select> Inverse.
I have what I want?just the logo. I need to figure out the last step in Photoshop so that I can save it as a round object only and then Place it in InDesign.
I'm working at a new job, on a machine running PS 5.1, running OS 10.8.5 with me set up as a new user on this Mac.
I'm duplicate the file, save as on the documents I'm working on, and these images contain a "." within the name. So, every time I "save as" the file drops the characters after the "." and adds the file extension.
We changed the Finder preferences to show all filename extensions, but that only seemed to work briefly.
I am working on the following image but the image that I'm working with on the screen is not the same as the output after I save it. What is happening and how can I fix this?
(the images have been reduced in size and quality so this is for illustration only)
I am making a video in Nero Vision 10 and need to cut out the screen of a tv so that I can layer the TV over an image/video so it looks as though it is on the screen. I enclose a screenshot of the project. 'Transform-tools-crop' only cuts in straight lines so I wonder which device I should use which can cut out an odd bespoke shape? You can see in the uploaded image from the project how the image currently cannot fill the frame without covering it.
I'm here with 2013 SP2 64 bit Build 200 and two screens. Left screen is graphics area, Browser is on the left of right screen. Graphics is ATI Fire Pro V7800 with driver 9.3.3.3000.
In video (zipped MP4) you see a cutout of both screens, think of screens changing at the left of the browser.
Now, in many cases, after doing an operation, the browser is jumping back to the middle of my graphics in the left screen.
For no apparent reason, some of the images on my computer screen are coming up in odd, bright colors similar to a negative, but not complete. It happens to images I open on independent web sites and images stored on my computer.
When I open some images in Photoshop5, it asks if I want to discard the embedded profile. If I answer yes, the image displays fine. If I answer No, the image colors are distorted. This problem persists on my laptop screen and on the monitor attached to laptop.
I need to silkscreen an image, but can only do one solid color at a time. I'll have a black t-shirt, so that's one color, then red, green, pink and silver to screen onto the shirt. I can only do a max of 4 colors on one background.
here's the image: [URL].......the link is missing the http : // because I'm a new member and can't post links yet :/
How to break this down into 5 cells of color in Photoshop (CS4)? Then I can silkscreen it.
When I select to resize an image the box that opens has drifted off my screen, and it has slowly risen upward more and more. I noticed this about 2 weeks ago and couldnt grab the top bar to bring it down as it was already out of sight. Now everytime I go to resize something it drifts a tad farther, and a tad farther until now it's virtually impossible to see anything and I've been using the blind tab method for making adjustments.
Below are some pictures to demonstrate what exactly is happening. The first one shows where I'm going to select what, the second shows where the box is after it opens.
The third shows me picking a color, and the fourth shows how this problem has spread to that box as well.
I recently upgraded to PS-CS4 from CS3 and notice that I can only view one image on my screen. Is there a way to view more than one image on the screen at the same time? I cannot seem to find a way to change this feature.
I have PSPX3U. Just installed it on my new computer last week. I can't be sure, but I do believe I let it update. I then had the bug where Filters Unlimited filters don't work properly on a raster layer. I had this problem on my regular X3 (not ulltimate) after doing updates. My only option was to un-install PSP and re-install it and not update.
Now on this new computer, I did uninstallinstall and re-installed. I honestly don't remember, but I do think I still had a problem without doing any updates. I think I did one of the updates and my Filters Unlimited was back to working the way it should.
Now today I was working on something and found out that I have the dropping pixels bug. I thought I saw something off the other day. I do know this is a problem and I do see there's a fix. But it says that you have to install update 4 first. My PSPX3U version is 13.2.0.35.
I'm afraid of installing the updates because I can't afford to hae that filter bug again...but I also can't afford to have the dropping pixel bug.I tried to look at the updates to see which one(s) I would need to install, but only the first one tells you if you have a certain version then you don't need it. I couldn't find this for the others...unless I'm not looking in the right spot.
I am using acad 2011, and have noticed that when using the publish command, for more than about 15 sheets, it always drops one sheet, and duplicates one, so I always come out with the correct number of pages, but 1 is gone and one has 2 copies.
I work for a large format printing company. We receive thousands of files every year from many different designers. We started to notice that gradients would drop out of some PDFs when opening them in Illustrator but they would preview fine when opened in Acrobat. I searched high and low for an explanation for this glitch. The only response I received is "Stop opening exported PDFs in Illustrator." The downfall with these workarounds: all spot colors located in the gradients will convert to CMYK mixes. I'm still researching to see if there is a way to keep spot colors intact in these areas.
A little back story: InDesign is converting the gradients into something called NChannel. It enables more accurate handling of color blending by including additional dot gain and color mixing info. Both InDesign and Acrobat have the ability to display these elements whereas Illustrator, from what I’m finding, does not. Which is why we’re seeing gradient elements drop out when opened in Illustrator.
Workaround for CMYK Gradients Open PDF exported from INDD in Acrobat Go to Tools > Print Production > Convert Colors Object Type: Smooth Shade (this tells Acrobat to hone in on Gradients only) Color Type: DeviceCMYK Check Embed next to Conversion Profile (should be SWOP) Expand Document Colors on the right and Select DeviceCMYK in Color Spaces then click ok Save the PDF
I am trying to drag and drop files out of one folder and put into a subfolder in the library module but it wont let me and I am wondering if there is a navigation menu that will allow me to do the same?
I've listed my setup below and then have stated the issue I'm experiencing.
27-inch, Mid 2011 iMac 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 16GB 1333 MHz DDR3 AMD Radeon HD 6970 1024MB Running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63)
Currently working off of a portable 1TB G-Technology G-DRIVE via FW800. Working in Premiere Pro CS6 Version 6.0.2 Editing in a sequence with settings: 1920 x 1080 23.976fps (also tried in a 29.97fps timeline with same issue) Working with footage that is 23.98fps Working with a combination of ProRes 422 (LT) and native H.264 Quicktime files strait from a 5D Mark 3.
The issue I'm having is during playback the audio will competely drop out. The video will continue playing on just fine but the audio drops completely out. All audio levels drop as well in the audio mixer meters so it truly is losing all communication with my audio layers in the timeline.
I read in other forums to go into Finder and delete out the .caf files, re open Premiere Pro, wait for them to be recreated then carry on. I tried this approach with no luck. Deleting the .caf did not change anything. Audio is still dropping out as I try to play through my timeline. The only way to get the audio back is to pause then press play again. I have 5 total channels of audio with only 2 of those channel active.
This is incredibly frustrating have to export out a video just to be able to watch it through.
I have win7 and PS Cs6 (64 bit).Every time I am editing an image in cs6 the screen jitters. It doesn't flicker, but jitters. By this I mean it jumps up and down:). I am using WIn7.
CS6 with my image make my screen BLINK, sometimes it blink in black, sometimes it blink as transparency, when i do something in my image all my image get black or it blink's again, how i solve that??
its like all the time this blinks, when i work with more than 1 layer i cant choose other layer that all blinks, i cant move things in my image that all blinks.
currently using PS5 and recently updated to PS6. In both versions i have an issue with ACR.More often than not, when processing a raw file, if i apply any noise reduction (ie move the luminance amount slider from 0) the zoom stops functioning preventing me zooming in or out. Some times this is acompanied by the image "stuttering" if i move the image around the screen to look at a different part.
When i open an image in ACR and convert to tiff in PS the first time i use the program all is well, but if i then go back to ACR and open another image i often find that the ACR screen comes up minus the actual image. The window which should contain the image shows PS underneath. Im currently using windows 7. I often get an error message when trying to open a raw file stating "not enough RAM". Is the ram (or lack of) responsible for all of these issues?
I have wandered around the web and found numerous sites with sample drawings using the Wacom in PS. When the demonstrators are doing their bit, they use the whole of the screen for their efforts, even moving up and down into seemingly hidden areas when the drawing requires more space.
May I ask, how can I, when using my Wacom, ensure that I can use the whole of the screen, and not just a part of it. At the moment I select 'New,' and a certain size of paper, which never covers the whole screen and certainly will not permit me to draw beyond the paper limits.
My images look fine previewed in my digital camera (Leica Digilux1) but when I import them to Photoshop they are much darker. I import using a Dazzle card reader as my son shares it and his camera has a different chip.
I have recently replaced my PC. Windows Pro with all current updates. I use Photoshop CS3.
Sometimes when I put the cursor on the blue bar at the top of an open PS image it doesn't move around my screen when I drag the mouse. Other times it works OK after a few stutters. It was always OK on my previous PC.
