CS6 with my image make my screen BLINK, sometimes it blink in black, sometimes it blink as transparency, when i do something in my image all my image get black or it blink's again, how i solve that??
its like all the time this blinks, when i work with more than 1 layer i cant choose other layer that all blinks, i cant move things in my image that all blinks.
The entire image is what is blinking, while the photoshop tools remain on.

IProblem 1: Tool Palettes on top of image.
I'm using a 15" thinkpad laptop, with I think 1024 x whatever highest resolution. When I use Gimp, my screen real estate is being eaten up by the tool palettes more so than the image I'm trying to work on. I like the tool palettes - I'd like them to stay open - BUT what I'd really like is for the image to lay over top of the palettes, rather than the palettes lying over top of my image.
Problem 2: Zooming and scrolling in the image.
I'm not too sure what was different about photoshop in this regard, but I'm having a bear of a time getting my images to zoom and scroll in the manner I was used to in photoshop. What can I change in the Gimp settings to make it behave more like photoshop in that regard? I found one setting to increase window size as the image zooms, but that was worse.
I like a lot of the aspects of Gimp, but these two things are preventing me from getting to use it very much presently.

When using Photoshop CS6, my screen blinks and flashes, especially when using editing tools or adjusting the image (increasing/decreasing size.)
I am an Adobe Cloud member and using a new machine that has Windows 8 which I am still getting used to. I had been using my CS apps on my laptop/W7 with no problem whatsoever. Not sure if the OS makes a difference.

View 3 Replies View RelatedJust built a new box with Asus P5K mobo, 4 gig ram, Intel Core 2 processor and a nVidia Gforce 7300 video card. XP Pro with SP3. Now when CS is open the images that are open "blink" off/on sometimes. I turned down hardware acceleration a notch and tried lowering refresh rate from 85 to 75 but no help. Did all recent Windows updates. Same old View Sonic GS790 monitor. I have used this monitor for years on old machine with Matrox G400 dual head card with zero problems ever. I downloaded lastest drivers from nVidia as originals said not XP compatible.

What I'm trying to do is create different screen instances of a website using a feaure that turns on specific layers, allowing me to save that "layer visible" combination. I did this a few years ago and now cannot remember how it was done. To give an example:
I have a layer folder called "main navigation" in my Photoshop file. This main navigation folder has tons of sublayer elements that include the menu itself, hover states, drop down states, etc. I have another layer folder that contains elements for a specific web page.
What I used to do was this: I could turn on one of the specific web page folders, then turn on the active state element in my Main Navigation folder. So now the page looks as if it would for that specific screen instance. At this point, I was able to create a "Layer Group" that saved this specific set of layers that were turned on (visible), and name it.
Does this feature still exist in Photoshop? I can't seem to find it anywhere, or find any documentation on how to implement it.

After a support call, I've lowered the brightness on my imac OS 10.6.8 but the prints are darker than ever.
I've calibrated. The printer is an Epson 4900. Photoshop is managing the colors. I did not download the no color management app.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am making a video in Nero Vision 10 and need to cut out the screen of a tv so that I can layer the TV over an image/video so it looks as though it is on the screen. I enclose a screenshot of the project. 'Transform-tools-crop' only cuts in straight lines so I wonder which device I should use which can cut out an odd bespoke shape? You can see in the uploaded image from the project how the image currently cannot fill the frame without covering it.
View 7 Replies View RelatedEach time I open a new image in ACR and then open image the editing screen reverts to QUICK mode and a smaller screen size. I then have to click to change it to EXPERT mode and then click to make it full screen. I never had this problem with PSE 10.
(I am bringing RAW images in from outside and not via Organiser.)

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am a new user of X4 and have used X2 for only about six months so some of my questions may seem lame, but here they are.
First, I upgraded to X4 to get rid of that annoying AVCHD blip problem (it worked). But, I have become increasingly frustrated that the quality of my DVDs are still fairly poor to my mind. I have been taking HD videos of my daughter playing soccer and the videos look good on my computer (in clip mode, anyway, as opposed to project mode, which probably takes more processing power than I have). However, they don't look that good to me when I watch DVDs I have created.
The camcorder is a Sony HDR – CX150 and its native MTS files are 1440x1080. After some reading, I discovered that standard DVD conversion plummets the resolution to 720x480, or 480p. So, perhaps that is part of the answer for why a standard DVD format of the soccer game doesn't look so nice on a 37" 720P or 1080i LCD Vizio TV? The 720x480 picture is being stretched to fit? OK, but why does motion look so bad? The image is decent when people are standing still, but I see a lot of blur and, sometimes, streaking when the camera pans or people start to run. What can I do about that?
I tried upping the bitrate for the DVD MPEG settings (from 6800 to 9800), but that did not work. I thought perhaps I could try making an AVCHD DVD using the 1920x1080 resolution and play it on my Blu-ray player (a Samsung BD-P1590) to see if that might look good. It didn't. In fact, it seemed to be the same or even slightly worse.
So, how do I get the good quality videos I am taking to translate to the TV screen? I have tried two different DVD players and TVs as well as my laptop.
Dimension elements do not appear clear on the screen. I want to Imaging the screen to use the image in another. How do I make the dimensions clear ?

I'm here with 2013 SP2 64 bit Build 200 and two screens. Left screen is graphics area, Browser is on the left of right screen. Graphics is ATI Fire Pro V7800 with driver 9.3.3.3000.
In video (zipped MP4) you see a cutout of both screens, think of screens changing at the left of the browser.
Now, in many cases, after doing an operation, the browser is jumping back to the middle of my graphics in the left screen.
I have been using some tools successfully, but now when I try to use the Healing, Tool, Patch, Type and some others, the image drops off the screen as soon as I place the tool onto the screen. Then I cannot work on the image.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor no apparent reason, some of the images on my computer screen are coming up in odd, bright colors similar to a negative, but not complete. It happens to images I open on independent web sites and images stored on my computer.
When I open some images in Photoshop5, it asks if I want to discard the embedded profile. If I answer yes, the image displays fine. If I answer No, the image colors are distorted. This problem persists on my laptop screen and on the monitor attached to laptop.
I need to silkscreen an image, but can only do one solid color at a time. I'll have a black t-shirt, so that's one color, then red, green, pink and silver to screen onto the shirt. I can only do a max of 4 colors on one background.

How to break this down into 5 cells of color in Photoshop (CS4)? Then I can silkscreen it.
When I select to resize an image the box that opens has drifted off my screen, and it has slowly risen upward more and more. I noticed this about 2 weeks ago and couldnt grab the top bar to bring it down as it was already out of sight. Now everytime I go to resize something it drifts a tad farther, and a tad farther until now it's virtually impossible to see anything and I've been using the blind tab method for making adjustments.
Below are some pictures to demonstrate what exactly is happening. The first one shows where I'm going to select what, the second shows where the box is after it opens.
The third shows me picking a color, and the fourth shows how this problem has spread to that box as well.

I recently upgraded to PS-CS4 from CS3 and notice that I can only view one image on my screen. Is there a way to view more than one image on the screen at the same time? I cannot seem to find a way to change this feature.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am unable to save .pdf versions of color separations. I followed the tutorials (changed all colors to cmyk or spot colors, selected the printer adobe post script, changed the output to Separations (host-based), desected the colors I didn't want on the separations), but something goes wrong when I save. When I click save, I am given no option to save the separation as a .pdf. The program seems to be unable to save the separation as any sort of readable file. In the drop down box where it should provide a .pdf option, it merely says "All Files." If I save my separation using this option, then Illustrator creates a file unreadable by Acrobat Reader.
