im trying to edit or delete the text on this image but i have no clue how. i want to put Hexy in instead of whats there, but i dont wanna mess the background up too bad. are there any shortcuts? or do i have to pain-stakingly edit it manually?
I re-opened a drawing this morning and found some text to be different height from the rest. When I attempted to adjust all of the heights to be the same using the properties method, they all became bigger. Instead of all of them going to 6", the 5" text went to 6" and the 6" text went to 7-3/16". So, I checked the formatting size and the properties size and they did not match. See PDF.
What is the best way or anyway to remove text from a text frame? Say if you want to remove anything in () in a text frame or any * symbols.  52(one on both sides) //you have this in a text frame  52 // and you want to change it to this by deleting (.)  or  40* //you have this in a text frame  40 // and you want to change it to this by deleting the *
I am having a problem with a blueprint for a house. the plan was sent to me dwg. We use pdf factory to print the plans. This leaves a black spot where ever the dwg has mask on the dimensions. Which happens to be throughout the plan and it will only let me take it off one text box at a time. There is way too many dimensions in the plan for this to be practical. how to remove this mask from all? I am using autocad lt and pdf factory to print.
When labeling a view in an Inventor Drawing (Inventor 2012) I want the view identifier label to show but I don't want the scale to appear. Is there a way to turn this off without going into the format text and deleting it every time?  When I was using Inventor 2008 it always made me click to turn the scale "on" or visible. Now it does it automatically. Â

I often have DXF files that contain very many short (10 digits or less) instances of text, and only a few long instances of text (11 digits or more)....
I would like to use AutoLISP to delete all of the short text in my DXF file, but leave the longer text.Â
i made a logo for a website, and then knocked out the background.. but when it shows up on the website i designed it has a while outline on it.. how do i get rid of that? i saved it as a gif with layers.
When I try to create a mask in photoshop CS, for some reason my picture starts to get deleted. In the picture below, I copied the background layer, and then deleted the background layer leaving me with just the copied layer. I clicked Add Layer Mask, and then clicked the Layer Mask Thumbnail in the Layers tab and then I clicked the Brush icon to begin making my mask.
In the next picture below, I tried to make my mask, but instead of that red color I normally get that show's where i'm masking, the picture is just erased.
I'll place a large image on a small canvas and start erasing the background, then if I move it, I see parts of the background outside of the canvas. Is there a quick and easy way to delete parts of the image that fall outside of the canvas?
All of my files were backed up and easily transfered to my new computer. Today I was doing some cleanup and wanted to move or delete some older psd files. These were created in CS2 (I have CS3 now) and haven't been opened since getting my new computer. Windows will not allow me to delete, move or rename several of these files. It tells me that they are "open in another application" even when photoshop isn't even open. I have tried opening a couple of them in CS3 and then closing them to see if this changes their status but the result is the same. How can I change their "open" status, delete, move or rename them at this point.
My production workflow involves about 20 PSDs that are updated on a weekly basis. Each PSD has 4 groups with new product images added every week. Every few weeks, to keep file size down, I like to delete all but the most recent product image. I'd like to automate this. I'm curious if this can be done without scripting? As is right now, each layer is given a distinct layer number - If I record an action to delete layers, it only deletes the layers with matching numbers... ie if I record the action to delete layer 147, layer 147 has to be present to make the action work.
If it can't be directly accomodated via an action,
how to delete layers/items from the 3D layers panel? Specifically, 3D layers that have been merged. I merged few 3D layers and need to remove some unwanted items that are left behind. Â It would seem like a simple task but I've ended up with one 3D layer in my layers palet and a list of layers in my 3D palet that are all locked. Is this normal? Attached is a screenshot of both layers palets and my doc mode, just in case.
I've installed newly purchased Photoshop CS5 on my relatively new (4 months old) Macbook Pro computer. I've uninstalled/reinstalled 3 or 4 times; same results each time. What happens is I can open the program once normally, right after install, and begin to work on a new project. Shortly thereafter it crashes, and from then on I cannot use the software unless I hold down shift-option-cmd to delete the preferences file, every time I open it. If I don't delete the preferences file, the software will open but nothing in it works. Everything is non-responsive or acts weirdly, until I hit certain buttons which just causes it to crash. As long as I've deleted the preferences file when starting it, all is well. If I don't do that, I can't use the software.
CS5 Mini Bridge: I have "COLLECTIONS" folders named Humming Birds & Humming Birds 1.I tried to combine them, no luck. Then I tried to delete one, no luck.
Every time I try to run a script it comes up with the following message  Error 2: SAVE_FOLDER is undefined. Line: 361 ->  I've tried uninstalling photoshop/deleting the script from all sources/reinstalling the script/reset photoshop settings by pressing shift+ control+alt whilst starting photoshop... but none of these work.
How do i delete old images in my gurus folder here, i have loads in there now and its taking ages to load before i can upload my next victim, i mean great member
I use Photoshop CS2 all the time. Now from somewhere also have Adobe Image Ready CS2 which I do not want or need. My publisher images try to open in Imageready but can't. How can I delete Imageready without deleting Photoshop as well.
Photoshop/Bridge prevents deleting files. After I'm done with a job I store it on the server then try to delete the folder or files I've finished from my desktop. No can do. Â I found I have to shut down Photoshop and Bridge then I can move the stuff into trash.
I have a Macbook Pro running Lion, OS X 10.7 that I purchased two months ago so it's relatively new. Just bought Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended and installed it on the computer a day ago. Software will not operate unless I hold option+command+shift when starting so that the preferences file is deleted. Â I suspect that the problem stems from a plugin that I deposited into the plugins folder, because the software was working at first. I didn't piece this together until after the fact, but once I fired up the software a couple times after installing it, it worked fine each time. I noodled around and checked some things out to see what's new in CS5, then I went ahead and deposited a favorite plugin into the plugins folder. Things stopped working after this. Not positive the plugin is related, but thought I should mention it. Â I removed the plugin of course, to no avail. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software three times. No difference. When I open the software without deleting the prefs file, it's just buggy and non-responsive. Can't start a new project, and thing just end up crashing every time. The software is useless without deleting the prefs file when firing it up.
How do you turn off the feather when painting a simple square or circular selection? Also, when I delete, it feathers as well... and I can't seem to findhow to adjust this!
