when writting in a text box whenever using punctuation it always go to the beginning of the sentence. FOR EXAMPLE (?what time is it)
i have tried changing the text engine option to East Asian and then restarting photoshop, but when reopening my exisitng work, the problem still remains.
However when creating a new document the problem is gone, however i want to resolve the problem with my exisitng document i have been working on.
First I am a new user of InDesign so it might just be me. I am trying to use text wrap and it works fine with a text box. When I try to do the same thing on another page with a link text, text wrap does not work.

3. issue "select / to path" command

The text ALWAYS starts at the 12 o'clock position and is ALWAYS cut off at the 19th character! On the original circle the text cuts off at the 4 o'clock position.If I make the circle larger the text is still cut off at the 19th character but: - It starts at 12 o'clock and is cut off at 2 o'clock
If I make the circle smaller the text is still cut off at the 19th character but: - It starts at 12 o'clock and is cut off at 6 o'clock..All the circles are large enough for all the text to print around their circumference.
I cannot get the Text to show up using the Text tool. All I can see are tiny boxes even made the font 60 points. SHould be huge. Been happening for more than a week and I ran an update via the cloud just last night.

I even resetted the text tool.I don't know what else to really do. View 1 Replies View RelatedTwo weeks ago I upgraded to Creative Cloud's Photoshop CS6 and up to now no problems then, all of a sudden - with the final step of a website design just minutes away I got a window warning me that something has stopped the text engine from working.
I was using the text tool and when I clicked on the layer the warning window appeared.
So a few weeks ago I was fiddling in my Font folder and removed some text files that I didn't need. So after that, I tried to use the text tool in my Photoshop CS4, and everytime I get an error that says"Could not complete your request because of a program error."
So my Text Tool in Photoshop is just not functioning at all now, and I know it has something to do with some of the fonts I removed, but I don't remember which ones I deleted
I am using cs3 and up till now all has worked correctly. But now when I try to use the text tool even at the the largest of sizes it is so small it can hardly be seen!.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using PS7 for a few years and have never had this problem. All of a sudden, when I try to type text it's not showing up on the screen. I can see the text I've typed in the Layers palette but not on the page. I've rebooted and have no viruses. I'm running Win XP Pro if that info is needed. I have a feeling I've accidentally hit a command button or something that's caused this.

It's in outline so there is the outer black circle and the inner black circle. I'd like to fill the empty letter space with white, while leaving the center of the "o" transparent. View 1 Replies View RelatedEver since I've installed CS6 my Text tool has not been working properly AT ALL. a Number of problems
1. I cant resize using the 00.pt at all. If I switch from 72 to 48 (or any other number) it will stay the same
2. manually rezising also causes issues, I don't get a full preview of the text even after sized. its cut off at 50%-75% height
3. the bounding box doesn't even go outside the entire object. its usually about 20% of the height
4. it often needs to "load" I've NEVER seen this before.
Its also since caused problems to CS5.
Using Photoshop CC on a Mac running the newest versions of everything and I am having trouble getting the eyedropper to work properly. I have a text layer selected and I've always been able to switch to the eyedropper and change the color of the text directly.
I chatted with Adobe support and they got me to delete my preferences folder. It worked after that the next time I opened Photoshop but then the next time, stopped working again. Delete preferences folder again and it works but after the first try it stops working every time.
I have a new computer with Windows 7 - 64 bit and have dowloaded both updates to now have X6.2 - When I try to use ANY "text" the program quits working

How can i get the text-writing box to work?
PS An empty box appears on the background, supposedly to write in, but it doesn't work. I type and nothing happens. And, there is a huge cursor bar (?) that extends down the screen.

I write the text, create a camera, make sure the 3d button is checked, and extrude the text. Then I move the text to see the new 3d angles of the text. When I double-click on a text item, AutoCAD used to go to text edit mode, without entering the TEDIT command. This quit working - now I have to enter TEDIT.
Also, when I select items and hit the Delete key, nothing happens. The selected items used to get deleted.
I tried going to the Windows Start menu and resetting all of the settings to the defaults - this didn't work.
I also tried re-installing AutoCAD from my original disk, and that didn't work either.
Yesterday I installed the newest GIMP 2.8 version for map making. I want to make a great map of USA/Mexico.Everything works fine except the most important thing for me, which is wrapping the text along the path.
The text is usually distorted and away from the path.This is how I do it:
Tools -> Paths -> make the path on map by right clicking
left click on just made path -> Tools -> Text
right click on text -> click on Text Along Path
I have an illustrator file with some text flowed in and the area type options setup to create two columns. I would like to have a paragraph break move to the second column using some sort of column break (number enter key in indesign). Is this possible in illustrator?

I go to Tools > Options > Paragraph Text Frame and untick 'show text frames'. I then go to Document and tick 'Save options as default....'. Restart. No change, I still see a red dotted line around the text frames. How do you turn these off? If I can't do that, can I at least change the colour?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have uninstalled and reinstalled my x5 and while it fixed the error causing my default text cursor to start at 270 degrees for some reason instead of 0, I still cannot edit ANY font text as far as the kerning goes. When i drag it, it snaps right back everytime. This is extremely frustrating when aligning text to a curved path and all the letters are squished together.wth? I think the problem is coming from Country Kit. Since I put it and I'm using it as a template, my Civil 3D is coming with THOUSANDS of errors.
