I typed "text" in the help box, did a bunch of reading, but didn't see the answer to this. I have two colored text.....a thin line in one color and an inner color. How do I increase the thickness of the outer line?

I want to enter a text which contains a text like "(R)" and this is changed automatically to a circle with an 'R' inside. I do not want this but cannot find any option to switch that off. I want to put my text at the bottom of the circle and have in go left to right with the text right side up. But every time I try and put the text at the bottom of the circle the text is upside down and right to left.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm doing Gary's Create a Sunflower and pot (July 2008) tutorial and just as always I run into problems combining/converting shapes. I believe I have followed the tut exactly and the only thing my lines do is taper at the bottom.
Also, I'm using Designer 7 and there is no option for changing line width to 6 px, only 4 and 8. So I'm using 8 pxls. I tried typing in a 6 and hitting enter but it doesn't accept a 6.
I'm not able to find any control for changing line width in stylized view type like tech, ink etc. Is there a control available for it or is it just as it is solution?
Feature is nice though and it would be nice to have such minor controls for it.

Floating command line width gets shorter and shorter everytime you open up AutoCAD? Civil 3D is real bad, I used it to shoot the above video. In regular AutoCAD, it still shrinks, but it shrinks a lot less.
Any tips for keeping it floating but making the width stay constant?
I recently downloaded and installed the latest version update. Everything seems to be working fine. However, one thing is not. The Set line width box in the flyout menu does not allow typing in a custom number. I thought it might have been a problem with my Cintiq but it is the same on my main monitor.
The Set line width box in the main toolbar works fine. But the one in the flyout doesn't work. I can select a setting from the dropdown list but just can't type in something like 1.5. It doesn't matter if I use my number pad--with the numlock on--or the keyboard numbers. Another strange thing I just noticed, when trying to type in a number in the flyout box, I cannot type 1 or 2 or a period but I can type in 0,3-9 although none of these changes the width of the line.
This worked okay in the previous version so perhaps it is a bug in the new release? (7.1.2.18680)
I need to change the width and height of some text i'm inputting to and image so that the height is 100% and the width is 75% in ariel size 11, how do i do it? I cannot find the answer on google,
also, the phrase capitalized, is this some special setting or does it just mean write in capitals
I would be possible to create a plugin that could create a line with different width. Photoshops pen tool where you can fill stroke, and simulate pressure.
It would not have to be an advanced plugin, it would only require 2 features:
1. Max width (the maximum width in the middle of the line)
2. And of course would let you decide where the line should be.
So the plugin should create something like this:
I am trying to create a script (that I can run on a batch of images) that will resize the images to a set width but will maintain the proper aspect ratio of the images. There are many images and they are all different dimensions.
I want to resize them for webpages to a standard width (300) and have the height be automatically adjusted to the new width (proper aspect ratio).
When I try to create the script, it automatically uses the aspect ratio height of the image that was used to create the script.
When it runs on additional images it automatically sets their height to the height of the first image (used to create the script). As all of the images have different dimensions, the end result is wrong.
Is there a way to write the script so that it will maintain the proper aspect ratio of multiple images, all with different dimensions?
Is there a way to use the line tool to make a 1 pixel wide line? When I use a brush width of 1, the line apears to be blurred. I would like the line tool to draw a line as if it was drawn using the pencil tool (with brush width of 1). This means that every pixel I colour, will have the exact ARGB value that I am using at that moment.
I have attached an example of this to this post. It consists of two lines, the top one has been drawn using the line tool, the bottom one using the pencil tool. I would like to turn the top line into the bottom one.
I have some irregular shapes pure black on white background. I want to be able to make an outline with a fixed pixel size- quite small - less than 20 pixels around the inside edge as though I had taken a brush and carefully run it around the edge- it need to be more precise that what I can do by hand
I'm not suer yet whether the inside of the line should b hard or soft edge when it touches the colour, the outside edge can overlap the shape as it will be masked out- to leave a hard outside edge
What is the best way to change the color of two pieces of specific text in lisp? I want to change where it says (strcase ln6) & (strcase ln7) to the color of green. I tried it a couple of different ways but I'm having some trouble. First I am setting the current layer with a color of blue. I am then running the text command a couple of times. I want to run the mtext command a couple of times but I want the text to be green & I want the width factor to be .85

View 14 Replies View RelatedI need to change the text line width in model space, not the overall text width or the text line width/weight in paper space. Our mold maker wants to measure that on screen and he wants to set the text line width to 0.060”, while the overall text width fixed.
For example, the text “REMOVE FROM BOAT” is 3” wide total from first letter R to last letter T and height 0.4”. That is easy to do. The hard part is that he wants the line in each letter to be 0.060” (1.5mm) wide. I practiced the true type text which is measurable in model space, but that is fixed with for a certain font with a certain size. I can change from one font to the other and get different thickness but cannot change the width freely to 1.5mm as requested.
I have taken pictures for my husbands company, and one of the distributors wants pictures sent to them in jpeg, and stated the pictures must be 500 x 500 pixels and 300 DPI. I have not been able to make the height and width both at 500 pixels. Can this be done? I have PSP X4.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm baffled. I do 99.9% of my photo work in Lightroom and then export to jpg. On the rare occasion when I need to remove something from a photo (a fly or leash), I have been using PSP version 9 because I already have it.
However, this morning I opened an 8 Mb jpgs file, did my editing and just saved it (no save as or resizing), and now the file is only 2 Mb.
What the heck? [URL]....
I can not use my HP scanner. It looks like the image size is wrong and should be reduced to less than 49999 pixels high x 4999 pixels wide. Where could I change the image size in X4. Using Windows 7 Pro.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to take my out of camera image, which is at 314ppi at about 9x12 and crop it to 8x10 at 300ppi. But, when I go to the crop tool, and click 8x10 preset, the resolution is set at 72ppi, and i can't see how to change that. So, the preset crop tool gives an outline of the crop area that is very small. The picture itself when it comes up is something like 33 " x 38" at 72ppi. If I go into resize image, it gets time consuming; you'd think I could just select the 8x10 preset at 300ppi and get a file that is about 2400 x 3000 ppi....8x10, 300ppi.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI don't understand two things about the workspace tabs:
First, if I right click on a file in a file list like Windows Explorer and select "Open in PSPX4", the file opens in the X4 Edit workspace but disappears if I then click on the Adjust tab. Click back on the Edit tab and it is still gone. But if I click on a file in the X4 Organizer the image appears in all three workspaces, Manage, Adjust, and Edit. In X3 I could toggle back and forth between Express Lab and Full editor and the image would appear in both, no matter if it was opened through Explorer or from Organizer. Apparently X4 only want users to open files from its own organizer?
Second, I don't understand why after making edits to an image in one workspace, like Adjust, I cannot then switch to the Edit tab and make further edits without having to first save the changes made in Adjust. If I happen to go back and forth a few times making edits in two work spaces and am forced to save the file each time, don't these multiple file saves degrade JPEG files due to compounded compression? If so I would rather save only once at the end of all edits. Or am I not understanding the meaning of "save" in this context (a likely possibility). And part B, after making an edit and clicking on a different tab, why am I prompted to save when I have Auto save enabled?
Installed the SP1 and changed to the light grey work space color....but how or can I get rid of the dark grey application background. That didn't change when I changed the other.
View 5 Replies View RelatedAll i want to do is create a new image... a black background to be exact which I can do easily enough, then I open a second image (a picture taken by hubble, im creating a new desktop background). I copy that picture, paste it onto the black background. All I want to do now is center the hubble picture on the black background. I can do it manually of course, but when I click on the hubble picture so that it is selected then go to the 'objects' drop down menu I see the 'align' option, it then opens another menu and it has it right there "center in canvas" but it is not selectable, actually the entire 'align' menu is grey meaning I cant select any of the align options.
Also, same project, the hubble picture... I want to but a border around it. Under the 'image' drop down menu is a add border option... but it adds a border around the black background/canvas and not the hubble image that I have selected!?! Why?
In both cases its like the program is not accepting that I have a new image (the hubble image) selected, its only allowing me to alter the initial black background.
Trying to use the width tool, I ran into the following problem. I would like to have a smooth transition of the stroke width between two width points while keeping the original stroke width unchanged outside of that line segment.
There are four width points here: two end points and two in between. The original stroke width is 200. The two on the left have one side set to 100 while the two on the right have one side set to 50. I would like to eliminate the distortion of the line width occuring in the first and third line segments. The only solution that I have come up with so far is to place two additional width points very close to the two middle width points: one with a 100-unit side to the left of the second point in the picture and one with a 50-unit side to the right of the third point in the picture. Yet there will be a small distirtion in between.
I have an image with a gray foreground and want to change the colour. With the flood fill tool selected I click on the foreground colour box in the materials palette.I click on the colour frame, the colour momentarily shows but does not alter the colour box.Clicking on the rainbow tab displays a box with black to white gradient in it.This will change the colour box to any shade clicked on.Clicking on the swatches colour tab gives varying shades in the colour box or does not change the colour box.What is going on here and how do I get back to normal so that I can change the foreground colour as before?
