I've been typing text into images for some time now, I always got a box around the type that helep me align things. All of a sudden the box went away. how to get it back.
View 4 RepliesUsing Elements 9 I was adding black text to a .jpg image. Somehow during the process, the text being entered defaulted to a "wavy, illegible set of characters". Spent 30+ minutes looking at FAQs and have given up. I want to reset to default simple clear black characters. Closing and restarting Elements does not resolve this issue. When ending a newly entered set of text - still get "wavy, illegible set of characters!"

View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter some unknown action on my part eps export started replacing Arial Bold text with Courier characters using Arial font spacing. The Corel Draw view shows Arial Bold text and identifies it as such in the top button bar. When I looked at the text properties docker it was completely blank, absolutely nothing visible at all.
I can select the Artistic and Paragrah text default properties in the Object Styles Docker, but the similar information about character, paragraph, and frame that I used to have in the text properties docker is now just a grey empty panel.
I have done one reinstall without removing user files. Thet did not change anything. I have done another reinstall after removing also all user files in the uninstall. Still got an empty text properties docker but the eps export now works correctly.
how to get back the furniture that used to be in the Text Properties Docker?
I have created an attribute say 1 and made a circle and moved the attribute text next to the circle and now making a block including both text and circle but when the block is created the text disappears I have made sure to check the annotation on in both attribute and block creation. This is just happening in Autocad Map 3D 2012. Dont know why the text disappears but when i explode the block it is back.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi was asked to assist with plotting some coordinated on a drawing, the catch is i need to re orientate the UCS with Y+ at the top of the screen, X+ to the right, Y- to the bottom and X- to the left..
I managed to get this part right, that was the easy part.....
However when i went to put any Dimension or even Text on the drawing it was Backwards and Upside Down.

When I am trying to label an object, surface slope, elevation or lot line distance my text reverts back to layer 0. I have checked the Label style composser and have everything that I see set to the layer I want it on. When creating the label I am even physically on the proper layer but when I make the label it still goes to 0.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOkay so I'm having issues with the text tabbing in X6 ,the tabs are set and double checked before it goes out for printing but when its printed some tabs just jump back to the edge. This also happens when the text box is updated(moved or re-sized). We have been having multiple problems with x6 now for a while , we have done the start with factory settings, which has only resolved previous issues temporarily as after a while the problem would reoccur. X5 never had these problems.

I have another process that runs and reads the meta data for the drawing itself that gets run from Vault before checking in the drawing. I need to know if I can combine these two processes such that I can parse the drawing outside of AutoCad. Is this possible?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've tried every permutation of copy and paste; I renamed the path to path. It looks like a path when I add stroke, but it does not behave like one. I can't cut it or join it to any other path. It remembers it's text path status. I'm running OS X 10.7.5.

The answer I found said to select the path and hit Command+C+F. This gives me another text path! I now have at least 6 copies of the path in my files but they are ALL text paths and none are visible with a stroke.

What was I thinking. I always use CMD+H to hide selections! I have been looking around in the prefs, bue can't find a way to change it back.
Mac // CS5 // lion...I'm working on a business card in photoshop. I always save as .psd until the finished product, then save a front and a back as a .pdf.
I finished, saved my front and back as a .pdf everything is good. When I save the document as .psd again and close the file, the next time I reopen, it has 0 layers, everything is flattened. I've never had this happen before and am scared to close down the file I am working on for fear that it might not return.
I had this happen once already earlier today on a seperate business card. I knew I saved my final copy as a .psd and when I opened that .psd up again to find that there were no layers, but one flattened image. Is my PS corrupted? Or did I miss a simple check box somewhere?
This is the original document I'm working on. I saved 2 .pdf files from this .psd...For Good measure I save the .psd above as a "test" and then open it up in another window. Notice how the thumbnail has a curved triangle shape. Also the file size is only like 9 mb...very small for my normal size
Ok, so I open it up, and this is what I see. One flattened picture. No layer masks, layers...anything.
I have successfully changed a background using the Layers feature. Part of that process was copying and pasting by Edit--Copy and Edit--Paste in Cs4. I've done it only once,
and now that I am onto a new image that I'd like to copy, the Copy button is greyed out, and all I am allowed to select is Paste and when I select that, it only pastes the image I'd done the first time. I've closed out Photoshop twice, and it is still doing the same thing. I just want my Copy button back...
I just installed CS6. When I open my photos from Bridge in Camera Raw, the old window from CS5 opens (the one with Fill Light and Recovery), not the new one with Highlights/Shadows.
I can get it to change to the new version by clicking on a fly out menu that says Reset Camera Raw Defaults but I have to do that for each photo. How can I get the new version to open all the time?

I've had this problem before... where I go to hit a keyboard shortcut and end up in some sort of gray scale mode. I'm not actually in "gray scale" though; I'm still in RGB mode but the image title bar says "blue/8".
I've tried everything I can think of, but now many of my options have been grayed out and I can't select certain menu functions. There was an easy fix with CS4 I found online, but I don't remember what it was and this seems different.

I'm trying to print a flyer that has art on the front and back. I copied the images to Microsoft Word on page one and two. I then printed page one and then turned the page over and printed page two on the back. Though I have the same settings for page one and two, it's not aligning.
Is there another way to do this so I can get perfect alignment for the front and back of the page. Can I do this with Photoshop or should I use a table in Microsoft Word or should I use another program altogether like Adobe Pagemaker or Quarkexpress.
