View 10 RepliesI have an Epson 1400, and it was working fine this morning. I usually go to Print Settings to select my glossy paper. But just now, when I went to print, and tried to click the Print settings... button, nothing happens. I have tried using Software Update and installed the latest Epson Printer Software, and tested several other applications, and the printer is connected and working fine in those.
View 7 Replies View Relatedunable to select "printer manages colors" in the print settings, manage colors dialog. The options are grayed out and the default is "color sync". This started yesterday with LR4 so I upgraded to LR5 and it is the same.

I'm using OS 10.6.8 and the latest Epson drivers for the 3880. I have re-installed both PS and the Epson drivers. If I print from Acrobat Reader everything seems to work fine, this only is happening in Photoshop CS5.
i recieved a prom pic from my daughter and i was going to print it and frame it, but 2 things happend.
The first one was that when i tried to print it it said it was tooooooo big 40inx60in so i resized it to 8.5x11 and it got very blurry, after about an hour i figured out how to get it sharp again (by accident) and forgot how i did it DOH!!! It was some kind of compairson with 4 of the same photo and resizeing the file from 9.5M to about 400kb and actualy adding some blur.
The next problem is when i printed it, it was so washed out it looked like an old 70's poloroid but on screen it looks great. Now I've read the color settings section but i think i might have set some settings wrong [U]and i don't think i fully understand what i'm reading . I know there are settings to either let photoshop take care of the printing or let the printer.Personaly i think i would like to let photoshop do it that way any email's or photo's i shoot will have a common baseline. The printer i'm using is an hp psc 2410 and the camera is a minolta dimage7i, is this a good camera / printer. I'm in adobe rgb(1998) mode and i think i saw somwhere in the printer software to choose between adobe rgb or the hp printer.Do these have to match.
Put simply how can i print it the way i see it on screen
I know ....long winded but i try to give all the info i can
software: adobe photoshop cs2
Card: nvidia geforce ti 4600
crt: compaq mv 940 17in regular screen 1024x768
Printer HP psc 2410
Camera: Minolta Dimage 7i
I have multiple layout pages (58 pages) and would like to print them in a printer at once. How do I do that?
Currently, I open 1 layout at a time then print it 1 by 1, in which its killing me specially if I do have lots of drawings.
Publish does saving in DWF, PDF... But does not print in the printer.
File settings have been moved to the printer settings. Each time I go to printer settings and specify the paper (heavy glossy in this case) and/or number of pages to print...
I get only one page printed. Each time must reprint AND reset the paper type.
Settings are NOT remembered as Adobe says after clicking either the Done or Print button.
This is CS5 32 bit Extended v 12.0 on HP color laserjet 2605dn (duplex printer. HP only makes a universal driver now, this is the latest version on Windows Pro 7.

I'm printing to an Epson R1800 printer.
Â
Print. Choose Color Management. Choose Document. Choose "Photoshop manages color". Choose the correct printer profile that matches the paper I'm using. Choose Relative Colorimetric.
Â
THEN, I click Print Settings...under the 4th drop downu I choose "Print setting..." again. Under "Basic" "color" and "Color settings" are grayed out as are some of the "Media Type" options.
Â
Is this normal? The problem is my black and white prints are printing really badly. They have color tones. I've cleaned the nozzles on my Epson printer, done everything the print utility suggests. All the test prints look fine.
i've just updated to Photoshop CS5 on my Mac (10.5.8) and now my printer settings button wont work for my HP photosmart B9180.

IÂ tried installing the ICC bundle here [URL] but Uncoated Fogra29 or any Fogra profiles are not selectable or visable when printing in photoshop CC. (although fogra29 is in the bundle). How I can install this profile in CC?

I found Uncoated Fogra29 the best profile to use with my Epson Inkjet Printer. (better than the default Epson Profile)

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe margins don't work and you have to enter all the parameters if you are printing multiple photos.
Â
No matter what margins you enter, the utility ignores them.  I need to CENTER a document on both sides of a piece of brochure paper in order to create a personalized greeting card. This program puts the document on the left - turn the page over, and the card does not match. I would have to cut the paper to size and then set up paper sizes for the printer. The other solution would be to make the document letter size and center the card on that. What a waste of time.
Â
I used to get perfect prints on an HP 2600N Laser Printer just by using no color management. Now I don't. Also, if you are printing 2 photographs (or 2 sides of the card) you have to close the program, re-open the program, get the 2nd photograph and reset the margins and the printer specs. What a bother!
Â
I don't know why you just can't put the 'no color management' back into photoshop (unless you are being paid by printing companes not to do so.)
I'd like to use printer color management in LR4. My printer is not in the list. Where do I get ICC profiles for an HP Photosmart 8250 printer and "HP Advanced" paper?

View 4 Replies View RelatedTo create a new template one has to go through the "Printer..." dialog to change the paper size. Unfortunately, the only way to actually SAVE the new settings is to click OK, which causes Lightroom to print the current image. In all other programs, the "Printer..." dialog is used only to adjust settings. In Lightroom it seems to serve as a "Print" dialog as well. On Windows this violates long-standing UI function guidelines embodied by pretty much all other software.
Â
A concrete example:
Â
I needed to create a new template to print on 8-1/2 x 11 paper. To do so, I created a new template while in an existing template for 8x10. This copies the settings to the new template, but one cannot adjust the cell size to anything larger than 8x10. So I went to the "Printer...:" dialog to change the paper size. However, when clicking OK on the "Printer..." dialog, to save the new paper size, Lightroom starts printing the current image.
Â
What should happen is that the settings are saved and no printing starts. Printing should occur only when I click on "Print".
Â
Unless I've missed something and there's a way to change paper size, color profile, paper type, etc. (all the things you can change on the printer driver's dialog) from within Lightroom without invoking "Printer..."?
Within Lightroom 5, I set up a print template for a new Canon ix6550 printer and used it for some months. I happily printed around 40 images.
Â
I sold a few prints, and needed to print identical copies. Up until a few weeks ago, all worked fine.
Â
Then, a few weeks ago, I tried to re-print 2 copies of a single image. The first copy printed OK (it looked like the original), I pressed the 'Print' button once more and the second print came out 'trashed' with extreme increases in saturation and contrast plus a decreased exposure.
Â
I tried altering all sorts of things and printing test strips, but could not get a viable print.
Â
I did not save any changes to the template or to the development settings of the images.
Â
A few days later, I tried again. Without changing anything, the first test strip looked OK, so I went on to successfully print two A4 prints, then the third and all subsequent attempts to print resulted in trashed prints as described above.
Â
Since then, I have determined that if I allow the printer to manage the colours, the test strips look fine. I don't know if I would see a difference on the full sized prints.
Â
So I thought maybe the profile is corrupt? So I downloaded the drivers again from Canon and re-installed - no difference.(Although I do not know enough to locate and delete the originals first.)Should I let the printer manage colours? Will it matter?
How to upload a custom printer profile into Lightroom 3?
