Photoshop :: Print Setting On a Printer Dialog Is Not Responding
Oct 14, 2012
Print setting on a printer dialog is not responding. Now I have a new printer driver (Epsom stylus Photo R800)I cannot set paper size. This is a recurring problem. I have been trying to relaunch app holding control+ option+shift without effect.
I cannot seem to see the custom Printer Profiles I have for certain papersin the Print Dialog.I have added the Print Profiles to Library > Application Support > Adobe > Color > Profiles (and also in Recommended) Â But in the Print Dialog under Colour Management > Photoshop Handles Colour > Print Profile - they are not showing. I have done things like restarting Photoshop and converting the image to CMYK from RGB. Â I can see the profiles in the Proofing menu and am able to select them.without using the profiles my colour management is completely off kilter. Also, can I confirm that I am putting the printer profiles in the correct folder?
I have to set up my drawing on the model page so that I can save it as a PDF and then transfer it into adobe illustrator. My scale is 1:1, and when I put it on the model page I'm doing a 1/8" : 1' scale. It should fit on the page no problem, its only a 9" model plan on 1/4 scale, so it should be 4.5" on the page. However, it's too big for the page.
AutoCAD 2013 crashes during the plot configuration for our printer. When I select Custom Properties for our Kip 5000 Series Printer I get an Unhandled Exception popup. When I click continue I get a message that "AutoCAD Applicaiton has encountered a problem and needs to close", the program crashes. AutoCAD 2013 will not let us select the kip 5000.pc3 file we used for Autocad 2012.
How can I set my printer up if it keeps crashing the program. Is there a new driver for 2013, if so where do I find it. Is it from AutoCad or the printer company Kip America (who have yet to reply to my email).
I have Photoshop CS3. Just got a new HP Photosmart 7520 not good prints results so far. Need to know how to set the printer dialog box to give me best prints.
-PC based system running Windows Home Premium 64 bit8 GB ramLots of hdd spaceCS5.5 Master Suite -Epson Sylus Photo R1900  Operating system, CS5 suite and printer drivers all updated.  When attempting to print a photo, it can take anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes for the print dialog box to open up. It takes SO LONG that it appears that Photoshop has frozen, but it has not. The print dialog box opens eventually. This started about 2 months ago. I have looked at all preferences, assigned more RAM to Photoshop, uninstalled and reinstalled the entire suite, ran all updates, uninstalled and reinstalled the printer drivers - all to no avail.  I am at a loss as to why it would take SO LONG for the print dialog box to open after selecting print? I thought there may be a problem with the print spooler or print queue, but the slowness happens BEFORE the print back system is touched. The print queue is empty, and there is nothing stuck in there. I've checked.
I'm using Photoshop Extended CS6. I'm printing to either an Epson Stylus Pro 9900 or an Epson SP4900. In the print dialog, I get a warning I haven't seen in a long time. It says the setting "No Color Management" at the printer is not supported. This is patently false. I am given a link to download the Adobe Color Print Utility (which gives abominable results; I know this from repeated uses in the past), and a service note saying this issue is for Photoshop CS5. Clearly there is a problem, possibly a bug. Â I have never had CS5 installed on this machine. I do have PS CS5.5 and PS CS6 on this machine (I have used all versions of CS in various suites from the start of the product line). Of course "no printer management on printer/Photoshop manages color" works..
I have PSE 10. My OS is Windows 7. My printer is a Canon MG6120. The default print tray selected for the computer and all programs is the Cassette. It was selected under Devices and Printers (path: Control PanelHardware and SoundDevices and Printers). All my programs accept the cassette as the default paper source or Tray, except for PSE 10.  In all other programs, I manually change the Paper Source for rear tray selection through the Printer Properties dialogue window. However, the paper source for my PSE 10, after manually changing from Tray: Rear Tray to Tray: Cassette, resets back to Tray: Rear Tray after printing and even after using the Change Settings and Advanced Settings dialogue windows. see the image insert.  I generally print on bond paper. The rear tray is normally closed. If I'm want to print on photo paper, I open the rear tray and insert the photo paper. I verify that I have the printer set to use the rear tray. After printing on photo paper (from any program) I reset the paper source back to cassette.  My questions are, "How do I correct or override PSE 10's automatic resetting of the paper source to the Rear Tray. How do I convince PSE 10 to accept the front-loading cassette as the default paper source?"  PSE10 also insists on reverting to Landscpe orientation. Please see the image insert.  My questions are, "How do I correct or override PSE 10's automatic resetting of the paper Orientation to Landscape. How do I convince PSE 10 to accept Portrait as the default orientation?"
I have just bought and installed Lightroom 5 and need to set my print size to A3 and in the future even bigger. I do not have the facility at home and need to have them sized correctly for the print shop so they do not have to waste time resizing them. I am at a loss how to do this. I cant find any settings for this size print. A3 is roughly 42 x 29.7 cm.
My company is exporting Postcards in Illustrator CS6. What we do is have a large data set imported into the Variables applet and use the Actions applet to record and export action and play it through the whole data set. We later combine the PDF files and print them as a batch. Â My question is: Is there a way to create an action that will automatically print the data set while avoiding the print dialog box? It will make the process simple and move faster. Â Also, what are your was of creating postcards? Catalogs? Â How do people create a catalog with over 60 pages and keep the file size low?
I recently got a new computer, with Windows Vista. I used my wife's existing CD to install Paint Shop Pro 7 (from 2001 - yikes!). It seems fine, except for a few of the preferences. The BIG problem is that the [Printer] button on the Page Setup dialog no longer appears! Here's the verbiage from the PaintShopPro7 user guide:
6To surround the image with a color, click the Background button. When the Color dialog box opens, choose the color. The area of the paper from the image edge to the paper margin will be covered with this color.
7Click the Printer button to open the printer.
8Click OK to close the dialog box and save the settings.
I am designing a business card that has lime green as a main color, and I am finding it impossible to find a commercial printer that will print in RGB! I completely understand the difference between the 2 color pallets I just don't understand why I can not find one printer that will print RGB! So does that mean any business card I ever do can never have bright colors?
Just bought a new iMac with OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2). Installed my HP PhotoSmart C4180 printer and its drivers, it prints fine from Adobe Acrobat and scans just fine. I went to print from Photoshop CS5, and once I decided my settings and hit "Print" the program crashed and has done so consistently. I've provided the crash report below. Â Process:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Adobe Photoshop CS5 [13103] Path:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS5/Adobe Photoshop CS5.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Photoshop CS5
I'm looking for a way to print CDs (to Canon ip8500 and ip4300 printers) directly from Photoshop. I'm on x64 where Canon's CD Lable-print won't run, besides which I'd much prefer to print from Photoshop anyway. Is there a plug-in, a work round, a clever trick?
I am trying to print a psd file via CS4 and I am receiving the following error message: Before you can perform printer-relate tasks such as page setup or printing a document, you need to install a printer I DO have a printer installed and can in fact print out a different psd file.....and print something via Word. I tried to check my page setup for this document but I can't do that either. Any ideas of what might be causing this problem?? I even uninstalled and reinstalled my printer.....and rebooted too. If it matters, I am trying to print to a Canon MP980 printer via a wireless setup. I am running under Vista.
I have an Epson 1400, and it was working fine this morning. I usually go to Print Settings to select my glossy paper. But just now, when I went to print, and tried to click the Print settings... button, nothing happens. I have tried using Software Update and installed the latest Epson Printer Software, and tested several other applications, and the printer is connected and working fine in those.
windows7  Epson 2880 printer I can print in Lightroom with no problem. CS6 was printing okay. Now when I try printing it says proceeding , but nothing happens. Cs6 does not crash. Just won 't print. My printer dialog box says error printing then recover file , but when i try again nothing. everything else seems okay. I restarted CS6 and rebooted computer , still no printing. What am Idoing wrong. Is does CS6 haveto be re instalked ?
Note that the Illustrator, Indesign and Acrobat print dialogues see all my (custom) printer profiles. Â Even Photoshop sees them in the Apply Profile and Convert to Profile dialogues: just not when trying to print.
Why can't I get my Epson Printer to print the colors on the monitor>  First time this is happening.  Printer is new...ink okay...and history with the printer has been okay.  Took some photo's yesterday...blue heron, picking up a fish in a pond.  Water is blue...heron is grey and white and has other yellowish and maroon coloring as well. The fish he caught was a gold fish.  The colors on the monitor are wonderful.  The photo's were cropped severely.  But are still clear.   Now the water is pink...and the heron is a disgusting color of grey green.  Have chosen ICM...chosen Adobe color profile. Used premium glossy white papers, Epson inks.   Tried printing it out without ICM and with different papers....still the same...Either everything is hot pink, or dull gray brown. This was my first ever heron photo that had any merit, and I so want to print it out for everyone to see. I was so lucky to catch the fishing capture. Does the cropping have anything to do with the printing of the photo?
I have stiched together six photos to make a panorama photo. When I go to print that combination photo only one of the six photo shows up in the Print window. Only one photo is printed, not the panorama one. I tried using the Finder > Print box and the copy of the panorama photo I had in a folder on the my desktop. That worked. I want to use photo paper for the print and make some adjustments, that doesn't work from the Finder > Print selection. The original panorama photo was a TIFF file and ended up to be 155MB, but I made a copy in JPEG and that file was 13.2MB.
After uninstalling and reinstalling my printer driver I am no longer able to print a document I used to be able to print on the same printer. Â Now I get "The saved printer information is not compatible with this version of Photoshop Elements, or the saved printer is no longer available. You will need to check your printer settings before printing." Â I have confirmed the my settings are correct and I am able to print to the printer using other applications.
the Print Dialog simply will not show up so I can adjust the ICC profiles etc.I have CS6 Upgrade installed (upgraded from CS5) and running on a Windows 8 PC.
I've a question regarding the Print dialog that states "Needs Calibration" just below the drop down for selecting printers. The selected printer is a HP Photosmart C7180 and PS CS5.5. Â What calibration PS is refering to? I've tried the built in pen and color adjustment on the printer but that operation does not seems to be of interest by PS.
CS3 / XP Home. I am trying to print a 7 by 10 in image using my old Canon BJ200 printer. On Page Setup the right margin always default to 2.5 in,despite repeatly input to defferent numbers. I've lowered the image to 300dpi with no effect on print setting. What can I do?
