Mar 23, 2011Is it possible to turn off the selection marks which appear after each drawing stroke when drawing in a freehand style with a wacom pen?
I find it very off-putting to my drawing. In Illustrator and Inkscape it is possible to draw freely without constant selection marks appearing after every stroke of the pen.

Sep 14, 2011We have certain registration marks that we use on our designs before we print to vellum. How to be able to write a macro that could do the following? I've attached an example image of where we place the registration marks and am also attaching the actual registration mark CDR file. I'm assuming this would probably be rather simple...
We'd like this registration mark to be centered to the image and placed on the top and bottom of the image at .25 inches away from the image itself. So, I would think the macro would have to select the entire image on the page, then decide where .25 inches is away from the top and bottom of the image and place the registration mark, centered in that area.

Apr 11, 2013I am so confused with bleed marks for printers. Here is my example.
I am designing a postcard that is 8.5 x 3.66. I set my page size in the layout section to 8.5 x 3.66. In that layout section it also has a bleed button. I check it and type in .125 in. (what the printer requires.
So it adds a dotted line outside . which i understand. Here is my question. When I save as PDF, only the 8.5x3.66 saves and not the bleed area. I need the printer to see the bleed area. They also want crop marks.

Aug 3, 2011Using CD x4.I cut directly from Corel. I was trying to do a simple 2 color vinyl job. I put reg marks but they are only on one layer. I tried copying but they weren't in the same place as the other layer.

Dec 13, 2012I'm trying to sort out an issue with the printer marks being set as black (K) in the print separations dialog.
What I'm trying to do is to print separations to pdf to send out to be printed in plates, for this to work I have to set the option "print separations in color" to true, so that the screen angle does not get screwed when the plates are printed. Now my issue here is that all works well just the printer marks are not in the color respective to their plate, they all are black. This will result in the plates other than the black one to not have any printermarks.
Now if there is a way to say set them to registration color or something so they are then printed right it would be great, otherwise I would need to se printer marks by hand which is a bit of a pain.

May 28, 2011I have noticed that when i make changes to line widths in a drawing using the outline pen, the printed output does not change until i make at least a change of .005". changing it by less than this only changes it on the display.

I have a HP 3535 inkjet printer, and It was prinitng normally for some time, but one day the printer suddenly stopped printing images from the CorelDRAW documents and only prints text and vector images. The same happens in Photo-Paint, it simply prints in blank.
I Tried to restore the program to default settings using the F8 command with no luck. This really annoying and I need to print bitmaps for my work. This happens in all my documents...
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 12 :: Laser Printer With Transparencies Modes?
Oct 3, 2011I was working on an order form design the other day and my boss said we need to fill in some of the empty space, so I suggested we use a dot pattern-esque type watermark of the organization's logo that the order form was for.
For some reason when I sleceted the logo I couldnt access the change brightness contrast option in effects. So I simply made a light gray rectangle, placed it over the logo, clicked on the rectangle with the transparency tool, changed it to uniform, and changed the mode to mulitply or add or something like that. It looked great on screen, but when i sent it to the laser printer with some post script LPI or dot pattern options for the lighter grays, nothing printed out at all from underneath the rectangle.
I tried it through our copying machine, and it worked, but the copying machine has no built in halftone effects for grayscale.

Apr 17, 2010I just upgraded to X5 and now suddenly I am having difficulty printing to my dell 3110cn laser printer. I get the error, "Unable to access printer driver. Try removing and reinstalling this printer driver". If I click OK I get the error a couple of more times followed by "Internal application error." Then Corel Draw crashes. My PC is running Windows 7 64 bit.
I have tried re-installing the printer driver with the latest from dell and uninstalling and re-installing corel draw, but nothing has worked. I am about ready to go back to X4.

I'm trying to install Epilog Laser drivers on a new Win8 laptop, and somehow I have duplicate copies of the same "printer/laser engraver." I'm starting the driver instalation over, and want to remove the duplicate printers in CorelDraw. I've cleaned out all printers in control panel/devices and printers, as well as print drivers. But the duplicate printers remain in Corel X6. I've looked in each Corel folder on my computer it seems, and can't locate it. Would it by chance be a registy file I need to edit

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: Trying To Export Bitmaps To Large Format Printer
Sep 11, 2013Recurring problem i'm having with bitmaps im trying to export to our large format printer. Some bitmaps are coming up with a grey type filter or lens that corel is automatically putting over my photo.
When i export this' filter' remains on the picture.
If i hit 'edit bitmap' the photo comes up normal with all the colours as it should be. Hit 'save' and it goes straight back to having a grey filter over it? Its only with some photos and the other ones are the same profile on the same page? It seems to be always the physically largest one in size (not dpi) I have tried converting to a cmyk bitmap instead of RGB.

Jul 6, 2011I use a wacom Bamboo CTH661 tablet.
When I draw a perfect circle with the tablet, I get an ellipse on the screen, but when if I draw a perfect circle with the circle tool, I get a perfect circle on screen.I hand draw the circle with a round frame, so I'M sure my "handmade" circle is perfect.
Distortion is not very hard, but this mismatch makes sketching harder and I'M not so skilful. I have this problem on both photopaint and Draw x5I. Is there some way or setting on Draw X5 ( and photo paint) to set the tablet and Draw X5 together so I will get what I draw when I sketch ?
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Setting Defaults
Feb 28, 2013I am using Coreldraw X5 and experiencing the following problems.
After writing text and clicking the Pick Tool, the text is instantly 'emboldened'. the only way I can correct this is to select No Outline. Why does this happen?
I can get round this using this procedure: With nothing selected.
From the Outline Pen tool - select No Outline - and tick the Artistic and Paragraph text boxes. And then from the Tools, Options menu, selecting Save Settings as Default and also Tools, Options, Documents, Save Options as Default for New Documents.
The best that happens is that setting the defaults in this way works for that current page. If I open a new page the problem is back.
The above also occurs with text point size, every new page offers Ariel 10 point, I can change this using the above procedure but it is also not permanent. I would be interested in why setting defaults has no affect, and a permanent solution. I have also restarted the computer after 'setting the defaults' to no avail.

Any solutions to automate file imposition and creating custom printer marks in CorelDraw. In addition to some of the standard kinds of marks (crop marks, registration marks, etc.), we also use a variety of custom marks we currently have to create and manually place in our output files (marks needed for our Zund G3 M-2500 digital flatbed cutter, etc.)
I'm seeing some sort of plugin for CorelDraw that automates file imposition and adding printer marks (including the addition of custom marks that we could create and tell it to include along with some parameters -how far from the edge of the document, etc.)
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: CDR Printer Output Appears To Be Grayscale Instead Of Solid Black?
Aug 28, 2012New to CDR X6 just having upgraded from CDR 8.
Printing a black and white layout to my HP LaserJet 4000 produces an image that appears to be grayscale instead of solid black. In other words, my text, line border I've put around the layout and graphics (for the most part), all appear about 70-80% black instead of SOLID black. Small text doesn't appear to be nearly as sharp because it looks like a halftone instead solid black. On one layout I just printed, the entire thing appears halftoned except for one vector graphic that did print in solid black. Strange. I figured I have something set incorrectly in the software or printer. Has to be the CDR X6 software though because all other programs output just fine.
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Deploying / Setting Permissions
Apr 8, 2011I am in the process of deploying CorelDraw X5 to about 20 users in my company. The options I have available are to use Group Policy, SCCM 2007, or a couple of 3rd party programs. The specific users which this deployment will be advertised to will basically be using it as a CDR / EPS viewer only. In fact, we do not want them to be able to edit anything and save or export it.
Given the above, her are my two questions:
1. What are my options for deploying CorelDraw over the network? I saw the trial uses an installer, but have the image of the disc which I may use too. Neither have MSI files, though.
2. Are there any methods for controlling security of certain users / workstations on what the can or cannot do in CorelDraw? An administrative template for Group Policy would be ideal. We really just don't want them to be able to save - however - the file must be viewed, then sent by them so the idea of a Share set as Read Only wouldn't work.
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: Color Management - Black All Raster When Printing On Laser Printer
May 16, 2012I have a problem with CorelDraw X6.
When printing 100% black on laser printer the Black is all in raster. Very strange because the same file printed from X4 /same PC and same printer/ is OK and is not in raster.
Probably the problem is somewere in X6.
I don't belive that the problem is in the color management because it's the same as my X5 and there all is OK too.

Feb 4, 2013I export many web graphics at the same size so with x6. I thought I would love the presets with x6 however when I set the preset to export like at 700px width it changes and re-sizes the exported graphic to 350px width. It show 700px on the screen when I load the preset however right when I click export or if I place me cursor in the transformation box it changes. I even tried to change it too 1400px hoping it would then change it to 700px but it still changes it to 350px.
