That worked. I want to use photo paper for the print and make some adjustments, that doesn't work from the Finder > Print selection. The original panorama photo was a TIFF file and ended up to be 155MB, but I made a copy in JPEG and that file was 13.2MB.

Â
Now I get "The saved printer information is not compatible with this version of Photoshop Elements, or the saved printer is no longer available. You will need to check your printer settings before printing."
Â
I have confirmed the my settings are correct and I am able to print to the printer using other applications.
Wondering how to best format prints for printer to avoid visible edge loss in printing. I have color borders on the photos, H & V.Do I subtract a 1/4th inch from each side while formatting? Order with "border" and cut the border?Â

Prints will be mounted on standzard 16 x20 backboard.
I have multiple layout pages (58 pages) and would like to print them in a printer at once. How do I do that?
Currently, I open 1 layout at a time then print it 1 by 1, in which its killing me specially if I do have lots of drawings.
Publish does saving in DWF, PDF... But does not print in the printer.
I am designing a business card that has lime green as a main color, and I am finding it impossible to find a commercial printer that will print in RGB! I completely understand the difference between the 2 color pallets I just don't understand why I can not find one printer that will print RGB! So does that mean any business card I ever do can never have bright colors?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am trying to print a psd file via CS4 and I am receiving the following error message: Before you can perform printer-relate tasks such as page setup or printing a document, you need to install a printer I DO have a printer installed and can in fact print out a different psd file.....and print something via Word. I tried to check my page setup for this document but I can't do that either. Any ideas of what might be causing this problem?? I even uninstalled and reinstalled my printer.....and rebooted too. If it matters, I am trying to print to a Canon MP980 printer via a wireless setup. I am running under Vista.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI cannot seem to see the custom Printer Profiles I have for certain papersin the Print Dialog.I have added the Print Profiles to Library > Application Support > Adobe > Color > Profiles (and also in Recommended)
Â
But in the Print Dialog under Colour Management > Photoshop Handles Colour > Print Profile - they are not showing. I have done things like restarting Photoshop and converting the image to CMYK from RGB.
Â
I can see the profiles in the Proofing menu and am able to select them.without using the profiles my colour management is completely off kilter. Also, can I confirm that I am putting the printer profiles in the correct folder?
Note that the Illustrator, Indesign and Acrobat print dialogues see all my (custom) printer profiles.
Â
Even Photoshop sees them in the Apply Profile and Convert to Profile dialogues: just not when trying to print.
Since recent upgrade to win 8 from 7 HP printer will not accurately print from Photosmart 7.0.1
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhy can't I get my Epson Printer to print the colors on the monitor>  First time this is happening.  Printer is new...ink okay...and history with the printer has been okay.  Took some photo's yesterday...blue heron, picking up a fish in a pond.  Water is blue...heron is grey and white and has other yellowish and maroon coloring as well. The fish he caught was a gold fish.  The colors on the monitor are wonderful.
Â
The photo's were cropped severely.  But are still clear.   Now the water is pink...and the heron is a disgusting color of grey green.  Have chosen ICM...chosen Adobe color profile. Used premium glossy white papers, Epson inks. Â
Â
Tried printing it out without ICM and with different papers....still the same...Either everything is hot pink, or dull gray brown. This was my first ever heron photo that had any merit, and I so want to print it out for everyone to see. I was so lucky to catch the fishing capture. Does the cropping have anything to do with the printing of the photo?
CS3 / XP Home. I am trying to print a 7 by 10 in image using my old Canon BJ200 printer. On Page Setup the right margin always default to 2.5 in,despite repeatly input to defferent numbers. I've lowered the image to 300dpi with no effect on print setting. What can I do?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded and installed LR5 successfully to my iMac (2012) running OS 10.8.4. Everything seems to be working fine (LR4 catalog converted, Import works fine, etc.) EXCEPT printing to the same HP printer I use with LR4. When I press the Print button after setting things up, the bar on the upper left corner proceeds quickly, the message Task Completed appears (and goes away quickly), BUT...nothing happens on the printer. It just does not get the print job sent to it. The iMac reports that the printer is Idle, there is no record of a job being received.
Â
I checked the printer, it works fine. I can print from Photoshop without a gltch. So, comunication between the computer and the printer does not seem to be the issue.
My epson R1900 printer will not print the color green- all inks are full
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo in CS5 we were able to print to the custom sizes we created in the print screen for our HP Z3200, but for some reason we haven't been able to use the custom sizes in CS6, you click on a custom size and when you say ok from the printer settings and it goes back into Photoshop print settings it binks back to 8.5x11. You can use the standard sizes that came with the HP print software, but not any custom sizes you create. Is there a setting somewhere in Photoshop that I need to change?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have 17 printers installed. all but 2 use match orientation. The Canon W6400PG and the MP 5500 use printer orientation. Is there a way to change those 2 to match all the others that work just fine? The default is the HP LaserJet 1200 Series PCL 5.
Current System: i3 3.07ghz, 3gb ram, Windows 7 32 bit with all updates and X6
Gimp is 2.6.11 (with the print bug fixed!?)
Printer is Kodak ESP5200 All in One, operating in wireless mode.
Op sys is Windows 7.
Symptom: any print request from GIMP results in the printer stuck at 0% spooled.
Going to other (native) Windoze applications for printing really sucks. The built in print function scales to whatever it thinks convenient. Windows Paint also does ambiguous scaling. All I want is an exact scale print ... and GIMP used to do this very well.
Clarification added: GIMP handles dimensions perfectly, and all I want is for it to print. I have no interest / desire to push the image in to some other application just to get it printed.
can i print from adobe illustrator cs 6 to a non postscript printer?

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy company will be getting a new large format printer to replace the current one we have. We don't have room enough to have both running at the same time so I'm imagining one-day down then viola, we have a new printer.
How I can prepare for this as far as creating the necessary Plot Styles, pc3, pmp...files? Because i have many items on my to-do list, this could take a day or two with all the testing and i can't image the uproar from our CADers about going without a plotter for two or three days.
When I print to .pdf for A1 and plot, no worries, all lineweights print solid and perfectly. However, when I print to .pdf for A3 (scaling lineweights), whilst all the lineweights appear solid on the screen, when I plot the layers that are set to transparency are faded/rough/broken on paper.
Ticking the plot transparency box doesn't work and it happens to my printer at home and at work. I haven't used transparent layers before and have adopted this drawing created through someone else.
When set it to use 11x17 paper it will print 8.5x11 which is the default size for the printer. So if I change the printer options to default to 11x17 it will print with 11x17. Changing the color between color, greyscale, and blackandwhite don't affect the prints either.
Also is there a way to detect the default printer since I noticed when I "printed" a pdf manually and then tried this script it used the pdf printer and not the default printer, which I would always want to use.
Â
Public Sub Single_Print_11x17() Dim oPrintMgr As PrintManager Set oPrintMgr = ThisApplication.ActiveDocument.PrintManager If MsgBox("Using default printer """ & oPrintMgr.printer & """ with 11x17 paper. Do you want to continue?", vbYesNo + vbQuestion) = vbNo Then Exit Sub Print_doc printer:=oPrintMgr.printer, paper:=kPaperSize11x17, black_white:=TrueEnd Sub
If you notice that i'm not using two of the arguements in the function that are passed, that's because they don't appear to affect anything so I just left some of it hard coded. When/if I can get the different options working I'll start using the arguements more since I have plans.
Â
Function Print_doc(ByVal printer As String, ByVal paper As String, ByVal black_white As Boolean) If ThisApplication.ActiveDocument.DocumentType <> kDrawingDocumentObject Then Exit Function Dim oDrgDoc As DrawingDocument Set oDrgDoc = ThisApplication.ActiveDocument Dim oDrgPrintMgr As DrawingPrintManager Set oDrgPrintMgr = oDrgDoc.PrintManager 'choose printer works oDrgPrintMgr.printer = printer 'choose sheets works oDrgPrintMgr.PrintRange = kPrintAllSheets 'choose size doesn't work oDrgPrintMgr.PaperSize = kPaperSize11x17 'choose scale works oDrgPrintMgr.ScaleMode = kPrintBestFitScale 'color/black & white don't work oDrgPrintMgr.ColorMode = kPrintGrayScale oDrgPrintMgr.AllColorsAsBlack = black_white oDrgPrintMgr.SubmitPrintEnd Function
Â
I'd love to get all these options working since I want to be able to select size and color options when using my print scripts.
