View 7 Replies View RelatedI need to print large photos on a small printer and then mount them together on a large board, but no matter how I do it I seem to get either overlap of gaps between the printed photos. I found a good way to mount the photos so the edges of the paper are not too visible (from a distance), but I can still see gaps and overlays. The Photo image has a width of 24 in by 33 in. I'm trying to print it on nine (9) 8X11 papers.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have my own party decoration business. I had to stop my printing services because out of the blue one day, my printer just messed up everything. I no longer have it as it broke down, but now I have the same problem with no matter what printer I use to print the same file. It's suppose to print purple, and it prints the purple parts pink. It turns the aqua blue into more of a royal blue. I am using Photoshop 7.0. It also did the same thing to me in CS2.

I have tried 4 different computers, 3 different printers, and 3 different operating systems.
Throughout a project using Photoshop CS4, I print out the pages to make a dummy booklet. Once, upon opening the file and wanting to print, the preview window for Epson Stylus Photo R2400 printer showed a color inverse for the entire file. Viewing the images is normal in all ways. I had been making routine nudging, text editing, etc., on various layers and everything looked and behaved fine. It's only in the printing. I looked to see where a correction could be made, but I can't see anything. I tried to have the printer make color adjustments and have Photoshop make them.
View 5 Replies View RelatedAs indicated by title I have just switched to a newer computer from a system using XP and corel draw 8 to a new system using Win7 and corel draw X3 and using the same printer (buisness inkjet 2230). I have never had any problems printing before but now every time i print my pages are offset to the right. The only solution I have found is that I can change the printer page (in print preview) to the left. But though my many attempts to do this works fine, saving it as a default just won't work. After saving as default next time I open a document it switches to old layout. I have even tried going to print defaults folder, deleting all corel's defaults, and then saving and somehow it just reverts back to regular settings. make life simpler than changing print area every time?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI get a slight difference in color in my prints my when I use LR prifile vs Canon printer managed. The Canon is much truer to what I see on both monitors which, btw, are calibrated. LR throws in a slight magenta cast. Is there a way to correct this?

But in the Print Dialog under Colour Management > Photoshop Handles Colour > Print Profile - they are not showing. I have done things like restarting Photoshop and converting the image to CMYK from RGB.

I can see the profiles in the Proofing menu and am able to select them.without using the profiles my colour management is completely off kilter.Also, can I confirm that I am putting the printer profiles in the correct folder?
I recently got a new computer, with Windows Vista. I used my wife's existing CD to install Paint Shop Pro 7 (from 2001 - yikes!). It seems fine, except for a few of the preferences. The BIG problem is that the [Printer] button on the Page Setup dialog no longer appears! Here's the verbiage from the PaintShopPro7 user guide:
6To surround the image with a color, click the Background button. When the Color dialog box opens, choose the color. The area of the paper from the image edge to the paper margin will be covered with this color.
7Click the Printer button to open the printer.
8Click OK to close the dialog box and save the settings.
Why can't I set the print quality to best on HP Photosmart 7520 with either PSE 8 or 11. I can with Lightroom 4.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI use the histogram feature in PS to figure out how many square feet of yarn I will use in a rug that I am making (I work as a rug designer). I am running into a problem with this which is scary because my numbers have to be accurate.

As an example, I may have a 9x12 (inch--this is later blown up to feet using a transparency) drawing. In the drawing there may be 45 organic looking shapes that will be green. I use the magic wand tool and choose all of these green shapes. What I am noticing is that once I get to a certain number (not always consistent) in the histogram reading it will all of a sudden change to a different number and go to (for example) Cache 3. Because of this I have no idea if my histogram reading is accurate.

Is this some sort of memory issue? How do I prevent this from happening so that I can get an accurate heading?

I am trying to learn what has been done to the top photo to give the look of the bottom photo.Black suit looks navy, but not too much of the original photo is different. White seems brighter and blue seems bluer.
I tried using colour match in photoshop but it didn't look the same.
Can we interrupt actions in between and give input??
View 5 Replies View RelatedI shot a photo yesterday which has a reddish tint to it. This “warm glow” is very important to the image and I put a lot of work into getting it right. The image was shot as a DNG and manipulate in Photoshop, I saved it as a .psd for further manipulation or correction.
Now that I got it right I lowered the bits from 16 to 8 and saved the .psd as a .jpg and it looks great in photoshop, can’t see the difference on my humble monitor. But when I open the same jpg file in another viewer like irfanview, that warm reddish glow is gone and there is slightly green cast over the picture which is totally wrong.
I tried it including the ICC and without, with save for web and save as jpg, always the same greenish tint which I don't see in photoshop.
How do I get a jpg with the same colors? I want to offer it as a print on redbubble.com, so I need a high quality JPEG with the right colors.

I created the image in Photoshop CS3 and exported as gif.
I use Bridge as my main photo organisation app. I rate my shots from 1-5 stars and then tend to double click on ones to edit them in PS. After saving the edited shot as a jpg with "_edited" added to the filename, I apply a label which is called 'Enhanced' and then apply a 'Original' label to the original jpg. This lets me immediately filter of my edited/enhanced shots in Bridge and locate the originals if I need them. It also makes the edited files stand out when looked at in a file view of Explorer etc .
Is there an action or script I can create so that when I've finished editing a jpg it will take the original file name, add "_edited", save it as quality 10, baseline optimised, then apply the 'Optimised' label to the new file and exit the original jpg without saving but with applying the 'Original" label?
I've created a curved path and am having probs creating an even line using the Stroke Path tool. For some reason, the line gest heavier in places and I just want an even smooth thin line. I've tried using the brush and the pencil tools... screengrabs below. Would really appreciate any advice. Thanks! View 4 Replies View RelatedI have created many different objects in Photoshop and placed them exactly where I want them. I do now however need a stroke, and the stroke in photoshop is rounded, and I need a stroke with sharp corners.

Therefor I need to import all of the images together into Illustrator and give them a stroke. The only problem is that when I import the images all of them get created into one object with a white background, and when I apply a stroke, it applies it to the rectangle surrounding all the objects. How can I fix this?
So, I'm having an issue. I'm working on a file, there are colors already on it, and when I try to eyedrop the colors again to use them Photoshop doesn't give me the same color.

For example: I have a red square and blue square on page. I eyedrop the red (after I've finish painting the blue) and start painting, but it's a shade darker. The same happens when I go to the blue. I eyedrop the new shade and it becomes even darker
I was trying to resize some images to 1080 x 1920 (tiff) using Image Processor but the resulting images came out as 1080 x 1620 and the filesize appears to have remained unchanged. Similarly, another time 720 x 576 came out as 720 x 540.

Save For Web offers 5 resampling algorithms (the same 5 as in Image Size, ignoring "Bicubic Automatic", of course) for when the output is being resized.

All choices except "Nearest Neighbor" output an identical image (which is different to all results of Image Size). Although the "Bilinear" output contains the same pixels as the output of the 3 bicubics, its file size is slightly different than their shared file size.
