Photoshop :: Place Text Position By %?

Sep 9, 2008

I'm trying to watermark a whole bunch of my photos with an Action, but I need to know how to align the text to the bottom right corner, like by percentage. Using pixel values won't do me any good since every image is a different size. Anybody know a way, or some alternative to get this effect?

Edge Animate CC :: How To Adjust The Position Of Text In Order For Animation Text To Be Visible

Mar 3, 2013

I have created my Animation:

The stage size you see above is H: 400px, W: 550px.

I would like for the stage to be smaller, say H:50px./W:400px

Ok so if I change the size of the stage the animation text will not show, so I need to adjust the position of the text in order for the animation text to be visible, but in doing that, I am disrupting the timeline and the animation goes all funny, is there another way of doing this without disrputing the timeline?

AutoCad 2D :: When Change Justification Of Text The Insert Snap Of Text Stays Fixed But Changes Position

Jun 22, 2011

in Autocad when you change the justification of text the insert snap of the text stays fixed and the text changes position around this point.

Using the JUSTIFYTEXT command you can change the justification of the text without changing its position. However this command is operated through the command bar of dynamic input. What I would like to do is to have the justification change in the quick properties this way.

Photoshop :: Create Action To Position Text

Jan 31, 2009

Anyway, my quest is to create an action in CS3 that will position and size text (eg. center) as a watermark in any size image. Currently I am creating a copyright symbol, then a text layer and then another text layer and either grouping them in the action or merging them down as created to be in one layer. This works fine as long as I run the action on another file of the same size but when it comes across a different size file the components are all over the place and differently sized.

I gotta admit I don't know a lot about text though. Just thought someone may be able to help me with this one so thanks to all who contribute.

Paint Shop Pro :: Text Position And Matrix?

May 7, 2012

This part is logical. Add text to a vector layer and write a script to show the text and the position. From what I can tell, the Characters key is the text and the Start key is the (X,Y) position.

So far no problem, click the text 1 pixel right and the Start[0] increases by 1. Same with 1 pixel down and Start[1] increases by 1.

Now for the crunch... Rotate the text and Start does not change (no matter how much you move the text).

By trail and error, I find that the Matrix key changes.

Now, Matrix has 9 values and from what I can tell Matrix[0], Matrix[1], Matrix[3] and Matrix[4] somehow relate to angle. Probably sin and cos of the angle from the x- and y- axis respectively.

Matrix [2] and Matrix[5] do increase linearly with shifts in x and y. How does this relate to the actual position of the text

You can see a more detailed description of the problem and my sample script here. [URL]

AutoCAD 2010 :: Force Attribute Position To Remain Fixed In Drawing When Moving Block Position

Jul 12, 2013

Is it possible to setup a block so that an attribute position remaines fixed (absolute to drawing) when moving the block?

I've been playing around with creating a Coordinate Block by following these instructions: [URL] ........

What I would like is to be able to set the position of the Coordinate Label and Coordinate Object independently, so that if I move one in the drawing, it doesn't move the other.  I've looked into Dynamic Blocks, and the "Lock Position" parameter. I can move the attribute independently, but still everytime I move the block, the attribute moves too.

Our company uses a custom Sheet/Coordinate system to follow flyoffs across a drawing, and I'm trying to learn how to automate the process.  It's completely manually right now, so any changes to a drawing creates a lot of work renumbering these flyoffs.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Text Format Box Default Position?

Mar 6, 2013

change the default position the Text Format box opens in when double clicking on text to open the editor?

I have downloaded a list of system variables but have been unable to identify a system variable to control the location of the Text Format box.

Every time I double click on text to open the text editor the Text Format box opens directly on top of the text forcing me to drag the Text Format box out of the way to be able to see what I'm typing as I edit the text.

Some one in our office pointed out that the Text Format box is defaulting to open in the center of the screen and that if I want to avoid the conflict I should zoom or pan to a point where the text I wat to edit is not in the center of the screen. This is a major PITA that requires significant retraining as I ALWAYS zooom and pan to place what I am editing in the center of the screen. Twenty two years of AutoCAD use creates habits that are difficult to alter. I would think most people would do this by default and having the Text Format box default to opening in the center of the screen was a rather shortsighted choice by the programmer.

Shouldn't the placement of the Text Format box be relative to the location of the text chosen for editing, say above or below on the screen rather than defaulting to a set location?

Illustrator SDK :: Getting Global Position Matrix For Each Text Character

Feb 24, 2012

I need to get the position and orientation of the first and the last character in a text frame art, that is, I need its  matrix.There are a number of functions in the API that is supposed; here's a snippet from the file ATESuites.h

Return transformation matrix of this run.The matrix returned spesify the full transformation of the given run.  You need to transform the origin by IGlyphRun::GetOrigins() and

concat with ITextFrame::GetMatrix() in order to get the location of the glyphs.
ATEErr (*GetMatrix) ( GlyphRunRef glyphrun, ASRealMatrix* ret);

Hence, getting the matrix of the first character or glyph should look something like this:

AIErr
VMGetFirstTextMatrix(  AIArtHandle textArt, AIRealMatrix *matrix)
{
    ASRealMatrix frameMatrix, glyphMatrix;
    ASRealPoint firstPoint;
    try
    {
[code]....

But the coordinates, either returned in frameMatrix (tx and ty) or the firstPoint are obviously wrong. It appears that they an offset which is allmost constant.  The x-values are approx 7664 points too large (give and take a few decimals), and the y-values are approx 7893 too large (also give and take a few decimals).

Illustrator :: CS6 - Entering Text At Certain Point / Position I-Beam?

Jul 9, 2012

I'm currently running AI CS6.  In previous releases, when I wanted to start entering text at a certain point (with the regular type tool) I would position the I-beam at the vertical line where I wanted to start, and with the little horizonal line of the I-beam on the horizontal line where I wanted to start, and click.  But in CS6, that click seems to position the text on the left-most dotted line surrounding the I-beam, rather on the I-beam itself.  Is there some parameter I can set so that the I-beam determines the starting point of text?  Or do I just need to adjust my thinking to a different way?

AutoCad :: How To Justify All Text Inside Of Block To Right Without Retaining Position

May 17, 2013

I am trying to align all of the text inside of a block and have it actually align the text instead of having it keep it original position (like when you use "Justifytext" command). For example: We use blocks for fire alarm devices that we insert into drawings. When the devices are inserted they look like this (Middle left):

15CD
TBD
TBD
1/4W

I can double click each line of these texts, have the eattedit window pop up, go to "text options" tab, click the drop down menu for "Justification:" and then choose my justification(middle right); then the text will actually move to align itself with my justification, causing my text to end up like this:

15CD
..TBD (Roughly like this, only perfectly straight vertically on the right hand side)
..TBD (ignore the dots, i had to insert them for the spacing to be correct for
1/4W this example)

When I type "Justifytext", select my block, choose my justification (Middle right), just the snap point moves to that justification without the text actually moving at all, causing my text to end up like this:

15CD
TBD
TBD
1/4W

We have a problem in some of our views (mostly dependent views), Central file.We place normal annotation text (not littera) and everything looks fine.

Then it happens, random can take days, and noone tuch the views nor the text style, that the text duplicate itself up to 1-4 times, and also change its location on the view.(The text don't lie on each other, but spread around the view, but keeps the condition in location to each other from the origin texts that was placed)

When we have encounter this we have deleted the copys and placed the text right again and then it works for a while...everything repeats itself, and in the end (random timeflow) the text deletes itself completely.

AutoCad 2D :: Scaling Text Field Size Without Moving Its Position?

Jun 22, 2012

I am trying to enlarge the text from an exported cad drawing from Dialux (lighting calculation software)...it has exported a field of values over a large area but the text is really small and illegible when its plotted as an A1 pdf

Is there anyway to blow all the text values up at once without moving them from their positions with relation to the boundaries of the roads and buildings? Here is a screenshot of the view with CAD...this is a small area of the entire scheme and those little black smudges are the numbers i need to scale

CAD Screenshot.jpg

I guess in a 3D program this would be equivalent to having the pivot point located in the centre of each set of numbers so you could scale them using the centre of each number as its scale point but I am stumped by how to do this in Autocad Architecture 2011..
