I download the NVIDIA DDS plug-ins for Photoshop CS5.1.I placed them in C: Program Files (x86) Adobe Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 Plug-insScreenshot of the Plug-ins folder (I overshadowed the other files .. i didn't tought that was so neccesarry..)
I have seen instructions on doing this -simply open the file. But it doesn't specify the file format of the video file. When I attempt to open an avchd video file PS complains that it is not the right file type. My PS5 extended is up to date.
I purchased CS5.5 extended about 3 weeks ago and all was working fine. Just yesterday Photoshop started crashing whenever I try to open files. I've deleted preferences several times, validated my fonts, restarted my Mac, etc. all to no avail. Photoshop has become useless to me and it's part of how I make my living. InDesign seems to work OK but I haven't tried Illustrator yet.
Here is last night's crash report (half the time it crashes with no report). I have a mid-2011 Mini with 8 GB memory and a 1 TB 3rd party drive that I installed. It's the i7 processor, 2.7 GHz. All has been well for months now, until a week ago or so when I suddenly get these two messages upon trying to open PS: "Could not open a scratch file because the disk is not available," and "Could not open a scratch file because the disk is not available." I opened the machine yesterday to check the connector from the HD to the unit, put it back togther, and still no luck.
I have created a new PSD file and worked on it and finally saved the file, but now i can't open the file any more. PS always fails to open the file, because of an internal error.
I have tried to open some other PSD files, but 3 of 4 files (on my current HDD) didn't work to open and i don't know why. All of those other PSD files are at least 1 month old and PS could open these files. The last time i have opened these files was two weeks ago. The one PSD file, that worked has the following properties:
image: 1179x1528, 72ppi,8bit,RGB, 15,04 MB
and the files that don't work have the following properties:
I have got, the meta-data out of Adobe Bridge. I can see the preview Image and the thumbnails in the open-dialog of PS. I tried to open the file with other applications like Paintshop Pro and PhotoImpact and both couldn't open them. Paintshop Pro quits, because it doesn't support the "color model".
I don't know, what else i can do to open these files. I looked around the forum but couldn't find any solution for my problem.
I'm trying to open .3DS files in Photoshop CS6 extended, but it is giving me the error message: "could not complete your request because 3d functionality is currently disabled due OpenGL being disabled". At first it opened a few files and worked fine, then it just stopped opening them and now only displays the error message. Â Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.0.1 (13.0.1.2 20130522.r.24 2013/05/22:21:00:00) x64 Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit Version: 6.1 Service Pack 1 System architecture: Intel CPU Family:6, Model:10, Stepping:7 with MMX, SSE Integer, SSE FP, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, HyperThreading [code]...
I just dropped a very large sum of $ to purchase CS4 Extended and the #$*@# thing is taking over 5 minutes to open!!! (Yes, I've timed it.) Once open it appears to run fine, although I've yet to put it through it's paces much. The obvious answer would be that I have an undersized slow computer. However, that is far from the case. I have a brand new Dell laptop with plenty of 'horsepower', much more than the system requirements listed on the outside of the box. It does the same thing with both the 64 bit and 32 bit version.
Here are a few of the "vitals" on the laptop: Operating System: Windows Vista 64-bit Version: 6.0 Service Pack 1Processor Core Duo2: 2493 MHzVideo Card: VIDI GeForce 8600M 250MB GT/PCI/SSE2Built-in memory: 4093 MBImage cache levels: 4Hard Drive: 500G
I been using the CS6 extended 30 day trial, still have 13 days. left. I used to open the video frames for (gif) sas avi files with ease. All of a sudden I couldn't open any video frames anymore, why is that? They used to be opened with ease. Now when I clicked import video frames to layers it always comes back to the message 'cannot open video frames to layers because the file cannot be opened'. It all worked with the same file before so why didn't it work now?
I have downloaded the Camera_Raw_5_7, but have been unsuccessful at getting it to work...? Says could not complete request because of a program error?
I've just installed and updated PS 11 extended and I've noticed the following change. When I open or create a document it always opens maximized. I hate working like that, I only ever work in floating windows, so every single time I open or create a document I first have to tell it to float.
I Have Photoshop CS6 Extended (on Windows 7 - 64bit). Â But it does not open my .psd files, only if I run Photoshop CS6 and go File > Open > "and then open the file", it will open, but If I go to the file it self it does not recognize CS6 as the default program or to open it. It tells me it cannot find a program to open the .psd file with. I have tried several times to set the Default Program but it is not even there and if I click on "browse" to find Photoshop and click "open" it does not open or show Photoshop in the Default Programs. Â Now I accidently clicked on coreldraw and I don't want my .psd files opening with coreldraw! because I hardly use coreldraw, I only needed it for my studies. When I had CS5 it worked and opened fine, with CS6 the .psd files just don't find Photoshop.how can I fix this so that my .psd files get recognized?
I have PS CS4 Extended 11. I have tried to open RAW (NEF) pictures from my NIKON D3100. I get the error message 'Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document'. I have tried downloading the latest update. I currently have Camera RAW Version 5.7.0.213. I have also downloaded the DNG converter but I still get the same error. I am using Windows 7 on a laptop.
Whenever I try to open a file in Photoshop CS 5 extended it says it is not the right kind of document. I've checked the file extensions which are correct. The files themselves are not corrupt as I can open them in other programs..
Couple days ago I got a problem. When I try to open extended menu, like Open ->, or Save ->, or Import/Export, 3ds max crashes with "application closed" error. Problem on 3ds MAX 2010 and 2011 in x64 versions. x86 work fine. Service Packs installed. OS Windows 7 x64. Drivers updated, and workis fine.
This solutions did not resolve a problem: - reinstall 3ds MAX - reset user and max settings / deleting enu folder - there is no backup for windows recovery
Can it be, than some windows libraries damaged, or some dll missed? Do not know what to do else, except full windows reinstall.
I have autocad civil 3d 2008 in my pc. From last 2 days I got a different problem i.e. when I am selecting open / save command from File menu graphical file select explorer is not opening just message in the command window . Previously I used to select files using graphical file explorer.
I started using Photoshop cs6 extended yesterday. i have no problem on tools but i have problem on saving my files in Photoshop cs6 extended. i've tried to save my files like being shown in tutorials but when i click on the 'save' or 'save as' button, nothing appear on my screen.
Accessing metadata in Photoshop CS6 extended (file info) for any file, raw or .psd., causes application to freeze. I must force quit the application to continue. Application is running on OSX Lion.Â
I had worked out a psd file within ITC Zapf Dingbats font. But now I can't edit it in new purchased Ps Cs6 extend. copy the font from my older Xp laptop (Ps6) to the newest Win7 laptop (Ps Cs6)?
I have tried multiple times now to download a trial for Photoshop CS6 Extended. Everyone says that the CS6 trial is already the extended version and only changes based on your serial number at purchase but every time I try to open a video project of mine it says "This file contains a timeline-based animation (Photoshop Extended only)"
Currently I am running PhotoShop extended CS5, 64bit. in which i have my fovorite plugins (Topaz, Nik and OneOne) running perfectly. Â I have upgraded to Adobe Creative Cloud and installed PhotoShop extended CS6 using Adobe Application Manager as recommended. It didn't ask me if I wanted to upgrade or do a new install for PhotoShop. So now I CS6 running with no Plug-ins. I need my plugins! LOL. Â I tried pointing to additional plugins in the CS6 preference to the CS5 plugin folder. Upon Launch it gave me a whole slew of error messages saying something cant load or launch C+ runtime error or what not. It does open up, but it only gives access to Nik and Topaz. OnOne doesn't show up under filters or extensions. Â So, what are my options? Â Just copy the plugins from CS5 to CS6? Â I dont't want to reinstall all the plugins to CS6 if I don't have to as I've auto updated them over time to current versions online, so only have installation files for my original purchases.
I'm happy with the NX version, but if I want to upgrade to XT, how do I do it? I looked on the upgrade options for XT and upgrading from NX, is not there.
When I first installed Adobe Photoshop CS6 I was unable to run Photoshop or Bridge CS6. Photoshop would give me an error about "could not open a scratch file because the file is locked. If I ran either of these programs as an administrator they would run without issue, this led me to believe that there was a permission issue somewhere. After some digging I found out the both Bridge and Photoshop try to create a temp file (similiar to Photoshop Temp2777223910092) on the c: drive of the computer. In my case the user that I was logged in with did not have access to write to the root of the C: drive. Note that you run the program as the administrator and change the scratch disk location as that changes the preference for the administrator user and not the user that you are currently logged in as.  I first had to give the user that I was logged on with write permissions to the root of the C: drive. Next try and run Photoshop, you will get an error another error about the scratch disk and about and invalid or missing setting file. To correct this you need to have run Photoshop as an administrator, next you can go to Users AdminAppDataRoamingAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS6Adobe Photoshop CS6 Settings and copy Adobe Photoshop CS6 Prefs and/or Adobe Photoshop X64 CS6 Prefs to Users<your logged in username>AppDataRoamingAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS6.Adobe Photoshop CS6 Settings.
Everything I read says its version 6.4, but when I attempt to run the 6.4 patch I get the message that it does not apply? Has Adobe prevented PSE7 from opening .NEF files from the D5100 (without conversion) in an effort to force paid upgrades to the current PSE version?
I am trying to open a video to edit within Photoshop CS6 x64. I am getting the following message:-  Could not place the document ‘IMG_1664.MOV’ because no parser or file format can open the file.  The video was shot on my iphone 4S and ive even tried converting to other formats yet Photoshop still gives the same error. I have checked through Bridge and I have no option to send to Photoshop on the right click menu. try out the new features of CS6 for video editing.  I am running a 27" iMac with 12gb RAM and 1gb of Video RAM.
Getting this error when trying to use downloaded ACTIONS. "Could not place the document ‘Photoshop_Actions_03_by_ReehBR.atn’ because no parser or file format can open the file."
