Photoshop :: Just Downloaded Update For CS6 Extended And Bridge Will Not Open?
Aug 30, 2013I still have CS5 Extended on my Mac for the time being, and Bridge won't open with either program. Not sure what to do to fix.

Photoshop :: CS6 Is Downloaded Even Though Link States CS6 Extended
Aug 6, 2012I had downloaded Photoshop CS6 from the official Adobe site here URL....product=photoshop), and wanted to only test it out. uninstalled all my Microsoft Visual C++ products, not knowing that these were important for Photoshop. Anyways, Photoshop was having all errors etc. and I had to uninstall it (the 30 days weren't over yet, by the way). Now I have downloaded the Microsoft C++ products again, and I wanted to download Photoshop CS6 Extended again - it all was installed it perfectly, but when I opened the program, it was just Photoshop CS6 and not Photoshop CS6 Extended (and I want it because of the 3D options etc.) - and I was using the same download link from above. So, why has it downloaded the "wrong" product now?

Aug 17, 2012I am using CS 5 Extended, OS Lion, on an iMac. Recently used Bridge to sort several hundred 35mm slides that were digitally processed using a professional service. I transferred the digitized files to a "master" file in Finder on the computer and set up multiple subfolders in Finder to sort the files into easily identifiable events.    I used Bridge like a light table to transfer the individual slides from the "master" file into the individual subfolders.Â
In Bridge I can see both the master file and the subfolders in the side window. In Bridge I transferred the individual sldes from the master file to the correct subfolder using the drag and drop method. I used Bridge to further sort inside the individual subfolders and rename the files inside the subfolders. When I was done, Bridge did not show any slides in the master file - all files had been transferred to the subfolders.  In Finder I can still see all the files in the "master file" and also all the files that have been transferred to the subfolders. Bridge still will not "see" any files in the "master file". In Finder, are the files in the subfolders "copies'? Is this a proper way to use Bridge for sorting ? In there a better method?

Jun 12, 2012Have been using the Extended version a couple of days now, and i`m struggling big time with BSOD in CS and complete freezes that needs a hard restart. Error code 0x000000124. I know it`s a classic one.

The BSOD`s also happens when i have used Photoshop and then have closed it. The time when it happens is always in my Flightsim X. I KNOW it`s not my Flightsim`s fault because i had this problem straight away after i installed CS6.

Now when I launch Photoshop, it also launches Adobe Application Manager which informs me "Sign In Required" to register my trial software which in the title bar of Adobe Application Manager, reads: Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended.

Nov 9, 2012I have a mid-2011 Mini with 8 GB memory and a 1 TB 3rd party drive that I installed. It's the i7 processor, 2.7 GHz. All has been well for months now, until a week ago or so when I suddenly get these two messages upon trying to open PS: "Could not open a scratch file because the disk is not available," and "Could not open a scratch file because the disk is not available." I opened the machine yesterday to check the connector from the HD to the unit, put it back togther, and still no luck.

Feb 25, 2008I have created a new PSD file and worked on it and finally saved the file, but now i can't open the file any more. PS always fails to open the file, because of an internal error.
I have tried to open some other PSD files, but 3 of 4 files (on my current HDD) didn't work to open and i don't know why. All of those other PSD files are at least 1 month old and PS could open these files. The last time i have opened these files was two weeks ago. The one PSD file, that worked has the following properties:
image: 1179x1528, 72ppi,8bit,RGB, 15,04 MB
and the files that don't work have the following properties:
image1: 454x340, 71ppi, 16bit, RGB, sRGB (profile), 1,17 MB
image2: 1280x1024, 71ppi, 8bit, RGB, sRGB, 1,92 MB
image3: 1191x1644, 71ppi, 16bit, RGB, sRGB, 12,02 MB
I have got, the meta-data out of Adobe Bridge. I can see the preview Image and the thumbnails in the open-dialog of PS. I tried to open the file with other applications like Paintshop Pro and PhotoImpact and both couldn't open them. Paintshop Pro quits, because it doesn't support the "color model".
I don't know, what else i can do to open these files. I looked around the forum but couldn't find any solution for my problem.

May 28, 2009I just dropped a very large sum of $ to purchase CS4 Extended and the #$*@# thing is taking over 5 minutes to open!!! (Yes, I've timed it.) Once open it appears to run fine, although I've yet to put it through it's paces much. The obvious answer would be that I have an undersized slow computer. However, that is far from the case. I have a brand new Dell laptop with plenty of 'horsepower', much more than the system requirements listed on the outside of the box. It does the same thing with both the 64 bit and 32 bit version.
