I want to combine multiple image to form a single one, I saw it in a magazine, it's no a panoramic photo, It's like a face created with multiple small image that can't be se if you looking close to the image, only when you look far away. And I also want to make a magiceye image, thats pictures that look like a carpet, but when you "twist" your eye a 3d image appear.
View 4 RepliesI am trying to create some images in PS2 that have to be 3.5 to 4.0 mb. When viewing the Image Size screen, I might see an image size of 9.6 mb. However, when I save the image and run my mouse over the image in Bridge, it shows a size between 2 to 3 mb. I can't figure out why this discrepancy, or what math I need to do in order to figure out how to create the required image size other than by trial and error.

When I open a photo.... work on it.... open a second photo....It opens and appears as a blank pallet, (as if there's no picture) but.... when I grab and move the image window with my cursor at the top border, the image appears... then when I release it placing it where I want to move it... the image disappears again. The image is visable the WHOLE time within the navigator panel.

I then have to restart CS5 in order to fix it... but then it'll happen 10 minutes later.
I have Photoshop cs6 extended addition and was told Photoshop would work for the research application I need but so far I am finding it very difficult to do what I want. Basically, I need to be able to measure multiple lines (the red ones in the screen shot) of an image precisely, and make sure that the lines I measure are documented so that they are actually visible (so not just with the ruler tool) on the screen and labeled.Â
See image for example. I need the lengths (converted with the 2 micrometer scale at the bottom of the image). When I use the info, it gives me the lengths, but I can't save them, or look them up at a different time. Also, when using the line tool, then doing the "record measurement" it does not give me the length of the line but insted acts like it is a thin rectangle and gives me a height (which does not seem to be the same as if I used the measurement tool and put it next to the line, which is an idea I have, but not as accurate) and a width.Â
I have a whole directory of images which I took with my digital camera. I want to post them on my site, however I would like to reduce their size to fit the html pages. I know how to perform this task for individual photos, but since my directory consists of many images, this task will be very time consuming.
I was wondering if there is any way to have photoshop make the same image
size reduction on all images, by running some sort of script or any other way.
If there is such a way, does photoshop also save the new smaller images?
I have a series of actions that copy a document, apply a colour profile, resize and then save as - so I can export as jpeg. These actions work individually but currently I have to enter a file name.
What I'd like to do be able to do is select an action which runs say three or four of those actions - say export at 600, 800, 1200 pixels dimension and also suffixes the file name with that number.. so IMG0001.JPG becomes IMG001_800.JPG, IMG001_1200.JPG etc etc.
i have around a hundred images, all of which need the same treatment in that the saturation needs lifting a little.
if i set up an action to do this with one of them, is it possible to do a batch type process with the rest with one click to do all, rather than opening up each one individually? if so, could someone please point me in the right direction of how to do it?

I have a Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 and Photoshop CS5.1 and have just hooked up my Epson RX580. On the window platform in another software program the multiple pages and/or poster options appear in the print window. But not in Photoshop on my mac. I have made sure to download the newest drivers etc.

I have been using refine edge and the quick select tool and getting great results, its creates a layer each time but i cant work out how to show all the cut outs i can only seem to see one at a time instead of all the transparent background, i assume its something to do with layers and masking perhaps.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter assembling the render output of my 3d app in photoshop (32bit) and changing the appearance via several CC layers in different layer modes (e.g. Hue/saturation in Overlay mode) I ended up with my composing for print purposes. The comp is complex, with several masked folders, single masked CC layers and many image layers (some with masks). Now the client wanted me to animate part of the image. No problem I thought. But the trap is of how to assemble the different image sequences (diffuse, specular, reflection, masks, etc, etc). I came up with a PS action which loaded the single images and arranged them in the same fashion as the master file. But now PS doesn't load the incremental images for the batch processing. Images are named in a Diffuse_00001, Specular_00001, ... fashion. Loading the first set works, but from Diffuse_00002 everything goes wrong and PS load the 00001 files (except from one file which loads in the proper incremental way). I can't transfer this stuff to AE as it is much too complex and I do no AE only very little. I guess PS should be capable to solve this batch task, but a simple action via batch seems to fail.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having a little trouble trying to add multiple fade to transparent gradients appear in a single image. Here are the steps I have done so far:
Create a new vector with the photo unlocked
Add a layer mask
use the black to white gradient, so the edge of the photo is completely translarent and as you move to the center, it slowly reveals the photo.
I used this technique I found online for one edge of the photo and it worked great, untill I tried the second gradient on the same photo, and the first one I did disappeared. I guess Photoshop only lets you have one.
The next thing I tried is to create another vector mask and create another gradient, but it did not work at all. Also, Photoshop only lets you have two vector masks per layer, so That wont do me much good if I need 4 gradients, each one fading to transparent around the 4 edges of the photo.
Any solution would be greatly appreciated. I plan to take the photo that has the fade to transparent gradients and copy it to another background image with some text.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm doing a project for my World Religions class, and we are to make a a poster board that is supposed to represent a newspaper. He showed examples of last years, and they were really bland, it just looked like cut out pieces of paper places on a posterboard with a newspaper-like title.
I want to know if it is possible to make an image in photopshop, that basically looks like the front of a newspaper by my design, and print it out, of course, this is going on a poster board probably like 2ftx3ft.
So I'd print out like 6 to 9 8x11 sheets with pieces of this huge picture, I'd just cut it out and glue it on the poster board, so itll more realistically resemble a newspaper. I'm fine with using photoshop and make images etc (unless someone has some useful tips)... I'm just concerned if I will be able to do this. I haven't been able to mess with it and figure it out, but I dont want to go through all of my project, print it, and it doesnt work or something.
If not in photoshop, is there a plug-in, external program I can use?
I've edited my photos, resized them all the same and now want to use the "process multiple files" funtion to put a watermark on each image.

In the past this has not been a problem but now when I use this feature, the watermark font size is inconsistent between each image.

I am using Photoshop CS5 and am creating a photo montage poster with about 30 images on it. The photos are not stellar and I need to change levels, exposure, saturation etc to each image. I was creating groups from layers for each image then dropping it onto the montage file, but I see that filters effect every layer below.Â
I have a gradient layer as my background and I don't want it affected nor do I want every layer below affected. I created smart layers from each image, that works, but it really slows the system down. What is the smartest and most efficient way to handle this?Â

If I open up a JPG image in Photoshop, make some edits, then use the 'save as' command (using a lower quality setting), overwriting the current file open, will saving it again further compress the image that is currently open? Or does photoshop store the original file (when it was first opened) information until closed?
