I was told that to resize a batch of photos to use the multiple selection tool. Howver, this button is not active as it appears in my Photoshop 11. D I have to import the files to a certain location or something.
Yesterday this was working; today it's not. When I try to process multiple files I get this error message: "Could not complete the Process Mulitple Files command because the disk is not available."
I'm on a Mac - 10.6.8. The disk is not full. I am trying to convert Open TIF files to JPGS. And like I said, this was working for me yesterday.
Here's what I've tried as far as troubleshooting:
1. Going to your username>library>preferences and deleting:
com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 paths Adobe Photoshop Elements 10settings
repair permissions and try again.
2. restarting the editor while holding down command+shift+option, keeping the keys down till you see a window asking if you want to delete the settings file. I did.
Its a jpg, I need to add it to about 400 photo's quick.I know how to add a watermark using process multiple files, but he wants his logo on the photo's.
I have a logo watermark x 2 which I need to add to a number of pictures, is there a way I can do this in one go or without manual input. I aware of the function that allows a text watermark to placed on an image while processing multiple pictures. I am elements 9 user.
New to Adobe, I have had several issues with consumers images. I can not find how to save as jpeg and keep photo intergrity. Either the processer (local pharmacy, big name store.. etc) is cropping my images badly. I have been told this is my problem when I save in jpeg format. How do i protect my image? Resize with the pixels? P
How does one create a watermark that can be placed outside the image? There will be a strike line surrounding the image and the watermark was requested to be placed outside that line. I started in Lightroom then progressed to Elements 10 looking for a way to do it.
Capture a bunch of signatures to be later used in PS for creating a collage of a sports team...each photo will have the players signature... I'd like to ideally use my i pad to capture and then move to PS where I can associate each signature with a photo, etc. The trick is to work off a list of names and be able to keep the association as a move it to PS...
File Maker Pro / Go combo will do what I want I think but its quite pricey at $150+40...was hoping some other cheaper way was possible. Obviously need to pay attention to transparency issues..Don't want to have to manually delete white backgrounds once imported, etc.
I am starting a project and doing research about having the possible chance of making either a UV or X-ray scanner with the ability of scanning numerous 2d drawings onto a photoshop like software all at one time. While going to SJSU it took me a longer time to shoot single shots of my 136 page animation project than it took me to draw it out frame by frame... so I told my teacher David Chai one day-" why not build a cube with an x-ray beam and shoot my whole project all at one time?
" It has been a long time since Art23 and I still have the same dream of doing a full length animation- if it were to ever happen I would need a software with the capability of running a composite that would hold multiple frames scanned(30 perhaps) through a front and side x-ray or UV ray that can harness the depth of each individual frame being scanned at the same time. If I had software that could hold data from each frame... I believe I can work out my schools animation team ad well as move towards making numerous 5 page "final D" animation in a way make a full length film with my old crew Studio.
I'd like to apply my company's emblem (saved as jpg or psd) onto about 100 photos as a watermark.
I'm needing to do some Contact Sheets, is there a quick process to click to do this?
I don't particularly want to Batch Action each photo as the watermark will only appear on the contact sheet, I don't wish to create a whole new set of images if i can help it.
I have just learned how to apply a watermark or copyright to a group of photographs using an action command. But as the action is running, before each image closes, I get the window asking me to specify image quality (1 to 12). I have to hit 'OK' for each image before it closes, and the action completes the rest.
Does anyone know how to add this to the action or have 'ok' automatically hit so I don't have to push it for each image. A friend of mine has a piece of software that does it automatically, but I cannot remember the name of it and want to know if it is something within Photoshop that can do it. I am currently running PHOTOSHOP CS.
I have a whole bunch of photos I need to batch process, but, when creating an action for this, I stumbled upon the problem that the paths I selected with the pen tool, and saved under the "Paths" tab need to be in every image for to be used in the action.
I have an action in which it will place an image onto an image like a watermark, when i place the image, it is not center by center so i drag it or use keyboard arrows to center and then press enter, then i saw its on the center, but when i save it, the saved image is not on the center, how was that?
you can see that the right side of border it is not centered because the left side border is thicker than right side, here is the part of the action
you can see that i move the image after i place it because its not on the center so adjusting it makes it at the center but the Translate part is not equal.
I'm a photographer, and I would like to add a small watermark to photographs I publish online. So that people would find my name and website. I know how to add a watermark to a single image, but I was wondering if there is any way to add the same watermark to multiple images in one operation. This can be done in PS so I was hoping that there is also a way with Paint.NET.
I have 8 png files that are all exactly the same apart from one part in each that differs. I want to make one image but have the image refresh every 3-4 seconds so that all the image stays the same apart from the one area that I want to change.
Today I'm working on actions that embody steps that do upsampling, and I'm using some of my panoramic images as test input with Photoshop CS6 x64 on Windows 7 I just calculated how many pixels are in the upsampled images, to get an idea of how stressful these actions will be on systems when people run them...
A 25,659 x 6,069 pixel image is no small thing in itself, at 155 megapixels... But upsampling it to 320% original size in both horizontal and vertical dimensions yielded 82,108 x 19,420 pixels - a 1.5 gigapixel image! And I'm working at 16 bits/channel. I was a bit surprised that I am just regularly chunking through gigapixel sized data. And I'm multitasking all the while - browsing, keeping up with eMail, listening to streaming internet radio...
The take-away from this is that with today's computer power and resources Photoshop just blazes through gigapixel+ sized documents now!Seems to me it wasn't THAT long ago we heard about the world's first gigapixel image, and now we're actually starting to hear about the first terapixel images, which are still challenging to make.
advanced batch image processing. I need the following to happen to a folder of images:
1) All images in the folder are resized with constrained proportion to a width of 250px.
2.) They are then combined into one image file placed above each other in a column (literally, not layers). Each image also needs spacing between the other, about 20px
3.) This is then compressed as an 8 quality jpeg and exported as a new image.
So basically I have a folder of images that I want to convert into a long 'gallery' image with spacing between each.
I've been told that I've got 700 images to process and remove the greyish background from each of them so they appear to be on a completely white background.
I am planning to get a new PC to work on large image files (1-3 GB) in PS CS4 (I work with 8x10 inch view camera and then scan the negatives). I was thinking about Core i7 with Quadro PNY FX1800 and 6GB RAM. Is this a good choice or rather overkill ? Off course I was also thinking about a ProMac, but could not find real advantages over a PC.

There's some image processing commands in photoshop, like high pass and blur (i.e. low pass). I want more. Is there a way to achieve frequency doubling, or better yet, frequency x N where N is any number the user can specify?
This may be useful for making coarse skin texture look finer. It can be implemented by diving the selected area into small squares, and then shrink each squares to half their original sizes. This would make the details look finer grain (hence frequency doubling). It would open up gaps between the squares, which can be filled in by taking additional samples and shrinking them to fill the gaps. This is similar to frequency doubling in audio processing.
I am a Retoucher and I have a new client that sends me 150 - 200 Real Estate photos per day. They shoot the photos so that I have 1 ambient exposure (Background Layer) and 1 flash exposure (Layer 1) which I then blend together with a recipe I designed for their look. I need to find a way to speed up the processing and although my action executes the look exactly how I need it in a very efficient manner the real time killer is the opening & layering steps.
I know this a long shot but my ideal solution would be to drag the folder of images which are sorted and/or labelled in the correct order in to a droplet and from there it processes the images one at a time but layering the files (ambient as "Background" and flash as "Layer 1"), running the action, has a stop-action on lens correction, asks me where to save, closes the image and continues to the next image.
I have Elements 8 for the processing the raw files from my Nikon D40. There has been not issue with these files. I just recently picked up a D7100. Now with this camera when i download the raw files to the computer I am receiving a message that Elements does not reconize those raw files and will not open them.
Is there some different setting for the newer camera's?
