I have updated my MAC to Maverick and Adobe CC and all was fine till the main screen disapeared but tool bar remains. I unistalled, re-installed...rebooted, and spent three hours on the phone with New Delhi trying to reset Java, permissions etc...still nothing. how to get the screen back?
View 1 RepliesI just downloaded Apple's new operating system "OS X Version 10.9" (Maverick). When I tried to open Adobe After Effects CS6 (which I purchased within the last year), immediately the following message came up (it wouldn't even open):
"You can't use this version of the application 'Adobe After Effects CS6' with this version of OS X.
You have 'Adobe After Effects CS6' 11.0."
When I googled this problem, I discovered that I could download "Adobe After Effects CC 12.0.1 Update." When I did this, the following message came up when I clicked "AdobePatchInstaller" :
"Update Failed
Updates could not be applied
This patch is not applicable for you. Pleas check for updates from the Help menu in your product to see a list of the latest updates available.
If the problem persist, contact customer support for further assistance."
The problem with those instructions, is that I can't even open the application to access the "Help menu" inside.
In Photoshop Elements 11 for Dummies the main display area (Figure 1-2) has an area to the right with the headings Keyword Tags and Information, and down below that Image Keywords. My version of PSE 11, which I just bought, does not show this area to the right of the main display area. Also, the main display area includes a bunch of frames with names like "A_Taste_of_Sicily.mp3". Is this because my version of PSE 11 is different from the version used by the writers of the Dummies book or is there something I need to do first?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have CS3 installed on my windows XP computer. It is notinternet capable, have second online computer for that purpose. I only have RAW version 4.0 on my PS3 program purchased several years ago. I have downloaded the upgrade for RAW 4.6 on my internet computer and with a CF card have moved the file over to my other computer where PS3 resides. The file has been unzipped and is on my desktop in that computer at the moment. Now what do I do with the file? Where do I put this upgrade so that it will be put into effect with my PS and adobe RAW program. Obviously I have a very limited knowledge of computers and this is the first time I have ever downloaded any sort of plug in to be put into practise.

When I work the photo (JPG, TIFF or PSD) to where it is what I want, the preview is darker in the print preview. Probably one f/stop in photo terms. And, THIS is how it actually prints.
What is causing that? And, is there a fix?
None of the "show paper color," etc. are checked, so that is not causing the difference.
How can the color of the main Gimp screen be changed? Mine's gray and I want it black.

Photoshop cs6 works almost perfectly on the sony vaio tap 20 windows 8 computer. One problem is the touch screen's compatibility with photoshop. Inorder to draw with my finger or a pen, I need to select outside of the boundary of the canvas and drag in order to draw. The program works fine with the mouse and keyboard, but the touch screen is really what I want to use.

I have 2 monitors. I’m currently working on the file on monitor 2. Having the layer panel on monitor 1, I'm trying to create a clipping mask by holding down the option button on monitor 1's layer panel.
It will jump to the file on monitor 1 and stays on that monitor unless I move the layer panel to monitor 2. Every other function seems to work fine so far, but this one really bothers me a lot.
I cannot get the Adobe TV videos to play--even the ones in my library--all I get is a black screen--I have been ay from Adobe TV for several months--what has changed and how can I view the videos?

Super annoying and this only happened after my Maverick upgrade. I contacted Apple, but the issue is ONLY with Lightroom -- not any other program, so Apple thinks it's an Adobe bug.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have shot tethered through various versions of Lightroom with various cameras with mixed results. With each new version of LR, it seems that shooting tethered becomes more prone to crashes and in LR 5, I have found that the transfer of images is so slow as to be unusable. I recently had a shoot where I used LR 5 for the first time. The transfer of images was so slow that, after trying disk doctor to repair the disk and restarting the computer several times, I finally switched back to LR 4 and found that the transfer, while still prone to its odd temperaments, was much much faster than LR 5.
While LR 4 seems to be much better than LR 5 for shooting tethered, it is still so temperamental. If the camera sits for more than a few minutes without activity, LR no longer accepts images from the camera. I then have to shut down LR and restart it, making sure to have the camera off until LR is relaunched and tethering is turned on once again. If I do it in the wrong order, it doesn't work. During a shoot, it is maddening to have to constantly restart LR 4.
Looking for making LR 4 less temperamental and LR 5 functional when tethering?
After installing Mavericks, I can no longer link files in illustrator CC as the finder window closes by itself after one second or if I click on anything. It was happening with save as also, but that seems to have rectified itself by reinstalling the program.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm here with 2013 SP2 64 bit Build 200 and two screens. Left screen is graphics area, Browser is on the left of right screen. Graphics is ATI Fire Pro V7800 with driver 9.3.3.3000.
In video (zipped MP4) you see a cutout of both screens, think of screens changing at the left of the browser.
Now, in many cases, after doing an operation, the browser is jumping back to the middle of my graphics in the left screen.
I had Photoshop CS6 installed and working on my Mac using Adobe Creative Cloud. However now a dialog appears that says "Help Improve Adobe's Product". Regardless if I approve this dialog or not Adobe Photoshop starts up with every menu option grayed and I can do nothing. I have to force quit the application. At this point it is 100% unusable.
I've googled it and seen others with a similar issue but no solutions found. I have OSX 10.8.3.
Others with similar issues. URL....No real solution other than don't use Mac Keeper (which I do not) URL....
Product: CS4 64 bit: Adobe Output Module-Adobe updater downloads 2 updates 75.9mb (Camera Raw 5.3). After download and permission to continue under user account control, I receive popup menu advising me that Installation Incomplete, close Adobe Bridge - 3 choices, which always fail. My Adobe CS4 and Bridge are not open. I tried this several times with the same result.I downloaded the zip file, saved, unzip, and still get the same notice - close Bridge.
